I love your guy's reactions, when he yelled out bargain day at the supermarket, I couldn't help but laugh along. Love the energy. This anime is a masterpiece.
Not sure if anyone said it already, but: When Saitama blew a hole in the wall to get out of the facility... that's an *underground* facility. That's a hole through a solid wall and absolutely every inch of the mountain behind that wall.
And the _real_ villain of the story finally reveals itself (well, we already saw it back in the Crablante flashback, but still): Saitama's financial situation (or lack thereof)!
When Saitama reveals how he became so strong that is the creator of One Punch Man speaking about himself. The creator quit his job and worked on this manga everyday for like two years. The point is consistency makes you better
Not sure if you guys already know, but every season has a couple of shorter OVA "episodes". So I would recommend seeing the OVA from season 1 after finishing season one etc. Thanks for an other enjoyable reaction :D Only thing about this episode that "bugs" me is: they where 8 levels underground, how can he hit the wall and be at ground floor...
they were on a montain, so even underground they were high up also I think there is only one level of a basement, the 8 levels had been in the tower like building genos blew up, right?
@@knightofenigma Enjoy, some think they are even better then the normal episodes. Whether that is true depends on you I guess, but it let's you know the quality is great as well ^^
Funny part is the fact that the supermarket bit wasnt random. Saitama said that they'd go immediately to the house of evolution because he can't tomorrow because of the sale. He thought it was friday.
ive seen this show multiple times but your reaction made me feel like it was my first time. hahaha continue to watch this series i will be here for it.
in russian it is a treat as well *chef`s kiss* Also of course some things can not be translated at the same level of awesomeness as they are in japanese
This anime world you might say is the one where u go on believing something or doing something to the utmost limit or insanity and somehow, by some energy you just become what you want.. Like monsters in the previous episodes became the ones they wanted to be through some unknown reasons breaking through the invisible limits .. So Saitama saying he did ONLY that training for 3 years also strengthening the mind too kind of made him break through those limits also (Remember he even said he wanted as a child, to be a hero who was the strongest and could destroy anyone with one punch, and he got what he wanted) .. This is an interesting phenomenon cause he seems to be the only HERO (good guy) in the planet with such power.. maybe others dont have such a strong will or determination to be the hero , OR becoming the monster is way easier, well like in life.. doing something bad is actually so much easier, but doing something to help others requires a lot more. Also Saitama's role in the whole anime is so big, sometimes pointed out in some hidden easter eggs and stuff . Well you guys are on a trip, this anime is incredible. Goofy, funny, well animated action anime, but also has its lessons and real feel of justice and motivation to do something you believe. No wonder the time this anime hit, it was such a hype.. people not only in Japan but elsewhere shaving heads, going to train like the routine he mentioned and just cosplaying Saitama wanting to be the character that he is. Whole season is a blast! nice reaction
TFW you think Dr. Genus and the House of Evolution will be the main villain and they get effortlessly dismantled in one episode. OPM is so good at building people up just for them to get punched.
As I saw several other comments briefly mention, there's a theory that Saitama's real power is that he doesnt have a limit to how much training improves his body. So while the rest of us could only get so much from that training, his body never stopped getting better, even though doing it so often would hurt the rest of us.
Something to think about. Saitama, the most powerful hero, nay, BEING in this universe, is an ordinary guy. He wasn't born with incredible psychic powers, he didn't master an ancient martial art, he didn't overload himself with incredible devices, he didn't replace his body parts, he never took some super soldier drug, and he was never genetically altered. He was just an ordinary man, an unproductive failure even, who decided to follow his passion one day and dedicated himself to that goal. That, and that alone, is the secret to becoming the most powerful being in the universe. So says Saitama anyway. I don't know if that message was intentional, but THAT'S what I call a motivational message.
Love seeing people get into One Punch Man, hearing their thoughts and ideas about what's happening. I love the series and I'm a little jealous of you guys, I remember how much fun watching the first season was :)
love the reaction to this series which gets better with each episode. It's kinda parody of superhero shows while being a good one. Curious to know what you think of it by end of season 2.
ONE- the _manga ka_ creator of _One Punch Man-_ said that Kabuto Carnage's rampage mode is a direct tribute to the out-of-control berserk form of Evangelion Unit-01 from _Neon Genesis Evangelion_ (and later, _Rebuild of Evangelion_ ).
What is so original about this anime is that everyone has an interesting backstory except the main character. Its the opposite to what we always see in the industry. Here every episode we meet super heroes and villains with interesting stories, goals or personalities... Then we have this guy who just trained hard i guess and lives a normal average life always winning Such a simple idea but this anime develops it well until the very end.
Saitama actually believes that he got so powerful just with his training. But how we can see, the point is not in his training, but in his pure wish to be a Hero. Such pure and such powerful that can make him the strongest.
@Tad Cooper A point that gets missed (more obvious in the webcomic/manga). Saitama is also fighting monsters while doing this training, so there is is in fact more to it, but with the way Saitama thinks, he probably wouldn't consider that part of it.
A lot of people have followed this routine and you will get ripped but trainers have suggested taking it in stages starting at ten sit ups, squats and pushups and a 1 km run and build from there just to avoid injury but apart from that it's a good work out.
Am I the only one who's cool with them reacting to the dub? I mean I've only seen the sub so I can appreciate them reacting to a different version than I'm used to.
@Sardonicus Hey Ghost stories was just a huge joke and the dub just made it even more hilarious. It also proved that if the people doing the dub are having fun then they can do just as well as the subs. The dub that ultimately made me consider that sub purists have it all wrong was Full metal Alchemist brotherhood.
Keep up the work! Y'alls subs are gonna jump once you get caught up and start droppin reactions to weekly episodes. Fyi Attack on Titan starts back up in December I believe!

What's funny is that Genos isn't wrong. Saitama's workout may sound like a lot to most people, but to someone like a professional athlete? It's a nice morning warm up, if that.
If you've only seen season 1 I can understand why you'd say that, but season 2 and the manga advance the plot quite a lot. Plus I think the dynamics of the Hero Association over society are really interesting
