@@BrycePoff 20k doesn’t get you much of anything in the recreational industry anymore. I know what I can buy with $70+k, if I wanted something else I would’ve bought it. This is what I wanted, if that changes I’ll sell it and buy something else.
You can get something really light and about 3 or 4 times bigger for under 40 grand, I wonder why these really small ones are priced so high the camper caps for trucks are really high too for how small they are
You're right, you can buy lots of campers that are cheaper than a Lance. You can buy a Thor super c cheaper than a Renegade. It all goes back to you get what you pay for. Also are you comparing msrp to msrp, all dealers offer some discounts.
Looks like a cassette toilet, not a composting toilet. A lot of people like them. also, I watched another video and the prototype does have a fold down table bolted to the back of the spare tire. You definitely want to talk to the factory about getting you one. congratulations on the trailer.
Thank you Matthew, you would think they would. Jay, I’m glad you were there doing the paperwork with me when I signed the loan. Maybe you shouldn’t speak on subjects you’re not involved in.
That rear water dump will get snapped off on the first off road trip. They should have a heavy duty guard or have it tucked higher. Very expensive little thing. Cool though.
This is exciting! A screen for that back opening would be a must though. Also agree with another commenter that the dump pipe looks vulnerable. Looks like it would be easy enough to repair though. Congrats on your new trailer and can't wait to see your follow-ups from the field!
My maiden voyage trip was at the campground right down the road to familiarize myself with the unit so I didn’t do any videos this past week (people look at you like you’re nuts). I’m hoping to find some primitive camping places near me (still have to come to work to pay for this thing lol)
Hey Brad, like your new clean cut look. I think this is an awesome camper even though I'm more of a truck camper and van camper gal. Anyway enjoy your new adventure toy.
Thank you! This was kinda like a let’s see if I like this or the Truck Camper better. I like that it’ll go anywhere my truck will go like my TC, but I like the TC for the accessible interior kitchen and sink in bath. Both have some perks I like better then the other, but I’ve only done one trip in this so far. We will see what I go with next year lol
In my opinion…out of all the RUclips videos I have personally watched, Brad is about as good as they get. Unbelievably direct, honest and knowledgeable…oh yeah…unbelievably entertaining as well! Three things that are important in dealing with any qualified sales rep. With that said, and here’s where I am looking for that direct honesty, to me the elephant in the room is that rear hatch. Why do we have screens on our windows? Why do we have screens on our doors? That’s right! To keep the bugs out! That huge opening in the rear hatch is not only a highway for bugs, and a massive amount of bugs at that, to get into the unit but it’s also a highway to let heat in as well as heat out… especially when running that 12V air conditioner, which does not have a lot of horsepower to start with. Agreed? What was Lance thinking?
So I installed a shower rod/curtain, and it helped tremendously. Lastnight I saw one bug flying around, but I’ve yet to own a camper fully bugproof lol It would be nice if they’d go ahead and add it as a standard feature though
@@itsbrad It shouldn't be the consumer that has to find the solution for a design flaw. I'd think it'd be handy to have the stove be on a sliding shelf or raising/lowering mechanism like a kitchen mixer cabinet. That way if the weather's bad you can cook inside and not have to cook outside only.
My brother bought a 24’ toy hauler in 2015 for 27,000 OTD. A full family can camp in that thing for less then 1/2 of the trailer in this vid. It’s (featured trailer) a cool trailer, with some great off road features, but you can’t even cook inside it. My Bros trailer has 100 gallon H20 capacity and a family of four can boondock in it for a week.
Well it's different that's for sure 😊. Here in Utah we see these everywhere 😊. The kitchen/TV area would be great if it had a bug screen 😉. It would even be better if you could cook from inside 💠! I’d trade it in. It doesn’t have enough space or options. The others are pretty cool. I can’t afford anything like this but I’m watching and learning. Thanks!! Good luck!❤
Hey Brad, I'm an older dude from cali. I've always loved Lance products. Quality products and great resale value. I'm stoked for you. The new trailer is awesome. I just can't process the price of them. Good for you, though. As always another great video.
Thank you! The price is high, but I’m hoping the Lance resale value holds strong just like the last I’ve had. Cost more upfront, but not as much when you sell if that makes sense 😊 So far I’m over the moon for this one!
Nice video. I just bought a R-pod, not at all bushwhacker capable but happy with it. I appreciate the build quality of this Lance! Nice walk-around. Good laughs too.
A few things that need to be addressed, if this is truly going to be an off-road trailer. I have been doing this for many years now, so have experienced ALOT of good and bad with a trailer going off-road. Good for the 380 watts of solar. 200 amp hours of battery is barely enough with A/C use unless it is bright sun every day to re-charge batteries. 1) The underside needs to be insulated and fully covered. A few drags on those things that are exposed (water tank, gray water tank & drain, etc) and it gets VERY expensive!! Plus its not always dry weather, so sand, mud, slush, snow, road chemicals, will absolutely destroy the underside of a trailer, if not sealed! 2) Need a 2000 watt inverter if one plans to run a coffee maker off of battery. 3) Lithium batteries will need heaters in them if one plans to camp below freezing, and needs to charge the batteries back up. 4) Acrylic windows?? Yikes!! A few scrubs on tree branches while going off-road, and they will be scratched up badly!! Glass is far better in every way! 5) The awning looks cool, but lets in mosquitos like CRAZY!! Without a screen of some sort, this is big negative on a trailer. No one wants to try to sleep with mosquitos or other bugs flying around inside. 6) Pull down steps look cool, but with dust, sand, mud, slush, snow, these will stop working in a few years. 7) Propane tank is not covered. Bad idea. Think dust, sand, mud, sand, slush, snow. Cover it and all is good. 8) No screens on windows?? Think mosquitos and bugs :) At 22:32 you can see the issue. Only moths go to light. Mosquitos don't go toward light, they seek and find warm blooded people. Other than that, a pretty nice trailer, though seriously overpriced :)
Add: cork board! And some sort of mirror. Probably relatively easy to add a screen to close off the kitchen area from the inside. And I bet there is a screen “garage” type thing to enclose the awning/kitchen from bugs, rain, wind. Have fun! Glad you have another adventure enabler. Where will your dog sleep?
Great job Brad, your video's are the Best, cool looking & versatile camper. Hope you enjoy it!! for the money... I'd have to go with the 1475 or 1685 tho. Keep up the good work.😎
Great camper, just can’t believe how expensive things have become. We purchased a three bedroom, one bath vacation home on 1/2 acre in northern Wisconsin in 2015 for $72,000. To think this camper costs more than our vacation home is crazy to me.
Love it!! You're right... needs some color in there. You can get some things printed off (like decals) but they are wraps (like for the exterior of a car) of pictures etc, to spruce up the inside. I think it's time to start another channel with your Lance Adventures! Go film your weekend camping.
Saw this in person at Camping World. It is pretty neat but pretty pricey as well. You get seat cushions for a bed, a cooler for a fridge, one small gas tank due to the company going green with the solar, short wall limited wood holder, I wish they had a cassette toilet instead of the black tank
the bed is a hybrid air/memory foam mattress, no complaints after a week of using. I use the fridge for beer and some meats, plenty room for a case, water, and meat. I’m actually impressed with the solar set up as I’ve never been a believer until now, the 380w of solar and dual 100ah lithiums have been running my 12v a/c and fridge on 12v for 3 weeks continuous without drawing down the batteries down a single percent. I have been trying to kill the batteries and can’t even draw them down 1%. talk about impressed! the 5 gal turd taxi is super easy to dump, didn’t know how I’d feel about it, but over all pleased with my purchase.
Hi Brad wondering if you traded in your 975? And if so is this your only camper now? And also if so can you talk about why you switch A little? Thank you. PS I hope Lance is hooking you up as your videos are really selling their products!
Beautiful but needs a screen by the kitchen...I'd install some prg board in the big storage area for hanging stuff. Thanks for your down to earth reviews always.
What a great trailer. It had more room inside than it seemed from outside. The only downside for me is the open space between the kitchen and inside of the unit. If it's cold outside you will lose the inside heat when opening the tailgate to access the kitchen. It would be great if you could access from the inside, although I'm not sure how you would make that work, or have some dividing wall.
Nice trailer. I’ll stick with my camper though. Have to get some warranty work on my 1172 I’ve got 3 cracks in my shower surround one piece panel. Dont know how they got there. Haven’t even used the camper yet. Have you ever come across this before. Enjoy that new camper. Should help you sell a few.
No I haven’t. I’ve seen a couple people post to the LOA about shower cracks. My assumption would be the way it was left, quite unlevel, or severe change in temps. They don’t just crack for no reason. I’ve had countless come in and sit on my lot, (2) 1172’s sat on my lot from November to May and no cracks. I’m not saying it’s your fault either, but maybe climate had something to do with it or could’ve just been overly fastened. Either way I wish you speedy fix with warranty.
No awning which I was really bummed about! But the fridge does have a lid you can put over one side that cools it enough to freeze water bottles, so should freeze meats as well. It was a really cool trailer, but I have it up for sale now and may plan for a Truck Camper in the future. TC’s are more my style lol
I see all the negative people saying it’s priced too high but if you compare it to a Patriot Camper with a tent on top and no bathroom it’s a really good value. Off road campers are expensive to build and appeal to the backcountry campers and the non-RV campground types. Yes it’s expensive but so is a Earthroamer but I think Lance did a great job and it will sell no doubt. Thanks for the walk though Brad.
I sold my 975 almost a year ago exact, someone wanted it more then I did. I’m trying this out to see what I like better, so far they both have their perks. It’ll be hard to decide what to get next year! Lol
Congrats on the camper. Ignore the folks crying about the price. Yes, its expensive, because it is a Lance. So what, it's your money so buy what you want.
Congrats. I love this rig. I have been waiting for it to go in production since I saw the prototype on RUclips iat least two years ago. Thanks for showing that you can have just part of the bed. I thought you either have the full dinette or a whole bed. The way you keep it is more practical. Given you have a cassette toilet. I assume you have no black tank. So the monitor on the wall will show no reading. Composting toilets are the ones you put some wood shavings, usually coconut that separates the urine from the poop. You may need to empty the urine tank every 3 days but the wood thingy may need to replaced once a month if you live full time on it. Some people love them and some hate it. What I like about this rog over other small overlanding trailers is obviously the bathroom and that you can access the fridge from the inside. Convenient at night and on rainy days. I hope you enjoy this rig and create many memories in it. Concur with you. I hope Lance make standard the net between the kitchen and the living space.
I actually had my 2021 Lance 975 when this was first in the talks, I remember speaking with one of the ex Lance Marketing Director’s about it thinking it was going to release soon and selling my 975 and ending up having to go a full year camperless waiting on this thing 😅 I’m so glad it’s finally here
It looks like a high top version of my Forest River IBEX 10lhg, but a few feet of extra length. Since it has the same suspension and the same component suppliers; Lance must be made by Forest River now I was on aware of that. I do like the upscale fit and finish inside versus my little ibex, but that’s almost 3 times what my parents paid for our four-bedroom home, or four times what my IBEX cost; but if you’ve got the coin go for it.
Remember folks…..with Lance campers your getting the name, reputation, resell value, good product. Now would I pay that much??? No. But opinions are like azzholes…everyone has one! Lol P.S. Brad your videos are awesome. 😃
It’s a ton of money, but not so much when compared to like trailers, even tear drops etc. Just the suspension and lithium/solar combo adds a ton to the cost. Congrats though, time for testing:)
Appreciate the walk through and it does have some high end features. Yet over priced. I could be in an Airstream Base-Camp $68-72K ; They're lacking rear big screen, No L awning over your cooking area, extending into your camp site. Those are key features they should have it on there. Thats nothing new. But their built in Cali with a high cost for production and transport.
The airstream base camps are nice, but not as off-road or off-grid capable as this one. Different style camper, I’ve already sent in about the awning, bug screen, and also it’d be nice to have a ladder standardized to access the roof. I quickly fixed the lack bug screen issue with a shower rod and curtain and has worked like a charm so far. Sure, some bugs can still find their way in, but I’ve yet to have a fully “bug proof” camper yet lol
Instead of tying my dog I would use that to tie my wife up so she doesn't run home because she hates camping. Just kidding.....😂😂😂. Questions:. Okay so is it 4 season and I wish that it had a way to cook inside during the winter or bad weather. I would like to see a screen on the back so that you can stay under the screen while you're cooking...
Lol It’s not 4 season rated, so I’ll definitely have to be careful during the cold months. Lucky for me January and February are really the only two months for freezing temps mostly
This is Nice, however: 1️⃣ The Sink/Oven and Cooler Should Be Switched around. Reason, you'll be able to Access the Stove from Inside, in the Event of Rain 🌧️ and Snow 🌨️ 2️⃣ The Slope for the Bed area Should have been, Higher, for More Room... 3️⃣ I'd Modify this to fit on a 3 Ton Truck 🚛
Coors, Miller, corona, Dos Equis, modelo, red stripe, and a variety of blonde ales. I drink what I decide on at that time and place, lastnight it was coors - something cheap after a camper purchase lol
No wonder the travel trailer industry is on the skids, fiberglass campers are the way to go. It is a beautiful set up, but not 77 grand beautiful. Thanks for the info.
Haha! Lance is trying to compete with the Black Series(even copying their color scheme). But at least the Black Series campers are full campers. I’ve seen a new Black Series HQ19(26ft) for $62,000..which is still ridiculous. Lance put a fancy hitch, upgraded spring/suspension package, and some diamond plate on a trailer and added $65,000 more than it’s worth to the price tag. Pure silliness!🤣
I encourage you to read the forums owners have created about them before commenting. I was looking at an HQ19 before I bought the enduro. I was wondering why they had the price cut so low on them and had no current models sitting on dealer lots during the Covid era when campers were selling like crazy. The forums explain it all.
The price is truly astronomical and frankly beyond belief for the product. For nearly the same amount of money much larger and better built campers are available. For those that care to see what this type of price can get you go to ROA RV’s of America. They deal strictly in off-road campers. All that said I do like this little camper.
@@stephenowen1087 That would be true of campers like the black series, but most of their offerings are either Australian or South African manufactured and some of them are now manufactured here in the US.
While I like the idea of Lance doing this type of overland camper, they missed the mark on the price. About $25k too high for what you get. Those cassette toilets are really nice and convenient to dump. Great video walkthrough however and I hope you really enjoy it!
$77,000? NOPE!!!!

Yes it’s expensive but so is a Earthroamer but I think Lance did a great job and it will sell no doubt. Thanks for the walk though Brad.
Go enjoy it Brad! Nice set up.
Do you still have your camper. If not why did you switch? How will you tow a boat?
I sold my 975 almost a year ago exact, someone wanted it more then I did. I’m trying this out to see what I like better, so far they both have their perks. It’ll be hard to decide what to get next year! Lol
Congrats on the camper. Ignore the folks crying about the price. Yes, its expensive, because it is a Lance. So what, it's your money so buy what you want.
Thanks! And yeah, holy 💩, I have never seen so many people get their panties in a wad over what someone decides to spend their $ on lol
That is a cassette toilet not a composting toilet. I love those and I wish lance would out them in their truck campers like northstar and bundatec do
I actually had my 2021 Lance 975 when this was first in the talks, I remember speaking with one of the ex Lance Marketing Director’s about it thinking it was going to release soon and selling my 975 and ending up having to go a full year camperless waiting on this thing 😅 I’m so glad it’s finally here
Honestly I’d like to see that kitchen setup be a little more modular. Be nice to be able to cook inside during a rainy day.
I believe an interior kitchen model is in the works
The black tank is the cassette toilet, easy to empty on the fly.
Do a video from the woods with this!
I’ve got a few ideas, just need to get some time away from work to do them lol
It looks like a high top version of my Forest River IBEX 10lhg, but a few feet of extra length. Since it has the same suspension and the same component suppliers; Lance must be made by Forest River now I was on aware of that. I do like the upscale fit and finish inside versus my little ibex, but that’s almost 3 times what my parents paid for our four-bedroom home, or four times what my IBEX cost; but if you’ve got the coin go for it.
My credit union had the coin, not me
Bead lock rims also. That's awesome!
I think they’re mimics lol
Remember folks…..with Lance campers your getting the name, reputation, resell value, good product. Now would I pay that much??? No. But opinions are like azzholes…everyone has one! Lol
P.S. Brad your videos are awesome. 😃
Some people are lucky enough to have two… 🤣🤣🤣
It’s a ton of money, but not so much when compared to like trailers, even tear drops etc. Just the suspension and lithium/solar combo adds a ton to the cost. Congrats though, time for testing:)
Thank you! First trip in the books, time to do a real trip with it!
It’s a really cool little camper but the price is outrageous!
I think the rubber bouncers are called isolaters
I had no idea lol
your chain should be crisscross like saddle so if your hitch pops free the chains will catch it. it has happen to me and my chain caught it.
I always haul with chains crossed, but this one the chains are not long enough to do so. Looking at replacing with longer ones asap
Lol
It’s not 4 season rated, so I’ll definitely have to be careful during the cold months. Lucky for me January and February are really the only two months for freezing temps mostly
Crisscross your safety chains, they will catch the tongue if it ever disconnected and not let it dig into the ground. Sweet camper.
Looking for longer chains atm. I always cross, but these are not long enough to do so
Its a beauty, but $77K? What do you figure this unit will be worth in 3 years? I love the unit, but the price is insane.
Not sure, I usually only keep campers a year. Hope it’s good enough to keep doing so lol
This is Nice, however:
1️⃣ The Sink/Oven and Cooler Should Be Switched around. Reason, you'll be able to Access the Stove from Inside, in the Event of Rain 🌧️ and Snow 🌨️
2️⃣ The Slope for the Bed area Should have been, Higher, for More Room...
3️⃣ I'd Modify this to fit on a 3 Ton Truck 🚛
Awesome rig! Congrats!
Thank you!
I hope the Coors purchase was out of ignorance.
Coors, Miller, corona, Dos Equis, modelo, red stripe, and a variety of blonde ales. I drink what I decide on at that time and place, lastnight it was coors - something cheap after a camper purchase lol
@@itsbrad You might as well drink Bud since they are the same ideologically as Coors and Miller.
Don’t we all need a Batman signal light from time to time !? Thanks Brother !
You know, I may just leave it sky high and throw a bay sticker on it 😂
That price tag is off the hook incredible no way would I pay that for this that's insane
Absolutely stunning trailer… I think the price is just to high. Also? There should be skid plates under the tanks. That will be a problem.
You forgot to mention the key holder. And where to put the potato chips. 😂
But seriously. Very nice setup. Another great video.
Man! I knew I left something out lol
No wonder the travel trailer industry is on the skids, fiberglass campers are the way to go. It is a beautiful set up, but not 77 grand beautiful. Thanks for the info.
Damn!! That’s a big price for that little thing!!
You get what you pay for. Very nice trailer, Brad. I feel I helped with the payments already watching all those YT ads. Carry on.
You have, thank you lol
You know what I don't understand, the tv, you are out in the beautiful wilderness and you are going to watch telly?
Very nice Brad!👍
Ginna need a bug screen to separate the rear from the inside
I bought a shower curtain to handle it the first night lol
That's not a composting toilet it's just a holding tank essentially.
Was confused doing the video bc I thought they mentioned composting on the prototype. But yes, you’re right, figured that out pretty quickly lol
@@itsbrad It's possible they were going to go with a different kind of toilet to begin with.
How are they going to sell these expensive trailers with the current high interest rates. I foresee a big reality check coming for the RV industry.
Interest hasn’t reached too far out of reach yet. Got mine for 6.75 which is half a percent less then my minimal investment account
Can it be pulled with a half ton...
Yes, only 3500lbs. I pull with a tundra, my Tacoma would’ve handled it easily
Wow! Pricey! Nice though...
Like see the next 1 .hope be longer and better than the Pause..
Nice, but that’s a hell of a lot of money for such a small trailer.
Yes, time for someone else with a lot of money to enjoy it.
Glad to see NO BUD LIGHT!!!!!!!!!
Nice little camper but man that’s crazy to 70k you can do so much better but to each their own as long as you are happy that is what matters
The price is truly astronomical and frankly beyond belief for the product. For nearly the same amount of money much larger and better built campers are available. For those that care to see what this type of price can get you go to ROA RV’s of America. They deal strictly in off-road campers. All that said I do like this little camper.
It all depends what you want, this is what I wanted so I paid it
Yes but most if not ALL of those campers in the ROA videos are made in China, then assembled in the U.S.
@@stephenowen1087 That would be true of campers like the black series, but most of their offerings are either Australian or South African manufactured and some of them are now manufactured here in the US.
I like it but it's 10 grand more than it should be
Crazy price!!
Pics of your Dane. We have 3. They are the best❤❤❤
My wife is constantly trying to talk me into our second lol
I personally don’t get it. Where is 77k?? I can get a 42’ toy hauler lol
You gave how much for this? Man you must have wanted it real bad
There is supposed to be a table in the rear
How many hotel stays can 77,000 get cha ?
Don’t know. I do know you never get your $ back from hotels though, high resale value when I get tired of this
While I like the idea of Lance doing this type of overland camper, they missed the mark on the price. About $25k too high for what you get.
Those cassette toilets are really nice and convenient to dump.
Great video walkthrough however and I hope you really enjoy it!
I would’ve enjoyed a $25k+ discount, but not this go round. Maybe next time lol
Cross those chains a couple times please.
Nice camper!
Chains aren’t long enough, I have to replace them
@itsbrad OK, just didn't want you to trash that nice camper!! Good video man!
Are you serious on the cost?
I’m joking
Not lol
Sweet Jesus! That thing is pushing $70,000?! With a wet bath and a cassette toilet? That's insane.
It is a storage compartment.....for your poo!
