This spectacular video really captures the thrilling experience that those magnificent places offer. I noticed the days are getting quite short, still dark at 7 am and then pitch black again at 6 pm so I was wondering if you would still be blundering along that long ridge in the dark. Have to say the professionalism of your recent videos is up there. Excellent viewing.

    Hi Victoria & Abel,
Thank you for the very high quality video of your Patriarch trip. The resolution is outstanding, including in the bush which most people do not manage. Also, you have been able to avoid camera shake well. I am a Nelsonion and decades ago I tramped mostly east of Nelson in the Bryant & Richmond Ranges but did a trip up to Biggs Tops/Kiwi Saddle about 20 years ago. I also have enjoyed others of your excellent videos in the Kahurangi NP area where I never managed to visit.
    Kia kaha korua!

Hi guys... Loving your videos. My darling wife is wondering how heavy Victoria's pack is and would you guys consider sharing your packing list? We live in Golden Bay and we tramp a lot. We have similar gear to you guys and we have just discovered how to make ultra ultra long life cream that doesn't require refrigeration! We now bring Baileys with us. It's great in coffees or on porridge. See you out in the hills sometime.

Hey thanks. In the description of the video I have a basic list of main gear items I tAke on each video. Victoria pack weight Will change a lot depending on the gear. I usually take the entire tent and cooking equipment so Victoria is usually pretty light. That’s sounds tasty nothing better then indulgence while out in nature. If you are in the Cobb regularly I’ll probably see you. I usually go out in bad weather tho lol

I recall the Boulder Lake trip took you 10 hours in rain c/w the 7 hours to Kiwi Saddle Hut. The DOC time is 8 hours for B Lk hut. Although I've seen 3 hours posted as the time to John Reid from KS I consider 5 hours fair if you're unfamiliar with the route, and add an hour for a diversion to Mt Patriarch.
