"100 Push Ups, 100 Squats, 100 Sit Ups and a 10Km run every single day!" All this with no Air Conditioning, a rediculously strict diet and tiny spending limit. Also while working various small part time jobs (At some point, he worked in a haunted house attraction described in one of the audiobooks). Plus, he's forgetting that he still had frequent daily/weekly battles with deadly monsters during those 3 years.
Guys I just want You to know something about Saitama. He actually lives in an abandoned part of Z city that no one simply visited to cut off the power and water, so he basically steals that also he doesn't pay rent or have a stable income. That is why he is soooo serious about tge discounts. I thout You should know that for the future.
Funny little info: When one punch man first aired there were a few people that claimed they would attempt his workout. All of them stopped because they started losing hair.
@@phoenix1026 Did they try it for 1 year and a half and without using AC? I've never heard of anyone who actually followed Saitama's training program. I don't think people would really lose hair following it, but I really think it can't be good for health.
One Punch Man is supposed to be a spoof of all the shonen battle anime/manga. Where the heroes and villains have long exaggerated monologues and crazy powers and power ups.
Apparently kizaru as well? Quote me if im wrong since im looking off of the wiki but i can kinda here kizaru from one piece when he ask saitama how did he get that strong. Just more angry and pronounced since kizaru seem high asf all the time 🤣🤣🤣
Just for your peace of mind: the reason you recognized Carnage Kabuto's voice is because he was voiced by the same actor who did Old Joseph Joestar in Jojo's Bizarre Adventure: Stardust Crusaders
It's true that training like Saitama wouldn't make you as strong as him, because this anime exaggerates stuff, but it's impossible to train like him anyway. To do 100 push-ups, 100 sit-ups, 100 squats and a 10km run is very hard, but not impossible. The impossible part is to do this training regiment every single day long term. Your body will be too stressed and damaged, because each time you workout you cause micro tears in your muscles, taking at least 1-2 days off to rest heals these micro tears, but if you workout like Saitama every single day, you won't be healing, you'll just be injuring yourself more and more, then eventually your body will probably shut down.
I don't believe they ever truly confirmed the origin of Saitama's power, but there seems to be hints that, in this world, if you obsess or desire something enough, it will change you. The Crabman monster was so obsessed with eating crabs, and ate so much he turned into a crab man monster. That car modification guy turned into a car man monster. This ends up showing up later in alot of other monsters, and even some of the more powerful and significant heroes.
@@celiskurtis I would say there is a relation between the more powerful heroes and monsters, in regards to their origins. But there seems to be a distinction between what makes a hero and monster, and it might be something to do with their motives... or something.
@@celiskurtis yes he is, if you notice from the start saitama fought against the crab man, he was said he want to be become a hero that can kill every monster with one punch, that's his desire
The message i get there is: In this world, a lot of people are trying to find happiness in owning things or riches, having this and having that, looking younger but saitama shows that all it takes to be happy is already in each of us, we just didn't see it.
"Will someone recognize Saitama?" Will someone, yes, like Genos a few others. Will everyone or most people....no, at least not for a long time (even the manga hasn't has him appreciated by people) its likely not to happen until the very end since that is kinda the shtick. The overall theme of this series is subverting many superhero tropes. Additionally, its represents "what happens after" for a shounin series. Like, so many series the person wants to become the strongest, to protect people, etc. but when they finally beat that antagonist the show ends or a new antagonist who is even stronger comes along. Saitama represents when that person reaches that ultimate level of power, the pinnacle, "...what then?" which is an interesting thing, as we all want to improve, be the best, succeed, but with much of our shows its the journey that we enjoy, rather than the destination. Even in this series, most likely you'll find the characters around Saitama more interesting, which is ok, he's more of something for everyone to bounce off.

hey guys, great reaction! if you decide to continue watching till season 2, I recommend watching the Blu-Ray version, cuz the television version for that season has this terrible blurring/ghosting effects which obscure most of the fighting animations in there. looking forward for the next reaction episode!
Saitama: strong, worry about sales in one day and work hard for three years Smartass : 70 works research gone to waste one day I honestly pitty that guy all that science crap just to get beaten by bigger fish in the tank just because there are human impossible as saitama lol

oh, by the way, all of those exercise are to be made non stop all conseguent to the other for 3 years every day. its certainly harmful if you never excercized at that level before
Actually it is not merely a perfect turn off your brain and laugh all you want. It's much more philosophical and better representation of modern society and it's archetypes . It's like a parody of real world by using common cliche super hero troupes and template . It addresses the most fundamental issue of current population being spiritually and philosophically barren , through archetypes and symbolism
it is true that saitamas training is nothing special if you do it normaly through his villpower saitama destroyed his mind and body(he also sometimes fought monsters that would emerge and nearly died fighting also a reason why he s so strong ) every single day for three years pushed his limits without taking a break.
The thing is, if you dont increase the workload, your body gets used to it very fast. So you wont be pushing your body for 3 years by doing same number of push ups and running, your body will get used to the regime in less than 3 months unless you either increase the number of pushups etc o rkeep adding weight while doing it.
The reaaon why people don't recognize Saitama is because he is not a registered hero. So people being dumb, they just attribute his deeds to others. Also, well.. spoilers for sexond season, ao I won't say anything else.
Many thinks its easy but that training regiment is hell. Do that for a week and you wish you were dead. Do that for a year and you will lose more than a hair. Do that for 3 years and your in a coffin
