  • Well while I am here, and while I am at it! I uploaded this wonderful Dime Store Dance Series record from 1929 - by Billy James Orchestra as Hollywood Dance Orchestra, Jerry White on the vocal, Composed by Hoffman, I have very little info on this record, But I sure hope you will enjoy this, no matter where You are!!

    This Billy James performance with Jerry White on vocal is so utterly enjoyable and delightful... Peppy and energetic, but at the same time so refined and polished. The 20s in the best sense of the word :-) Thank you so much for sharing this, I loved it!

    Those Dime Store records were the best with some of the greatest dance band performances of the era. You definitely pulled a rabbit out of the hat with this.

    The vocal sounds a lot like Frank Munn. This is the Billy James Orchestra and his vocalist in their prime.

    These very pronounced "r"s is rather silly! Otherwise good!

      That was a thang in the 1900s to 1930s on recordings! The R's were supposed to be rolled, for some folks it is quite easy, others it is hard, Learning Spanish, we had to repeat "POT O TEA" over and over again to train our mouths to do this!
