There was a loki on our team that actually asked us to get the enemies low so he could ult them and take our kills. He just stood by and watched us until they were low. We were all under-leveled by the end of the game except for him. Typical loki trash lol.
that's what he does unfortunately. in my experience in arena. he just stood in our bottom left side near the fountain. when someone is low he just waited for us and assassinate us. it's annoying as fuck.

my odd favorite to counter loki is nox. her siphon darkness reveals loki as soo as he walks into it and silences him from using any other ability. if i hear him near me or a teammate, i place it on us so he wont go near us unless he is stupid because as soon as i see him i can shadow lock him in place.
+SandmanCam Serqet can do pretty much the same thing, the only difference is you see her coming. Both require the guardian to play smart. If Loki is going ham on the mages and hunters all the time, your tank needs to stop tower diving/building soul reaver/chipping away at the wave with basics and do his or her damn job. imo
You don't counter Loki. You live in fear of him driving both of his knives up your a-hole so high that he pierces the heavens. Unless you build defense. And health. Lots of defense and health.

Unfortunately in this video he didn't mention one of THE STRONGEST counters to loki... mystical mail. Mystical mail has an aoe magical damage aura that pulses every 1s. As loki is getting hit by mystical mail, small yellow number appear where he is being hit in stealth making it very easy to see which direction loki is going and being able to follow loki. hope this helps anybody else struggling with loki. I like this method because you can still play any god that you may be comfortable with. Along with wards, mystical mail shuts loki down... literally.
+skyler james While I agree, the problem with Mystical Mail is that it's an overall weak item at the moment. The only ones who would pick it up are warriors, yet at the same time, they don't really need it as they are naturally strong against him. If a Loki keeps escaping from you with stealth, it's definitely a very good choice - and if MM ever gets a buff, it probably becomes the best choice.
Marcello Lucas more like the fact that most his countering tips boil down to your team needs to be one and make no mistakes against a single player whom can make many and still escape with little to no risk. Even then suicide trading still works. You will never stop the BS easy as ult kills. The fact that his ult is also a teleport is so stupid for a god that already has one of the most bloated escapes in the game.

Spooking you so hard you DC and uninstall the game, and then sell your account on eBay for £5 even tho you've spent more then that on gems and God pack.
One of the biggest problems of the game is the shit that hi-res balance the game only for conquest, leaving other modes untouched..... But itis really hard to keep all gods balanced in all modes to be honest... (Example: Nox the mage who shits everyone in casual modes but who is a situational pick in ranked league)

Hey dukeskoth I also wanted to add that CCR ruins loki very hard! his ult stuns for 1s but with ccr it can stun you for 0.7s (with reinforced boots). so how does this affect loki? you see the animation time for his 3 is about 0.6-0.7s which means if a loki who has a habbit of using his 3 after he ults you or maybe charging the 3 for the 2nd time after he has ulted you you are free from the stun and he cant Auto attack you as he suffers movement penalty! and you have to just walk in front and now you can turn on him beceause his vanish and ults are down!

Nicolás Azzolini Yea, Bellonas kit makes tower dives tempting, but it rarely works out no matter who youre diving on. I pwn stomp most lokis just by relying on the absorb stacks from her 1, then silencing him with my three when he decides to disengage. Once hes silenced, my 2 or 4 is almost always enough to finish. I still get caught off gaurd by well timed ganks or chases, but ive learned to minimize that with wards and map awareness.
One thing that Loki players can abuse is the teleport strategy. A Loki may bait out someone to teleport back to defend but have his own teleport out and then teleport into a teamfight so it's now 5v4 in Loki's favor
niche tip for catching loki in stealth. Use curse, since hes immune to slows while in stealth it will reveal the direction he is moving by telling you he is *IMMUNE*
DukeSloth Like I said its niche. But it can be very useful to stop a loki end game. A curse cooldown to put loki on a 60+ sec respawn can be very worth.
Diamond Loki main here, Things I get countered by: 1. Groups, when I play I try to pick off squishy/damaged players (80% of the time I kill) 2. Aegis, this works when I am playing dumb and give away when I'm about to ult 3. Awilix, or any other "player controlling" god. 4. Awareness, this is not hard. When you know where I am then I am not good at what I'm doing.

I honestly don't know why people make such a big deal of loki. I'm a Rank X and enjoy playing him.....but as soon as I see him on another team, it doesn't matter what god I'm playing I just pay attention to what the player is doing. And honestly most of the time, due to how squishy he is the player isn't really aggressive so it's ok (Except for when there's a highly skilled player behind the controller)
For real 75% of loki countering is about being aware of where he is, the other 25 is about how you act if he goes for you, but if you always know where he is and where he's probably going to go he's done. Also, how to counter loki, pick loki, no joke, I have 1. 6k worshippers and if I'm against another loki I know I'll do shit because I can either go for kills and do something so he's going to be waiting for me to attack to eat me or I can just play to counter him which will make me useless for the team

what about Skadi? You can ice field yourself, meaning he will slowly slide around while you have increased movement, Kaldr can poke at him for free and if he is low and tries to run, ult from Kaldr next to him will freeze him in place and if your memory servers well, you can finish him.
Axel_KG5 if we take relics in, I can Sanctuary/Aegis and Kaldr can still attack, only option would be focus kaldr and I could use that time to move to better position.

Nice vids and tips man,i think that loki is pretty ridiculous thpugh and something should have been done about him ages ago. Requiring counterplay,good team play,map awarness and overall changing playstlye just for that 1 character,is somethin thats just too much for most players at least in the more casual play. For Gods sake in the Arena i seen him sometimes enter the BASE and killing people after they made it back and thought they were safe.. The "hearing him" is like saying you have to be blind and have to use your ears to fight ! it might work in movies and could give some hints and a lucky shot at him,but way to difficult to do in the middle of battle,i tried but cant do it with all those combat sounds around and using lower/average sound devices like most pc's do. The relics got nerfed a lot and since there is no upgraded version of them now,so they help for around 2 sec and then you are dead if u are anywhere away from your tower.
question. what is your total knowledge of smite? Cuz kumba does not have a stun.... he has a slow a mez and a root in his basic abilities.... just saying
Niko Liabotis I think he was either referring to hard CCs as a whole or his ult banish. While Kumbha doesn't have a stun, his large amount of hard CC counters Loki really well.
Artemis traps also counter him just pop one under your feet and listen from which side he is coming from at the very least while going around the trap the stealth will time out. AMC also has bees which reveal loki in stealth
am i the only Loki main here who does not spkit push? i usually use athena wombo combo athena starts teleporting to me and i ult on their adc and athena comes down and u can pretty much destroy enemy team 2v5

there is one other meemey way to destroy a loki. if u have played the game for years you get certain perks that normal people wouldnt have. Such as that feeling at the back of ur neck when a thor is ulting. or another good example is when xbal ults u u somehow know where everyone is and what there gonna try to do. With loki, its loki sense. When he goes invis or does something and from that second that u hear him u peer into his mind and have the ability to know just what hes doing. or when he goes invis u know where hes going to escape or to attack. This is true for all games in general, but i only have it for smite, Granted Koreans get this thing called "Star Sense" where basically they know where everything is 24/7 and this works in every game they play. I'm just a white guy that has this sense for smite but yeah. btw in order to get this sense ya gotta play the game for up to 4 years :D
The defensive items he suggested to counter loki aren't going to work because loki is almost always built with a lot of penetration. I believe the way to counter loki is to just listen to his abilities and punish him for it and to also place wards.
Also never run backwards from Loki as his passive make him do more damage if he attacks an enemy God from behind and if it's a good Loki and he uses invisibility and his damage proc he can do extra damage hit up to a 1k crit and a bleed proc as well so your basically skewed

I feel like everyone needs to see this. Every time there is a Loki I´m more vary of him, especially when he vanishes. I always keep an eye out for a mate he is gonna jump and try to help that one. Unfortunately, I can´t say the same of my team mates, who usually are busy hitting some minions in the face.
Any sufficiently protected character with hard CC throws Loki in a corner and beats him into a puddle. That's why Loki goes after squishies. No offense, that's really the priority of the video-- tanks need to have eyes on Loki and know where he is or could be. Mages and hunters also need to be aware and retreat/report when necessary
Loki's cloak only lasts for a limited time. Easiest way to avoid him is run the other direction when he cloaks. Usually I see the Loki player switch to a closer target, then I can kill him while he's trying to kill my team mate.
Good video Duke. Most Loki players are pretty average and don't play optimally, despite it being pretty easy. A good Loki will split the map as far as possible as to force people to be alone. A good way to counterplay this while still having a stronger teamfight is to slow push the two side lanes (killing only the range minions on a wave) and then grouping in mid or for an objective. This will buy your team time to fight while Loki must decide to waste time waiting for minions or try to teamfight.
I will admit I am a Loki main and the one way I get around Loki's awful early game is to go ADC Loki and ask for my support to basically pick a guardian with god clear and only drop one point into my decoy. Use it to gather up the minions so my support can then hit all the minions at once give me the damage I need for potential kills on the enemy ADC. Works well if you got a decent support to back you up. But I just wanted to thank Duke for making this video, it has helped me further my Loki skills.
You should continue this and do a know your enermy style from hirez the amount of detail you went into was a lot more, but I would love to see more of a similar style thanks

Battleborn has 2 fucking lokis: Deande in addition with Shayne and Aurox. Deande is more of a loki though. Still a pain in the ass no matter what game you playing.
Lol very nice video, im a diamond loki, thx for the tips helping me realize what counters i need to watch out for, You forgot about bachus, his burp can dmg and stun loki when in stealth if he sees the general direction of the loki, plus loki's try to go away from the burp so its a good defensive tool

Raijin's mark reveals Loki too. And I find Kumbhakarna to be a pretty good counter. His AOE mez usually can stop an incoming/escaping Loki because of the range on it.
Important notice: in the early game Freya is only able to Banish 1 Loki Decoy for every 2 Decoys placed (cool down issue). It tends to get worse as loki will build CD and some Freyas won't.
+Jack John While that is true, there's a way to avoid it: At rank 3 banish, you can reliably banish the decoy before it detonates (as it takes 3 secs to detonate). Rank 2 works as well with blue buff, but the timeframe is extremely short. You'll be fine putting those points into banish as Freya then outclears Loki extremely hard. CDR issue can be avoided by getting Breastplate of Valor + Pythagorem's Piece (both good for a Freya laning against Loki), in combination with the blue buff, this gets you to CDR cap. This is only if you want to full on counter Loki though, takes away from your hypercarry potential.
Another decent counter against Loki: Ah Muzen Cab. His bees will reveal Loki in stealth, meaning that he can't get close to anything afflicted. Also, if you suspect he's near by, you drop a honey trail that he has to cross or ult over to get to you. This is less useful for a solo AMC, but it's good when paired with someone else who can intimidate him.
+QC_J as someone who plays loki at what i consider a good level only what you said in the second part of this is true yes your bees help against my invis but your too easily bursted without an escape if you have someone near you who intimidates me ill just invis and get lost but that's the same for any god 1vs2 loki is seldom going to win that win that it can be done but a good loki won't attack someone whos near a tank with CC or a warrior etc as for your point about the honey first of all you need a hive up which is likely you will have but if i take that out then invis and you surround your self in honey you then need to use your swarm to activate it or your hive which is just wasting mana and it wont even reveal me because i wont be anywhere near it. ill bait it and get it on cooldown you'll be lower on mana my invis is back up soon as i build CDR and you don't and from there its not to hard to take out an amc as loki i can use my decoy to block autos 1,3 combo you then basic you to finish if needed. if you charge your ult which isn't instant i just ult you which will kill you unless you build tanky (obviously unlikely) while the bees and honey trick does work against a loki who knows what there doing it isn't very effective. i dont know if honey does this i dont see amc much but if someone steps in honey and it makes there footsteps show on the ground A that would be awssome and B it would make amc a much better god against loki. i still don't think it would be enough to save him 1 on 1 but it would be cool
id like to ad cabrakan to the list of counters. his absolute tankines over all, even if u build mage is insane for loki to deal with. especially if u get poly and soul reaver that basically makes cabra a 1 shot kill god with 3500 hp :O... going cabra against loki is one of the best matchups cuz loki stands no chance of killing him early witch gives cabra a free early game to farm and get his build up and running faster and when that happens cabra basically becomes a hulked out loki :P whats better a loki who can dmg 1 god and then run away or a loki who can take out half the team and cant be killed? :D

he can counter sanctuary if played correctly at the moment he sees that he uses his one and back off especially against a hunter if he doesnt have ult of course . if he does he wait for his opponent to back off and chase him down and kill him with his ult

Anyone with any sort of dash or jump counters Loki as it is very easy to bait his ultimate and bait his 1. Personally as a rank 10 Loki I think one of his best counters by far is Athena and she can force him to face her to save her teammates and the fact that she can help another teammate stop his spilt push with her ult. Plus Loki doesn't like tanks
as someone who has loki at level 10 this video is great. it makes a lot of good points for what to think about against him and things to think about as loki.

As a diamond Loki I totally agree with all this and will also like to add that in solo lane, as a Loki, it's EXTREMELY hard to lane against Guan Yu, who heals the wave after your decoy hits, Hades, who silences you out of your stealth, and Freya who just uses 3 on your decoy and byebye ckear. Keep that in mind if you know you're going against Loki in lane.
It is funny because they call Loki players "dumb" but in reality, a good Loki knows how to use the decoy in 18 ways and the auto cancel is hard to master if you wanna do it right with your 4 abilities. Loki can be annoying xd but I like playing and messing people's mind :p
Loki players are dumb since you leave your team at a huge disadvtage in team fights and usually cost them the game just because you think you're pro by taking down a tower. except then you lose the teamfight, you're not going to attack a titan on your own. Ran into like 5 lokis today and they all did the same thing. cost their teams the game.

Yeah his invisible, stun, aoe and silence, I think he has a silence, I've never played him, but those combinations are insanely op in some situations like you stated, me and my buddy who's rank 129 and in plat ranked feel the same way.. but it is what it is
Hades destroys Loki. You fully heal your minions from his decoy damage with your Devour Souls while clearing the lane at the same time, and you can silence him out of his invisibility. Plus, he can only escape your ult by using beads or using his own ult to get out. Hades is, by far, the most effective counter to Loki.
Unless you're in a 1v1, if you're building lifesteal on Loki, you're doing something wrong. And Hades won't allow him to finish that item (or any of them xD) anytime soon.

I was playing earlier and Loki was going for my Skadi (Team Ice ftw) and every time he came into lane and tried to attack her I just froze him with Ymir's frost breath. it was easy kills from there

Her ult is a stun with a true damage DOT, is what I meant, they're very similar. Serq has to build crit, I didn't think of that.

Unfortunately in this video he didn't mention one of THE STRONGEST counters to loki... mystical mail. Mystical mail has an aoe magical damage aura that pulses every 1s. As loki is getting hit by mystical mail, small yellow number appear where he is being hit in stealth making it very easy to see which direction loki is going and being able to follow loki. hope this helps anybody else struggling with loki. I like this method because you can still play any god that you may be comfortable with. Along with wards, mystical mail shuts loki down... literally.
+skyler james While I agree, the problem with Mystical Mail is that it's an overall weak item at the moment. The only ones who would pick it up are warriors, yet at the same time, they don't really need it as they are naturally strong against him. If a Loki keeps escaping from you with stealth, it's definitely a very good choice - and if MM ever gets a buff, it probably becomes the best choice.

Marcello Lucas more like the fact that most his countering tips boil down to your team needs to be one and make no mistakes against a single player whom can make many and still escape with little to no risk. Even then suicide trading still works. You will never stop the BS easy as ult kills. The fact that his ult is also a teleport is so stupid for a god that already has one of the most bloated escapes in the game.

Hey dukeskoth I also wanted to add that CCR ruins loki very hard! his ult stuns for 1s but with ccr it can stun you for 0.7s (with reinforced boots).

you see the animation time for his 3 is about 0.6-0.7s which means if a loki who has a habbit of using his 3 after he ults you or maybe charging the 3 for the 2nd time after he has ulted you you are free from the stun and he cant Auto attack you as he suffers movement penalty! and you have to just walk in front and now you can turn on him beceause his vanish and ults are down!

Yea, Bellonas kit makes tower dives tempting, but it rarely works out no matter who youre diving on. I pwn stomp most lokis just by relying on the absorb stacks from her 1, then silencing him with my three when he decides to disengage. Once hes silenced, my 2 or 4 is almost always enough to finish.
I still get caught off gaurd by well timed ganks or chases, but ive learned to minimize that with wards and map awareness.

One thing that Loki players can abuse is the teleport strategy. A Loki may bait out someone to teleport back to defend but have his own teleport out and then teleport into a teamfight so it's now 5v4 in Loki's favor

Things I get countered by:
1. Groups, when I play I try to pick off squishy/damaged players (80% of the time I kill)
2. Aegis, this works when I am playing dumb and give away when I'm about to ult
3. Awilix, or any other "player controlling" god.
4. Awareness, this is not hard. When you know where I am then I am not good at what I'm doing.

I'm a Rank X and enjoy playing him.....but as soon as I see him on another team, it doesn't matter what god I'm playing I just pay attention to what the player is doing. And honestly most of the time, due to how squishy he is the player isn't really aggressive so it's ok

For real 75% of loki countering is about being aware of where he is, the other 25 is about how you act if he goes for you, but if you always know where he is and where he's probably going to go he's done. what about Skadi? You can ice field yourself, meaning he will slowly slide around while you have increased movement, Kaldr can poke at him for free and if he is low and tries to run, ult from Kaldr next to him will freeze him in place and if your memory servers well, you can finish him.

Nice vids and tips man,i think that loki is pretty ridiculous thpugh and something should have been done about him ages ago. Requiring counterplay,good team play,map awarness and overall changing playstlye just for that 1 character,is somethin thats just too much for most players at least in the more casual play.
For Gods sake in the Arena i seen him sometimes enter the BASE and killing people after they made it back and thought they were safe..
The "hearing him" is like saying you have to be blind and have to use your ears to fight ! it might work in movies and could give some hints and a lucky shot at him,but way to difficult to do in the middle of battle,i tried but cant do it with all those combat sounds around and using lower/average sound devices like most pc's do.
The relics got nerfed a lot and since there is no upgraded version of them now,so they help for around 2 sec and then you are dead if u are anywhere away from your tower.

there is one other meemey way to destroy a loki. if u have played the game for years you get certain perks that normal people wouldnt have. Such as that feeling at the back of ur neck when a thor is ulting. or another good example is when xbal ults u u somehow know where everyone is and what there gonna try to do. With loki, its loki sense. When he goes invis or does something and from that second that u hear him u peer into his mind and have the ability to know just what hes doing. or when he goes invis u know where hes going to escape or to attack. This is true for all games in general, but i only have it for smite, Granted Koreans get this thing called "Star Sense" where basically they know where everything is 24/7 and this works in every game they play. I'm just a white guy that has this sense for smite but yeah. btw in order to get this sense ya gotta play the game for up to 4 years :D

The defensive items he suggested to counter loki aren't going to work because loki is almost always built with a lot of penetration. I believe the way to counter loki is to just listen to his abilities and punish him for it and to also place wards.

Any sufficiently protected character with hard CC throws Loki in a corner and beats him into a puddle. That's why Loki goes after squishies. No offense, that's really the priority of the video-- tanks need to have eyes on Loki and know where he is or could be. Mages and hunters also need to be aware and retreat/report when necessary
Loki's cloak only lasts for a limited time. Easiest way to avoid him is run the other direction when he cloaks. Usually I see the Loki player switch to a closer target, then I can kill him while he's trying to kill my team mate.

Janus is pretty good against loki's burst. If you use youre 1 as janus on yourself if the loki is bad enough he could miss his ult!
Good video Duke. Most Loki players are pretty average and don't play optimally, despite it being pretty easy. A good Loki will split the map as far as possible as to force people to be alone. A good way to counterplay this while still having a stronger teamfight is to slow push the two side lanes (killing only the range minions on a wave) and then grouping in mid or for an objective. This will buy your team time to fight while Loki must decide to waste time waiting for minions or try to teamfight.

I will admit I am a Loki main and the one way I get around Loki's awful early game is to go ADC Loki and ask for my support to basically pick a guardian with god clear and only drop one point into my decoy. Use it to gather up the minions so my support can then hit all the minions at once give me the damage I need for potential kills on the enemy ADC. Works well if you got a decent support to back you up.
But I just wanted to thank Duke for making this video, it has helped me further my Loki skills.

Raijin's mark reveals Loki too. And I find Kumbhakarna to be a pretty good counter. His AOE mez usually can stop an incoming/escaping Loki because of the range on it.

Important notice: in the early game Freya is only able to Banish 1 Loki Decoy for every 2 Decoys placed (cool down issue). It tends to get worse as loki will build CD and some Freyas won't.
+Jack John While that is true, there's a way to avoid it: At rank 3 banish, you can reliably banish the decoy before it detonates (as it takes 3 secs to detonate). Rank 2 works as well with blue buff, but the timeframe is extremely short. You'll be fine putting those points into banish as Freya then outclears Loki extremely hard. CDR issue can be avoided by getting Breastplate of Valor + Pythagorem's Piece (both good for a Freya laning against Loki), in combination with the blue buff, this gets you to CDR cap.
This is only if you want to full on counter Loki though, takes away from your hypercarry potential.

Another decent counter against Loki: Ah Muzen Cab. His bees will reveal Loki in stealth, meaning that he can't get close to anything afflicted. Also, if you suspect he's near by, you drop a honey trail that he has to cross or ult over to get to you. This is less useful for a solo AMC, but it's good when paired with someone else who can intimidate him.
+QC_J as someone who plays loki at what i consider a good level only what you said in the second part of this is true yes your bees help against my invis but your too easily bursted without an escape if you have someone near you who intimidates me ill just invis and get lost but that's the same for any god 1vs2 loki is seldom going to win that win that it can be done but a good loki won't attack someone whos near a tank with CC or a warrior etc as for your point about the honey first of all you need a hive up which is likely you will have but if i take that out then invis and you surround your self in honey you then need to use your swarm to activate it or your hive which is just wasting mana and it wont even reveal me because i wont be anywhere near it. ill bait it and get it on cooldown you'll be lower on mana my invis is back up soon as i build CDR and you don't and from there its not to hard to take out an amc as loki i can use my decoy to block autos 1,3 combo you then basic you to finish if needed. if you charge your ult which isn't instant i just ult you which will kill you unless you build tanky (obviously unlikely) while the bees and honey trick does work against a loki who knows what there doing it isn't very effective. i dont know if honey does this i dont see amc much but if someone steps in honey and it makes there footsteps show on the ground A that would be awssome and B it would make amc a much better god against loki. i still don't think it would be enough to save him 1 on 1 but it would be cool
id like to ad cabrakan to the list of counters. his absolute tankines over all, even if u build mage is insane for loki to deal with. especially if u get poly and soul reaver that basically makes cabra a 1 shot kill god with 3500 hp :O... going cabra against loki is one of the best matchups cuz loki stands no chance of killing him early witch gives cabra a free early game to farm and get his build up and running faster and when that happens cabra basically becomes a hulked out loki :P whats better a loki who can dmg 1 god and then run away or a loki who can take out half the team and cant be killed? :D

he can counter sanctuary if played correctly at the moment he sees that he uses his one and back off especially against a hunter if he doesnt have ult of course . if he does he wait for his opponent to back off and chase him down and kill him with his ult

Loki's 1 is slow immune. If you build frost bound the Loki will likely get full CDR making frostbound useless

Anyone with any sort of dash or jump counters Loki as it is very easy to bait his ultimate and bait his 1. Personally as a rank 10 Loki I think one of his best counters by far is Athena and she can force him to face her to save her teammates and the fact that she can help another teammate stop his spilt push with her ult. Plus Loki doesn't like tanks

Step 3 : you have become an inspiration for loki control
actually the tornado is good on delaying loki, just make sure you some team mates around to help you fuck him up

My counter for Loki is Apollo. When he gets close to me I just stun him and shoot him down real quick 😜
+Carlos Mendoza Apollo is a counter to pretty much everything that doesn't have a wall these days (can you tell that I don't like Apollo? x) )

+Bart Van Donselaar He always dealt a lot of damage. The problem was that there was no place for him in the meta. Now he can invade so easily that there's always room.
As a diamond Loki I totally agree with all this and will also like to add that in solo lane, as a Loki, it's EXTREMELY hard to lane against Guan Yu, who heals the wave after your decoy hits, Hades, who silences you out of your stealth, and Freya who just uses 3 on your decoy and byebye ckear. Keep that in mind if you know you're going against Loki in lane.

It is funny because they call Loki players "dumb" but in reality, a good Loki knows how to use the decoy in 18 ways and the auto cancel is hard to master if you wanna do it right with your 4 abilities.
Loki can be annoying xd but I like playing and messing people's mind :p
Loki players are dumb since you leave your team at a huge disadvtage in team fights and usually cost them the game just because you think you're pro by taking down a tower. except then you lose the teamfight, you're not going to attack a titan on your own. Ran into like 5 lokis today and they all did the same thing. cost their teams the game.

Yeah his invisible, stun, aoe and silence, I think he has a silence, I've never played him, but those combinations are insanely op in some situations like you stated, me and my buddy who's rank 129 and in plat ranked feel the same way.. but it is what it is
Hades destroys Loki. You fully heal your minions from his decoy damage with your Devour Souls while clearing the lane at the same time, and you can silence him out of his invisibility. Plus, he can only escape your ult by using beads or using his own ult to get out. Hades is, by far, the most effective counter to Loki.
+Kain Lance heh unless loki has purification early builds lifesteal to stab you while in your ult. he does not counter loki hard osiris does
Unless you're in a 1v1, if you're building lifesteal on Loki, you're doing something wrong. And Hades won't allow him to finish that item (or any of them xD) anytime soon.

I mean on the solo lane: warriors, breastplate I could go on...
On the jungle: any other God that brings more utility and the same or more damage, hun batz, serq, rat, susanoo then again I could keep going...
I've only lost solo lane once using a Loki to a bellona but that's cause she's a hard Loki counter and over all a little too strong

I was playing earlier and Loki was going for my Skadi (Team Ice ftw) and every time he came into lane and tried to attack her I just froze him with Ymir's frost breath. it was easy kills from there
