I'm using a 3080ti 12Gb, paired with a 5800x3d and an ultrawide monitor running 3440x1440. I managed to get the game feeling almost perfect outside of the major NPC hubs, but I think the key setting was changing the default of Borderless Windowed mode to Exclusive Full Screen mode and Locking the Framerate. For anyone having issues with performance and running a similar setup try these settings: Exclusive Full Screen mode (huge impact on stable framerate) Medium graphics preset Textures on High (maybe medium for 8Gb cards) Shadows on High DLSS Quality mode Vsync/Gsync every other sync OFF FPS Capped to 60 (huge impact on stable framerate) Nvidia Reflex Low Latency ON (huge impact on reducing input lag) Mouse look speed 30% (tune to your preference) Mouse aiming 15% (tune to your preference) Clear your Nvidia Shader Cache Folder and set the Cache size to 100 GB in the Nvidia Control panel
@iROHxo I tried disabling the mouse smoothing a few days ago but I didn't like it. My FPS is a smooth solid 60 in open world with little to almost no stuttering or frame drops. When I uncap the fps it stutters but if the cpu isn't strong enough to hit 60 and maintain it then the fps cap probably won't do any good
they have the audacity to still demonstrate their engine like it work perfectly even on consoles, recently they did some wild demonstration with raytraced object shadows on ps5...
no matter what I think game is amazing and I will be keep playing it I DONT CARE! but thanks for guide keep it up, also I will try that "mouse smoothing script".
Appreciate you pointing this video of yours out to me on the other channel. Will try some of these settings and will paste the script snippet in to see what I get from my game. Thanx and subbed!
the reason the lighting is better on epic settings is because of one setting cloud quality you should set it to epic and the ground lighting will be darker and correct with no performance impact
Thank you, this helped me get quite a bit of improvement (3070 TI, 12 core earlier version Threadripper). 45-75 FPS Zalissya crossroads, about 45% CPU, earlier I had like 10-40 FPS. I think FSR and Shading/Illumination made the difference for me. Also removing motion blur helped with the headache...
I got so tired of stutters and bad input latency that I deleted the game . I have 4070 with an i7 13th gen and Samsung ssd pro 990 gen 4 . 16gb ddr5 ram. My monitor is 2560×1600 165hz . I played the game on every graphics settings and resolution but I still had stutter and input latency . It was so annoying and it didn't matter if I was in the village or in middle of the desert or fighting enemies. And the thing is I launched the game one time and it was working smoothly but then it started going crazy . It's so annoying that this beautiful game is have this kind of optimization problems . If the devs put time on it and try to fix it I'm sure it would be one of the best games ever
@cheNzc-o4q stutter usually happens when you don't have enough ram or Vram, basically game is requiring your PC to process things but your pc has no ram and traffic is causing stutter.
@cheNzc-o4q you didnt mentioned 32 of what in previous comment, I though fps. that is strange than... are you sure you have stuttering or you have just inconsistent framerate?
Playing on Asus ROG Scar Strix 16 (RTX 4080 + core i913980HX) Getting 60+ fps in all locations (Textures on Epic, all on High, 2K resolution + dlss quality). GPU utilization is about 55 to 65%, CPU ~25-35% (4100mHz locked). But in a cutscenes fps drops to 45-60 fps (CPU utilization about 50-60% and GPU 80-99%.)
I have a same CPU utilization as you can seem, seem weird for a game that is CPU limited. Once they fix A-Life 2.0 and upgrade to newer version of UE5 than it will be easier to run.
@@yevheniibatiievskyi yeah pretty much, but if they will upgrade to UE 5.7 that will be much bigger improvement. Nanite and Lumin got a lot of improvements since 5.1.
Hey I don't mean to self-promo but my mod titled "Stutter Fix Performance Boost - Essentials Mod" has decent FPS gains and smoother 1% lows than any of the other performance mods on the website. I really recommend checking it out. Thank you for your video though!
Iam suprised that bothmy laptops can run the game just fine at 1440p Epic 60FPS Lock. First one has a mobile 3080ti with 16GB VRAM. But the second one only has a mobile 4070 with 8GB VRAM. I thought it would struggle or be unplayable but does fine so far. However there have been some patches and mods to the engine.ini file that surely help :)
I found out that they are using UE 5.1 which is most taxing on CPU current UE verions is 5.7 so if they gonna upgrade at least some features game will run much better.
I beat the pre 1.0.1 game . Tomorrow I will try to beat game with patch 1.0.1. i was geting 35-50 fps on a 4060 8vram laptop. Make sure to use optimisation mod. P.s i was playing 2880x1620 Medium DLSS Quality frame gen OFF
@@VACcine710 I did that off-screen too but problem is that even on lowest settings even when game looks worse than ps2 game it still heavy, UE5 is very unoptimized.

I have a similar system except 16gb ram, you definitely need to have 32gb, Stutter probably caused because of that as well.

@cheNzc-o4q well that's unoptimized UE5, everyone has that issue more or less.

@iROHxo if they made this game on UE4 we had 120fps+ easily with a 90% of visuals of UE5

CoolVid! Awesome Game!👍👍
S.T.U.T.T.E.R. 2 - Lag of Chernobyl
how can you show/ read you input (ms) ? thx.
do you have nvidia or amd card? both of them have their own performance overlay apps that can show most stats of your pc.
Playing with 100% motion blur is savage....the game already had baked in TAA. There is enough blur when you move.
I had it on default settings to begin testing but playing this game on 100% MB is underwater running simulator.
Motion Blur and Depth of Field setting is only for cutscenes.

It’s broken? No problem, just fix A-Life 2.0 please. This is S.T.A.L.K.E.R.! 😊

right, I just dropped new vid check it out.
Basically game is made for epic settings at default? LMAO
yep basically.
Yeah, all modern games are. As soon as you lower the settings it looks worse than games from 2000 yet still run 20x worse.
Game runs better on low. These fools need to quit the game and let it redo shaders. You shouldn't have to do this but that's what you have to do.
@@VACcine710 I did that off-screen too but problem is that even on lowest settings even when game looks worse than ps2 game it still heavy, UE5 is very unoptimized.
@iROHxo that's because it requires you to use a shity AA like TAA, FSR, or DLAA....back when MSAA was popular image quality was 💪
Don't give me hope...😔
왜 요즘 게임회사들이 고의로 인풋렉을 활성화 시키는지 이해가 안된다 인풋렉을 좋아하는 사람이 있긴 한가?
Lol rtx 2080 super i7 8700 30fps on low 1080p great 👍
you can thank Riot games and Unreal engine 5 for that.
