1. Study hard starting with the basics - HTMM DVD & Trading Tickers
2. Prepare the night before. Scanners, watchlists...
3. Wake up before market open. Review and re plan the day
4. Don't go too big and risk all your account. Don't be greedy. Take profits or partial profits along when you can
5. Trade multi day breakouts. Set and respect your risk
6. Learn to read SEC filings. Gives you an edge
7. Only make a trade when the right pattern presents itself
8. Take one position at a time maximum three
9. Keep spreadsheets to see what works for you
10. Learn new strategies
11. And don't give up! Don't blow up your account before you have the chance to succeed

From my experience buying breakouts (intraday, multi-day, or multi-month) is also the best and most reliable strategy to earn money on the stock market. I learned it from Tim Sykes's "Pennystocking" DVD.

Roland's gain ratio is incredible he'll be a millionaire student in no time. The info he offers is literally what you preach to your students EVERY DAY. The formula works.. what you guys teach and do works and this proves it. Can't believe that he gained this much so soon. Inspirational.
i can tell right off the bat that this guy is calm and dead serious. perfect traits to beat the emotion.

I love this kind of videos, it reminds us, that success takes a lot of hard work and dedication, but the rewards are tremendous.
I actually went on profitly and looked at all of Roland's trades every last one of them and looked at what was the news that day where he got in , where he sold and why. I also looked at the losers to. U talking about studying it took me a couple hours to do this. I did all this when I finished watching disk 5 of htmm. I seen the whole DVD already so therefore I don't watch it straight through. I'm studying my ass off

One of my favorite videos. Can relate to Roland & it's really great that he brings up points I feel are overlooked for beginners. For example when he said You don't like to sell for a loss when you're under the PDT because then you waste a day trade. I'm still facing that struggle because I want to cut losses quickly but if I do, I lose one of three precious trades for the week. & if you believe in the pattern, you end up taking a bigger loss because you wanted to give it a little more time to bounce. Personally that's why I hate the PDT, If I could cut a loss quick then buy back in if the stock comes back up it'd be perfect, but I end up taking bigger losses because I don't have an extra trade to buy back in. Thanks for the interview Tim/Roland! Always helpful.
I personally prefer 5-10 trades a day... it keeps me in the game, working the setups. I typically flip 4 trades, get out on a 15m chart, and then take another 4-5 days to work the money to the end of the day. The goal is always 2% of my buying power per day. 44% per month + compounding factor creates a great paycheck. I reinvest all my earnings day to day to allow it to compound. 2% x 22 days trading x 4x leverage x 2.5 compounding factor gives a nice pay check.

This makes so much sense to me now. I started trading 3 months ago on Robinhood usually trading on well known companies. But all my big gains have been made on those lesser known under $10 companies. You just have to time it right and do your homework. Thanks for the video Tim!

So Roland kind of muddled along for a few months (same here) until:
-- He started taking it seriously and studying more
-- He focused specifically on the "Trading Tickers" and "How to Make Millions" DVD's/Online lessons
-- He started preparing his trading plan for the next day the evening before using his scans
-- He got up earlier in the morning so that he was better prepared for pre-market and the opening bell

Tim, correct me if I'm wrong but if he really only had 4.000 $ to his name with a steep profit curve like that looks like he went "all in" more than just once. Also would be interesting to know what broker he used. With SureTrader you can escape the PDT rule but monthly fees (platform, L2 data, etc.) are still around 150$ as with most brokers btw... great job nonetheless - chapeau!
