You make the best most clear videos I have ever seen. I don't really like to watch crochet videos for numerous reasons but I ran across you make a few years ago with tips on joining a long chain. It was so perfect, clear and understandable without the extra chit chat some creators put in their videos. Thank you. I will be recommending your videos for beginners from now on.
Seems to me that it makes the HDC a bit taller. So you wouldn't have to stitch as many rows to get the height you need for an item. Much like using DC but less gaps/holes as the HDC fills them in. LOL Does that make sense? 🤔

Oh….. I can see this would be a bit “fatter” than just the regular dc??? Like it would fill in the spaces more?

Yep, you are both right, AND it still has that prominent third loop from the yarn over like an hdc does.
I like the texture. I want to make a blanket that has different stitches do you have patters?
