@@viggohjortkjr5219 Your reply to a comment from several years ago IS actually relevant in that he's pointing out a fact and one that any artist can appreciate. That is always a true artist's desire to appeal to people from all demographics, young (which may be you), old (which is me), all races, sexes, colors and creeds. It's not from any kind of monetary motivation for a true artist like David, but from an emotional connection. Culturally speaking, for a large portion of time, black people have preferred or leaned heavily into black artists but that has changed considerably in recent years as artists like David have the kind of emotion and "soul" that crosses genres. So rather than get kind of snippy, if I'm reading between the lines, let's celebrate the connections that music creates and not question the motives of the commenter. If I have misinterpreted your reply then that is due to these forms of communication being easy to misread, but I don't think I'm wrong on this. Soul is soul no matter what package it's clothed in. I appreciated "the brother's" comment myself! And the fact that he did point out his race only made it more of a compliment to David and his artistry! Have a good one!

Whew, that was a mouthful! Hope you have done a deep dive into more of David's music as he is a force to be reckoned with. I love the guy and his music moves me in multiple ways all involving some kind of emotional connection. Hope you've discovered more of his music, he is really stellar tho in many ways under the radar!!

This guy has always been so fucking underrated. Hands down, one of the absolute best voices in music, period.
The underrated ones are always the best, principally because they have not sold out and sing just to sing.
probably has no one who will publish and endeavor to get his songs on any country or pop stations. Maybe he should go independent. I'm sure he is not alone.
Yep I love a lot of his music. I looked for concerts but there aren’t so many. However in response to one commentator, he has had hits and is definitely on country radio

I love his performance of this... he absolutely nailed the emotions this song calls for... the singer is someone that accepts defeat, but still genuinely wishes well to the person he's singing this to. Definitely underrated, very much so. Love this cover.
I've never understood why this guy hasn't been more successful. He's the BEST male vocalist in country music to date. I was fortunate to see him in concert in Lexington, KY at Buster's. He's simply AMAZING live. If you don't have his music in your collection, you're missing something pretty special. And yes, great cover. Adele would be proud.
I would say Josh Turner is the best male vocalist with David in close second.

Love David Nail. Always thought he had a great voice better than Aldean who gets a lot of recognition. Not saying Aldean isn't good but voice quality of Nail is better.

His songs should be #1's, time after time. His music is so compelling, so fascinating, so interesting, so different...you/I just dont ever get tired of listening to him. When those others have worn thin, he will have longevity/staying power. Too bad his numbers don't routinely reflect how good he is. We need to share him with tons of other people who may not know him. And request his stuff, support his live shows and buy his music and merch!

David Nail you should your own take on "Walking in Memphis" I love what you did with "Someone Like You" and I really feel like "Walking in Memphis" fits the ballad type of song that you do a lot. These stripped down songs are amazing and I am not the only one who would enjoy it!!

Adele has an amazing and beautiful voice but David really knocked this out of the park. The stripped down version with the piano and David's vocals transforms this song to absolutely amazing.

David's ear for a great song, whether it's his or someone else's, blows my mind. He makes this Adele tune sound like he wrote it. I love both artists and both versions of this heart felt, painful, but beautiful song.
Great job, and also have to give him props for actually jumping up an octave on the "Don't forget me" line in the choruses. Most people don't have the range to do that when covering this song, Adele didn't even always do it herself when she sang it live.

This explains my hole life right now. I had the best, beautiful gentle young man I use to love and the last thing I wished for him to go. I couldn't save him. I couldn't save us from that tragedy. I miss him to my last breath and I cry for him everyday but no one seems to hear my echo. I'm alone. I am living in the house we made together and its no longer home to me. Not anymore and I cant even look at myself in the mirror anymore because that face I'm looking at. Was his favorite. I was his world and he was mine and I fucking want him back in my arms. The worst thing here, I'm sleeping on his bed with his blankets and pillows. Thank you to FOX 17 News for informing me of the existence of this. For the first time now, I absolutely love this song. Adele is an amazing artist, I just don't like her myself.
