      I made one for my iron farm, one for a bamboo farm to make planks, one for a sugar cane farm to make paper, one for a skeleton spawner to make bone blocks (the system with the sticky piston/observer/comparator but I put a second crafter in place of the block which transmits the signal to the auto crafter so that gives me two crafts at the same time) and soon for a gold farm, just the sorter(s) to collect an immeasurable number of nuggets for after all crafting will take me some time

      It would be neat for you to do a video where you design autocrafters for popular farm types. So far, I have a pretty good design for a wither Skelly farm, that is fairly compact. I have a decent design for guardian farm, but it is far from compact, and I found myself having to do some tricks to make it reliable. For example, the compactor design you showcase with the subtraction comparator can occasionally fail to click the autocrafter, which breaks it.

    After playing around with the Auto Crafter myself,
    1 - Dried Kelp blocks is my first answer. Fill like 2 large chests full of Kelp and melt them to get dried kelp blocks. Good as a fuel source if you want to specifically melt like 20 items instead of 100.
    2 - If you like Guardian farm and Prismarine. Then the 2 can be done with the Guardian Farm!.

      1 dried kelp, iron, honey bottles into honey blocks (sort them and put empty bottles back into bee farm automatically) gold nuggets from zombified pigglins (and swords [using kelp blocks]) into bars into blocks... 81 TIMES compression! 3+ _double chest_ per SINGLE stack! I have yet to fill a single hopper with gold blocks!

      If you do a lot of mining you can use coal blocks, they smelt 80 items per block, (which is 1 more coal than if you didn't craft it into a block) and although its not renewable its more space efficient, kelp on the other hand just has the ability of being mass produced at the cost of a small anount of lag

    • @jmoneyjoshkinion4576

      @@riolu477 (um achualy🤓) coal is a byproduct of wither skeleton skull farming, just like bones. But as I don't want a lot of skulls I have built a kelp farm next to my portal ticking gold farm for a reliable and convenient source of fuel.

      Coal block smelts 80
      1 stack of coal smelts 512 items
      1 stack of coal blocks smelts 5120
      In short, coal blocks are not only more compact but also more efficient than regular coal by 10%, if you have a farm hooked up to your furnaces it doesn't matter much but if you dont then coal blocks are simply the most space efficient fuel source right after lava buckets, and lava buckets have the having to be refilled manually problem
      Jmoney reminded me wither skeletons drop coal, so theoretically if you had a wither farm. You could put a compacter with an item filter so that coal gets turned into coal blocks. You could even do the same for bones, by turning them into bonemeal first you can turn 3 stacks of bones into 1 stack of bone blocks. If you are willing to do anything for the sake of storage you'll find a lot of good uses for the crafter and shulker boxes

    I built a pretty useful bone to block circuit for my wither skelle farm. This can be made pretty simply because early "clicking" the crafter for the bone block doesn't cause any harmful effects.
    Similarly, early clicking a coal blocker has no harmful side effects, so the circuit can be simpler than the compactor you designed.

    Autocrafters permanently automizer so many farms that were previously unable to be truly atomized because we didnt have TNT Dupers!
    lets say we want to make a truly atomized Cobblestone and Wood farm. we first make both of those that go into a TNT blast chamber, we have an autocrafter that feeds into it TNT. we have a creeper gunpowder farm, and a sand duplicator or just an UNGODLY AMOUNT OF SAND, creating a constant load of TNT for the blast chamber!
    i understand that there are probably many people who already figured this out, but i still think it's really cool that it can now be completely auto now :D
    also sorry for the many spelling errors, i rely on autocorrect way to much and my english is not good. it's my first language, but i still suck at it. :D
    Edit: fixed spelling errors and actually corrected it from paper to sand :D

      This has always been an issue, even in java. Sometimes it generates, sometimes it doesn't. It's the same with buried treasure. You'll find a map and follow it to the spot. Then you dig and dig only to come up empty handed. It happens. It's supposed to be there but sometimes it just isn't. I find it hard to believe that you found 5 of them in a row without it though. Sometimes they are so big that it might look like they are 2 separate fortresses but are really the same one. If that's truly the case then either keep looking or you might want to consider just starting a new world. Using the command /give @s netherwart is always an option as well.

    The compactor is awesome, the only downside is say if you're autocrafting iron blocks from an iron farm and the iron block chest fills up then the auto crafter will fill up full of ingots, so the crafter won't just start crafting again once you take some iron block out of the chest. You have to take the iron ingots out of the crafter to reset it.
    The two ingredient aoutcrafter doesn't work well on guardian farms either because you get prismarine crystals much slower than the shards. The autocrafters inventory will slowly drain over time, which breaks the recipe you set inside it.

    • @kevinchen7166
      @kevinchen7166 2 месяца назад

      You could solve some of these issues with comparators. For the iron farm one,set it up on the chest to detect how full it is or just add more chests. For the prismarine, set up a comparator on the crafter(or supply chests) to pause when it doesn’t have enough materials

    • @edwardallenthree
      @edwardallenthree 2 месяца назад

      The problem is that the blocking circuit, the one with the subtraction comparator, can sometimes send a click that gets missed by the crafter. This can happen because of crossing a chunk border or unloading the chunk at the wrong time. The simplest fix is to replace the redstone line with a piston and two observers facing each other. This way it will continuously click if somehow it overflows.

    Silent could you make tnt powered farms now that we have auto crafters and all blocks drop after exploding. Some ideas may be tree farms, cobble farm, basalt farm etc. The autocrafter could make the TNT so that the farm can be hooked to a mob or gunpowder farm.

    • @JasonHirata-he9mo

      I built the java one; for me the overflow detection was the issue. the raised blocks next to the activator rails need to be non-solid ( such as glass ), otherwise the powered redstone will power the rails effectively turning the whole system off.

      I haven’t been able to get the Java one to work at all either. I tried the suggestion but still I don’t see what is supposed to be making the crafter continuously craft. I’ve watched the video at least a dozen times, rebuilt it twice. Doesn’t make sense.

      I got it to work I think. I was using it to make sea lanterns (I.e. 2 ingredient recipe) and built it exactly like it’s shown with 3 hoppers. But I disabled one hopper but the problem came from having three torches down low still. I the way my farm is laid out I can’t just delete one side and use the middle hopper and the other side, I have to have my ingredients coming in from the sides. So I forgot to delete the extra red stone components.

    The crafter is great and all, but it's slow compared to if you just all craft. It is great though if you are afk'ing in another farm while turning your gold, iron, melons, kelp, etc into blocks. One thing that can make the auto crafter stable/100% fail proof is for mojang to make it lock in recipes to avoid unwanted crafts.

    They need to make it where u see translucent item's u can click through so that the spot doesnt fill up with random blocks. making the crafter actually craft what u want, then adding them to a item sorting storage unit for a full cycle of things getting crafted and sorted. All u have to do is just slap ur inven in 1 double chest.

    The block compactor crafter couldn't fit in my farm's item sorter, is there a more compact design that this one?

    • @edwardallenthree
      @edwardallenthree 2 месяца назад

      Not really. You can make it more compact for blocking coal and blocking bone meal because you don't need to check the crafter, nothing bad will happen if you click when it's not full.
      The key to the design is the subtraction comparator, which by definition can't fit in a one wide space, and is challenging in a two wide space.

    • @edwardallenthree
      @edwardallenthree 2 месяца назад

      I'm looking at a design I made a while ago to fit into a water stream classic sorting system. It isn't perfect. Horizontally, it is three wide, and fits between two sorters, for a total width of 5 horizontally for two items.
      It successfully crafts only gold blocks and iron blocks into their respective containers. It doesn't accidentally produce pressure plates, nuggets, or any other unwanted block.
      I ended up using a bell observer system to get only a single click out of the subtraction comparator, every time.
      As this was in my main sorting system of this experimental build, I always got a pleasant bell ring every time I got a gold block or iron block.

    There's nothing to pulse the crafter automatically. You have to flick on and off that switch on the bottom front. What am I missing? I built, tore down and rebuilt. I can't figure out what is supposed to be sending a pulse. I flip that switch and it makes sea lanterns one per flip cycle but isn't it just supposed to churn them out?

    • @leroyshaw8353
      @leroyshaw8353 27 дней назад

      Check that the crafter is empty before you start. I let a bunch of iron ingots flood into mine and then it didn't do anything. Once I emptied it out it started working perfectly to create iron blocks as the ingots started to trickle in. What pulses it is when the crafter fills up to craft the recipe it is "set" to. In my case, 9 slots need to be filled up to craft a block.

      If you were standing in a pile of iron ingots, it would be faster for you to block it manually. If you were going to a farm that produces iron, then by definition it would be faster for the farm to block it. This is because when you get to it it will already be blocked, and you have spent no time on it.
      There is one time where a crafter will almost always be faster, and that is crafting dispensers. Even if you're standing in a pile of sticks and string and cobblestone, or even a pile of cobblestone and bows, it will take far longer to turn that pile into dispensers then it would to loaded into a machine that turned it into dispensers.

    Java Universal design does not work if you build it exactly like shown in the video!
    Reason: The overflow detection lever powers the rails which in turn shuts off the entire machine
    Fix: simply replace the 2 blocks down right from the comparator (the ones he puts redstone on at 12:16) with a transparent solid block (block which cannot transfer redstone signals when powered) like glass, glowstone, etc.
