It’s hard to take anyone seriously who calls it ‘ChatGTP’. It’s GPT. If someone isn’t detail-oriented enough to notice this simple error, what more complex things do they also not notice?
Some people aren't as good at speaking as others and that's a common mistake people make, it's mechanically easier to say GTP than GPT. Judging people off of something like this isn't very useful. I knew a brilliant engineer whose papers I had to check, because he would write things like "witch" instead of "which"... doesn't detract from the value that he brings.
Consciousness emerged from inanimate material. Understanding how this happened would go a long way to understanding Chat GPT. However even working out how consciousness emerged is a very difficult problem.
There are too many stuttering, bumbling guests on this podcast. If you're going to have someone talk for over an hour, at least choose someone who speaks with clarity and composure. It's hard to take them seriously. Plus, giggling about the issues with the 737 Max issues is just inappropriate. Shameful, tbh.
When I go to a concert to hear beautiful music, I don't ruin it by noticing how some of the musicians don't fit my version of what they should look like, I simply enjoy the wonderful music. This guest has very interesting material that I really enjoyed; I don't care about his speaking style as long as I can understand what he's saying. I don't mean this as a criticism of your point of view, I thought it would help to give you another point of view.
Giggling constantly and then talking about some nebulous future regulation should worry logical people. You do not want a giggler regulating AI and "knowing" what is best for humanity. We don't need regulation especially from these types. Glad to see I was not the only one who noticed the 737 horribly awkward moment.
@@BitcoinMeister We're all on the Autistic spectrum and therefore we're all capable of falling into the logic trap. I'll leave it at that and hope that when you get to my age, you'll understand what I'm saying. Have a good day.
@@malcolmspark " We're all on the Autistic spectrum". That is false and is an excuse that modern day people make for being anti-social. Autism is a VERY serious condition. Some people are never able to not wear diapers! It saddens me that so many people try to downplay it in order to make their social awkwardness seem reasonable or to virtue signal.
Eventually we will be able to understand how Chat GPT works. Really? Humans have created something and we don't know how it works. Really. Terry is a scientific reductionist. Try Jeremy Griffith and his explanation of the Human Condition. Initially you may scoff at his theory, but as time passes and humans remain baffled by Chat GPT you may find reason to reconsider why we remain ignorant of the way the brain creates consciousness. Have a nice day.
Invoking Elon for anything is a non starter. He's shown himself to be an enabler of criminals. Too many people defering to him as if he knows WTF he's talking about outside of his very narrow range

Guess and check seems to be a great strategy.
That was a great talk, thanks for sharing it!
Dragonflies are also awesome.
Thanks for both of your efforts! 😊

Criminals? You mean launching military payloads?
