The fall dress is so pretty! I wish we had a Target where I live! Tea tree oil behind the ears, sprayed (diluted of course) in the hair and on clothes, hats, basically everything, was the way I went with my 4.

Tea tree oil and peppermint are great ways to keep away lice. And always try to keep her hair up. My oldest has very thick curly hair. When she's in school i try to keep her hair either braided or in space buns. I would also put coconut oil grease along her baby hairs.
When she would catch it i would slather her hair in mayo 3 times a week for 4 weeks and have her sleep with it overnight. When i would wash her hair out i would spray her hair with vinegar and brush her hair with a lice come. After that i will go through her hair again and hand pick the eggs that were missed.
Mayo (not fat free) smothers the lice.
Vinegar helps loosen the eggs from the hair shaft.

We love the Bento boxes at our house! My oldest is in 2nd grade and has had the same ones since he first started school. Still holding up like brand new :)
Yayyyy I was worried at first it might not be enough but we have been using it here & there & it seems to be just fine so far 😄🤞

I can tell you're such a great mama.
I use coconut scented shampoo and a coconut leave in conditioner. You could always add essential oils to the conditioner ( lemon grass, eucalyptus, rosemary, lavender) are all suppose to deter lice.
Another biggie is not letting another child rest their head on the pillow and washing often.
Hey girl. Yes our girls is finally going to school. But yeah they will be so ready especially the fact you did some what homeschooling with her these past year due to covid. I got my list and it was short: one folder, crib sheet, change of clothes, and pull up if not filling potty train. Also comfortable clothes, so I went to Target and Carter’s and got her two pairs each of sweatpants. Easy access to the bathroom and easy to clean. And I brought a Wet Ones so she can carry and use before eating.
Oh I really want a cricut!! Will probably be my next big purchase 🙈 as far as lice I use Hedrin spray on my daughter, it’s like a leave in conditioner and doesn’t smell too bad, I use it for prevention and so far so good, also have heard a small bit of patchouli oil behind the ears works too 🤷♀️❤️
My daughter goes to preschool & doesn’t really have a list just the basics which is nice 😊 great video Sydney has the best mommy ever ❤️

I didn’t even know about Cricut until recently (because I live under a rock) 😂. But it looks sooo cool! It looked so intimidating at first 😅, but you made it look so easy! 💕💕

A long time Mom told me to put a couple drops of tea tree oil in my kids shampoo or leave in conditioner and it deters the lice. It worked for me! I also have talked very seriously about never sharing hats or hair supplies.

I recommend using the fairy tale hairspray, I’m 15 and I have been using it since I was 2, I never got lice and it’s a good detangler too!

Tea Tree shampoo is what our school recommended and my daughter is a teacher and she uses it during the school year also. She is going to thrive in pre-school her personality is so much like my daughter and she is still in school lol aka the teacher. Just keep her coat, toboggans, and mat washed and let her know those things we do not share then she will be fine. I am excited to see her and you on this next step of your journey!! Such a fun age :)

Yes! I’m a teacher and I’ve never had lice! Drop a little Tee tree oil in your palm with her shampoo and that should help.

My son loved his nap mat last year, this year pre-K4 I didn’t send it because he’s too long for it now but it’s great 😊
Also I just bought a bentgo box this year because last year his teachers said he was picky so yea well worth spending money to have him hopefully eat at school
I actually just bought the rosemary repel (we use the detangling shampoo and conditioner from fairy tales and LOVE it) and I don't know if I'm weird but I think it smells awesome! My mom was here when it came and she is super weird/sensitive with smells and she loved it too lol!

My daughters go to preschool outfit is a t shirt dress and leggings. In the summer she was able to remove the leggings if it got hot. In the colder months i love that her lower back is not out if she is squatting in a sandbox or something. They also remove their pants for sleep since their school room is really hot and get cozy under a blanket. She has been refusing regular t shirts so long that now we basically own none :D

As a preschool teacher the fairytale detangler is something I use myself because I have long hair. If there is an outbreak I will use the detangler everyday for the rest of the school year. It doesn’t cost much more than the regular detangler products the only bad side is your kid will smell of essential oils.
At our preschool we pay a one time fee each semester of $50. So we just send backpack, lunchbag, and nap mat each day.

Make sure you pack a change of clothes in a freezer bag! Good for accidents or if they get really dirty doing activities

Virginia is September 6th for back to school. I don’t have any kids yet but that’s when I’d personally go to school. I’d dread the day to go to school

Do you have to buy the vinyl paper you used separately or does some come with it ?
I love the nap mat. Are you sure she can use that? Our preschool has mats and we were told to bring in a crib sheet. No blanket and no stuffies. I Precovid they sent it home once a week to be washed and last year they had to take it back and forth every day. My daughter hated nap time because like you said, she hadn't napped in years. I'm sure having a blanket/mat like that would have helped! That was for prek 3. Prek 4 they only put their heads on their desks. Good luck to Sydney on her first year of school!

Eucalyptus or lavender essential oils help ward off lice. When I worked in daycares I just found shampoos/conditioners with those in it and it helped keep them away

We love Targets mix and match tops and bottoms, especially for school..cant beat the price and if they do get stained...its not so hard of a blow to the wallet. 😅

Did you get a list from her preschool as to what she needs. You will get a back-to-school list if they open, which they probably will. Most daycares and preschools and many kindergartens require nap/quiet time on mats. It's a cute, girly sleeping bag. She'll love it. Just be careful that with items of outerwear or exposed name tags/plates, that they are not visible to local perverts acting like they know children to groom them because every damn thing they own has their name emblazoned on it. Be as discreet as possible, so she and the teacher can find her whatever. The lunch box looks practical for keeping foods separate. Yes, it does look small for Sydney's appetite. LOL. Love the rust colored dress. It goes fast.

Drop a couple drops of tea tree essential oil in normal shampoo or conditioner, lice hate it. It has worked for my kiddo so far
My 4y/o just finished 3k and her school required a backpack that could fit a folder. They used the folder to send papers and “homework” home and how we sent notes to the teacher, etc.
We have the Fairytales lice spray and never used it. I don’t think it’s that necessary.

How did you remove the Bentgo label on the from the lunchbox to replace it with the your daughter name?
I didn’t remove the bentgo label. I just flipped it over & labeled the other side 😄
Just get her a good hair oil that wont cause build up and put her hair up it will prevent them
put gel or any hair spray and she will be fine. my teenage boys never had lice because we use a gel or hair spray
