- Just a little tip for making your own custom sized glue dots/adhesive glue dots, spots, bits, pieces, blobs...whatever for crafting =)
NO TRADEMARK INFRINGEMENT IS INTENDED. This video is intended to show you how to make your OWN glue dots (adhesive dots using GLUE) if you are in a pinch and need some right away, or need a custom size for a particular project. These glue dots/adhesive dots are made using Aleene's Tack it Over and Over liquid GLUE, or any other similar none permanent liquid glue.
I bought my Aleene's tack it over and over at Scrapbook.com but I'm sure you can probably get it at Walmart etc =)
The BEST GLUE EVER is the best to make glue dots. Well, that's my opinion. They come out perfect.
Amazing how people come up with these ideas. Love it! Plus the money I'll save making my own! Thank you so much for showing us!
Great idea. I am going to have to try it. The tack it over and over glue is great and super sticky. Great for re-sticking cling stamps when they have lost their cling or making your own cling stamps too.
Thanks for the tip! I hate to say but I just found a bottle that's probably 13 years old according to the date stamp on the bottle (11 6 96). I used it on my unmounted rubber stamps. Just brush it on and let it dry preferably overnight. It will stick to the acrylic blocks. Got this tip today from TikiBoo78 and now I can make some glue dots. I just can't believe it still works! :)

Great fun idea--make your own size. Thanks.
I love this glue. I use it for unmounting wooden block stamps to turn them into cling stamps. Great glue
I love making my own glue dots, I also use old sticker sheets to use instead of mac tac, Aleene's is awesome.
I love anyone with a good imagination, thanks for sharing this with us :) Well done!
TFS, I love to save money, and make whatever I can. Your idea is fab! Thank you so much!
LOVE Aleene's Glue! I'll have to try this.
No, it has to be the Aleene's tack it over and over because elmers will just dry hard. The tack it or and over dries gummy/sticky.
Great tip! I always run out of glue dots and its a money saver as well, I'm all about that! TFS

@MegaPrincess1998 You can actually use parchment paper- it's silicone instead of waxed paper, and they don't stick to it. You can even use a silpat if you want to, but I wouldn't reuse it for food if you do.
Oh yeah...I have to hide from my kitties also! How cute is that! I will look at WalMart for sure!
Omfg love you !! I have a ton of sticker backing paper!
Lol Thanks! Love ya back 😁❤️
Great idea! I am so glad to have found this tip!!! Thank you so much for sharing!

For my birthday in March my son ordered me 5 bottles of Aileen’s Tac It Over and Over!! Here in BC Canada it is only available on Amazon. I made some dots on a piece of hard plastic for clear rubber stamps and never covered them. The dots stuck to the sheet of plastic and are tacky but they don’t transfer to paper or to my fingers. By the time I scrape the dot off, it looks like a rolled up mess. I’m thinking the dots either had to be covered after they dried or I used the incorrect type of plastic. I saved my Zots roll and will try making them that way.
This is AMAZING!! Thanks for sharing!
Excellent, excellent, excellent. So cool. TFS
Excellent!! Thanks
cool idea!! TFS !! Friday
TFS! Glue dots are EXPENSIVE!
Awesome! Thank you! Hilarious too. Love your vid!
It's like sticky shelf liner? You usually buy it in a roll and it comes in all different designs. People use it to line their cupboards and drawers with. I am sure it has other names, but we have always called it mac tac, lol
This is so cool !!! Thanks
great video! heard about this from a small shop in ft. myers!! I have found that this glue is only available online. most stores do not carry it on their shelves. Just ordered 3 from walmart and they will ship for free to the store! looking forward to making my own glue dots and re-sticking my cricut mats!
Yes, because the tack it over and over dries rubbery....but stays sticky...just like glue dots =)
Thanks so much for this ideas. I use glue dots a lot. I am always looking for more faux products. ideas. I can't go out and buy all those things I want, so this is so helpful to us who have to stretch every penny. Thanks again. Oh, you mentioned other ideas for this glue. Do you have other tutorials? m
LOVE IT!!!!!!!! Thank you!
I am wondering if you could use butcher paper for the backing? I got a huge roll of that.
If I need to make your glue dots for 32 students making holiday bears using felt pcs . Two felt bear templates with stuffing inside...will your glue dots work and where can I get the slick paper that will work for the glue dots?
Thank you for your help.
LOL @ the GIANT Glue Dot!!! Thanks for the tip! :)
I'm thinking its prepositional glue dots since it's tack over and over?
No, it has to be the Aleene's tack it over and over it's the only glue that dries tacky so it keeps its "sticky" =)
I have tried to make some glue dots with white glue and it turned out bad. It was not sticky on both sides. Must we use the Aleens tack it over and over?
Just saved me slot of money. Bye bye zots. Tfs Shirlene
WOW ~~ this is amazing and a real money saver...
Are these glue dots permanent though...I don't want my items falling off my cards...
Thank you so much for sharing...
Have a fun summer evening...

@asngirl89 Hi =) No it won't work with regular glue, it has to be the Aleenes Tack It Over and Over, because that glue stays sticky even after it's dry. Thanks For Watching! =)
Hello, Thanks for the video, very good demonstration.
Could you please tell me how I can glue some rubber dots to a sleeve that I wear on the arm (similar to a grip tight cloth)? I need to do this to provide better grip for a device I need to wear on the sleeve.
oh cool thanks
You're definitely a mom!!
It was funny when you put the paper backwards :D
Thanks for the tip, because the so called "glue dots" aren't sticky at all, they're more like soft silicon or something that comes out of ones nose, (sorry)
You can use wax paper too. It's cheaper for you
I'm not sure, but I know you can get it online at simon says stamps =)
Okay. Thanks! :)
Can u use any other Aleenes glue instead of over and over plz reply
No, only Aleenes tack it over and over because it stays sticky after it's dry =)
Not at Walmart.. It's at michaels cause I got my bottle there
Can you get that glue in england?
What's Mac tac ?
People say you need parchment paper, and you say sticker paper, I don't know what to do?
Are these glue dots permanent?
i'm subscribing!
Hi, thanks for sharing, great tutorial. How long do they last? More than a month? Thanks again :)
can you use freezer paper?
Can you use a glue gun?
cool
Are the glue dots permanent ? or temporary?
Best
Just subscribed! :)
how to use them?
Can i use any glue
No, you have to use Aleens Tack it Over and Over. I've also seen it called Aleens Stick and Restick recently 😊
can you use elmers glue
Yah. That's what I used to do this glue dots 👊.
P.S. it dries overnight do it around 9:30 then it'll dry and check it around 9:00 if it is already dry if its still not wait for 9:30 thats what I did to male my own glue dots and I don't even know what that us for 😂😂. So go ahead and do it.yeas you could use Elmer's glue 😊👌
Tnx
can we use any else glue
No unfortunately it has to be Aleene's Tack it Over & Over because
that glue stays sticky after it's "dry" which allows you to use it for a
glue dots =)
I do not receive nay sound to this video. Pity
What's a glue dot?
nvr mind

GigiGaming123 that’s how I found this demo, trying to find what and where to use. Seems it’s mostly in paper crafting and I don’t do that.
