The stickers segment had me LOL 😆 Very unique looking cymbals. I would opt for a pack with a 22" ride in any case, the 20" seemed to lack volume. Especially the trashes, splashes and Chinas sounded really good.
They all sound great but my favorites were the splashes, the effects cymbals and those 16" hi hats. Really nice that they offer so many options for 16" hats.
Love the 2 person moshpit in the intro lol. These are probably my favorite cymbals at this price range, they sound so good for b10. I think they are perfect and can range quite a few different musical applications
That 10 inch Dark Splash is one of the sweetest sounding splashes I've ever heard. If I'm ever able to get another drum set, I would really look into getting one of those. Very surprised.
Please don't. I want wild drunk crazy youths beating the $#!+ out of each other in my pits! You guys are cool and all that, #dadmosh can stay on the back burner for now. Until I hit that age. Which is soon. Oh that's right, one step closer to 40 in a month.... Yeah #dadmosh rules!!!!
As a Meinl guy I really enjoyed this video so much, please PLEASE PLEASE do a video on all of the line of cymbals this amazing company has to offer just like how you guys did with the Piste Cymbals!
I bought the Ultimate pack a little over 2 years ago and now I want to expand it. I LOVE the VERSATILITY they are warm very musical and they cut through the mix with having to overplay. The 16” hats are awesome and the 22” crash-ride, SMH. My small gig setup is: 16” hats, 20” crash topped with inverted 12” trash splash and the 22” crash-ride. My first add-ons will be the Ching Ring and Cymbal Bacon, start with a little seasoning. I likely adding most of the rest of the line aside from the 16” crashes/trash crashes 20” ride… for me these days big cymbals are more appealing. I have gigged them thus far through Blues, Funk, RnB, Pop, Rock, Jazz and a couple a few Rockabilly, and Country tunes and they have delivered.
I had a set of these for a while and really liked the hi hats, but the ride seemed to be lacking something, especially the bell. The crashes sounded pretty decent, but on recording with music they seemed to get lost a bit. I ended up selling the whole pack.
That's a lot of decent cymbals for the price. I'd still aim for quality over quantity (Ride, hats, and a couple of crashes). For a sub-$1k price point, maybe some PST7. A little more puts you in K Dark Custom pricing. The effects cymbals are a big bonus, but you'll need a lot more stands lol
Another great demo-those are some angry platters! Seems like they might overpower other instruments without a really good mix but there is something kinda cool and “Goth” about them.👍
It seems like no matter the brand or the type, I just don’t like 16” crash cymbals. I’ve found very few, if any, that I really look forward to hitting. The quest continues.
Depends on the weight and sound your looking for but a beautiful sounding 16" cymbal try listening to a zildjian A 16" thin traditional finish.Ive owned a few over the years and they are a beautiful sounding cymbal that work in a club or bar situation. I've used them in light rock, and in blues bands and they always shined.Give one a listen ,hope this helps you.
@pietrogirgenti367 if you're able to try one out in person I would definitely do it. All the demo vids of the CC Dark china sound great but in person (to me) it doesn't sound good to me.
I have never understood the appeal of these. They’re marginally better sounding than the Paiste 900 range, which sound like Swiss manhole covers. I really think the hype surrounding them was purely due to the fact they had black coloring, and that gets the metalheads going or something.
Yeah.... These cymbals suffer from looking way better than they sound. I considered them but I'm really glad I got all K sweets instead, even though they aren't really comparable lines. Kinda hate how meinl is the trendy cymbal these days.
Maybe I'm in the minority here, but these crashes do not sounds good to me at all. Everything else in the line is great but I'm not a fan of the crashes.
The intros just keep getting better!
😉
aaargh no gigs for 1 year now :-/
I love it when people have fun on their videos! It really gets the emotion through!
It is fun!
Had these for awhile, great cymbals! Just sold them and got 2002's, huge upgrade.

That is by far the best type of cymbals i have heard and seen ; so much diversity ; a unique color of cymbals
They all sound great but my favorites were the splashes, the effects cymbals and those 16" hi hats. Really nice that they offer so many options for 16" hats.

Shane is on fire today, especially between 11:47 and 11:51 :) Well done Gents!
That 14" Floor tom sounds amazing!!!
You got that right!
Came for the cymbals,my god what a beautiful set of Canopus.Wow.!
This was a great demo! The Dark Trash cymbals sound killer, and look amazing too!
Actually, that 12" Trash Splash... Dang that sounded cool
That 10 inch Dark Splash is one of the sweetest sounding splashes I've ever heard. If I'm ever able to get another drum set, I would really look into getting one of those. Very surprised.
I love everything but the china, which is very use dependant
#dadmosh needs to trend.
Yes it does, let's make it happen!

@@Ashlord Duuuude yes I saw a few days ago! 🙌🏻
@@Yellowcard7572 I was super stoked when I saw the notification pop up!

I really like that 18" china.sounds great.I can't believe the prices,great deal.
What in the World did I just watch, the freaking mosh 🤣
Great job 👌🏻
Okay you guys got cymbal videos figured out. Almost like watching TV, love the "commercial breaks"
Canopus always great.
The 16,18 dark crashes are nice.
All the fx pieces as well.
HI guys, I'm Marco from Chile, I love to watch your videos, great work! best regards.
Salud, Marco! ¡Gracias por ver!
Nice playing! I bought a used 18" crash from this line and it really blends well with the rest of my setup!
Nice drumming! I bought a used 18" crash from this line and it really blends well with the rest of my setup.
Awesome! Meinyls are definitely what I will be going with once I decide on my kit!
My favorite set of cymbals. The musicality is incredible.
I just bought a full Sonor kit from these guys. Sorry to brag. And I play PAiSTe. But these aren’t bad at all. Go DCP!
INTRO was GREAT! Thanks Guys!
Thank you!
Just ordered them a few days ago from your store! Looking forward to representing these cymbals in Australia! 😁🍻
Awesome! Thank you for the support!
F YEA!!!!! Love the opening!!!! Oh. there's more after......?
i may have to buy this set of drums...... i cant stop playing this over and over.
Did you get them?
Once I've got my dream cymbal setup, I'm getting a full set of Classic Dark 🔥🔥🔥 I hope Meinl make a 14" crash soon
Great playing, great cymbals!
Thanks a lot!
i just got a couple 18" and 19" crashes of this line, and they sound great for almost all music, i use them in my church band and my hardcore band!
Surprisingly, I really like the sound of the 22" crash/ride.
One can tell that you guys make a great team

That snare might be a 10/10
It's pretty good isn't it?!
@@drumcenternh Can I buy one?

Have you seen my Ted Talk on German cymbal marketing?

Love these cymbals bought a few months ago
just the packs ma'am, just the packs. love the supreme
Was that moshing in the background??? Lol you guys are having way too much fun, instant sub.
YES! Welcome aboard!
I had a set of these for a while and really liked the hi hats, but the ride seemed to be lacking something, especially the bell. The crashes sounded pretty decent, but on recording with music they seemed to get lost a bit. I ended up selling the whole pack.
Woah I love your videos so much xD
These are great sounding cymbals, pretty sweet and all...
I mean
It's Meinl, so not a surprise
But yeah
Thank you very much!
I'm not metal enough for those stickers, but another well done video!!!
Yes you are Rusty! 😂
Wow they sound different! Luv it.

i love meinl but buyer discretion, my 18 crash cracked at the bell about 4 months into owning them. take it i do hit hard
I think the trash crash sounds amazing 🤩 never checked out meinl line before I shall check them out
What snare was used? Sounds freaking awesome.
The new ZiKit/British snare drum, we will be do a full video on this very soon!

I have a drum set than needs new cymbals like craaaazy I might get these
They are such great value!!
@@drumcenternh where do I get these cymbals
Highly recommended for a cheaper starter set. The best of their price range for sure.
WOW! That lil bell has got some teeth! Cuts right thru!

They will, they're kinda for that imo. But who knows lol I like those loud splashes n accents
surprisingly warm sounding cymbals
Best intro ever! ha!
🤘Metal🤘
That Boy Can Play!
The trash crashes and stacks are the best in this series by far, but that crash ride isn't too shabby either.
Those sound good!
I like everything but the crashes, thry sound too thick to me but everything else sounds fantastic!
It seems like no matter the brand or the type, I just don’t like 16” crash cymbals. I’ve found very few, if any, that I really look forward to hitting. The quest continues.
Try Zildjian K Custom Special Dry 16”
I'm the same way. The ones I do like are all big $$$. I think the 17 and 20 in this series are pretty nice.

Killer snaredrum!!!
This video convinced me to change all of my 12 cymbals to the classic dark ones 😂
Wow this is the coolest thing I have ever seen huh uh huh huh uh huh
Thank you!🙏
@@drumcenternh where do I get these cymbals
Is there anything out there in the same price range that sounds equally good, but for a lower volume situation?
No link to the CCD-460+18?
Definitely need the STICKERS!!! hahahahaha. 🤣
Thumbs up for the mosh pit🤣
METAL
Do you think these would be bad for jazz?
I have a couple Custom Dark cymbals and the only one I really dont like is the 18" china. I still use it in my setup, it's just not what I expected.
Why didn't you like the china? I'm thinking about buying it... thanks!
@pietrogirgenti367 it sounds so dead and dull. It almost sounds like it's cracked, it's not, but it sounds like it is.
@@TylerCritti ok, thanks a lot! I'm buying a used paiste signature thin instead...

Im a Sabian man but i have to say some of these don't sound half bad. I think i may try a set.
when Shane drums people mosh
too bad they discontinued the 16 inch hi hats, it just wasn't a crowd pleaser like the mb10 16's were.
