Looks interesting! Didn’t know DC even made compendiums 🤔

Oh yeah man they’re definitely getting into the compendium game the once vertigo stuff for sure like sweet tooth, fables, the unwritten. But we’re starting to see more conventional DC superhero stuff get the treatment too. Got a Kyle Rayner Green Lantern one releasing I think within the month? And I know they’ve solicited a Dixon Nightwing, Batman Beyond, etc.

Almost finished reading compendium VOL 1, i can only confirm it's a must read. For the story for sure, but also for the art as mentioned in the video.

Love Starman, one of my all-time favorite series. I have James Robinson's signature and a Tony Harris Starman sketch in the the first hardcover.

I have the first two Milestone Compendiums, read both, my girlfriend read the first one and they've all held up. I feel like if you don't go out of your way to bend the spine, they should hold up fine, like a paperback novel with a similar binding. Thanks for the overview.

Appreciate the feedback! What did you think of those Milestone compendiums? I’ve been curious about those.
And yeah so far this and the sweet tooth compendium I read from DC both held up after one reading and still looked pretty new. I’m more concerned because once upon a time I had a walking dead compendium and that held up…less good.
Still a great price saving format that’s particularly fantastic for paperback lovers

@@TheComicBookReport I enjoyed the Milestone stuff, some of it is "dated", I guess, but the stories and characters were interesting and the art is good for the most part. I've seen them super cheap in places so I would say it's worth it. I have some other DC compendiums (Fables, Sandman Mystery Theatre, Top Ten, Tom Strong) but I haven't read them yet. I like this format for stuff I guess they aren't confident in selling as Omnis, hopefully the build quality stays consistent.

    Very good review 👏
This is wonderful. It gets even better. He travelled space and time and meets Jor-El on Krypton in his youth in the next volume. I own most of the floppies. You clearly enjoyed some of the pop art style so I would recommend MADMAN. I think I have recommended that book to you before. It is for all ages ( but not dumbed down) and a great tribute to Lee and Kirby with a lot of pop art style. There is no nudity or foul language and it is such a fun alternative superhero book. Mike Allred is amazing.
