Hey Paul, This is very sad news. I love Benny's On The Beach & was there around Christmas time & enjoyed my meal with a beachy vibe & awesome view!!! Save Old Florida!!!
We are new to the area as residents, but have been coming to this beach for years. We live in Boynton Beach but come here weekly. Benny's makes it different and special. We love hearing the live music. Love being able to grab a bite to eat or a drink. It just makes this beach the best beach. We have 5 beaches 7 minutes from our house. The Boynton Beaches and Delray are included in that grouping. We choose Benny's for it's eclectic charm, it's music, it's food, and for being different then any other beach near us. This is our beach. If it closes, it will be a sad day for many, including our family.
@@PalmBeachesPaul fun watching places I used to frequent.. and likely returning again in a few months. So, they Council won’t renew the lease.. they have a buddy to replace the spot? That Council that dirty? Be curious if this is just about greed or more 😳😳😳
My understanding was they came to an agreement and then a few other local officials said they think they can get more money for that place right on the pier and the owner told him to pound sand. He’s not gonna do it. He also was supposed to have a lease until 2033 and they’re not continuing that.
Sad to see a classic go but it’s well passed do for a major renovation. That’s a very valuable location and deserves an outstanding place. Benny’s was ok at best.
I’m glad there was an agreement and the restaurant can stay. I’m actually going to write a story about it and I watched your video for some helpful information. Thanks for the good work.
Your Governor should be assisting with these problems instead of fighting culture wars that no one cares about. Another thing is that he is doing nothing to prepare for riding sea levels. By allowing over development the natural defenses to storms and floods.
Oh no. My husband and I went there once and planned to go back on our next trip. We absolutely loved it. We never eat at chain restaurants when traveling. We like to give local businesses our tourist dollars. So sad.
I moved out of Florida a couple years ago they’re destroying the place big bunnies moved in. Everything has to be glitzy. There’s not gonna be any regular people in Florida before you know it.
Have you ever been to Benny's On The Beach or had one of your favorite establishments go away. Leave me a comment down below.
It was great. Always packed. What the heck?

Word has it at the city may be working out a deal with the owner so let’s hope

They still have the restaurant over in the casino down the street but the one on the pier looks like it is probably going to close
Easy. Remove the City Council 👍👍
Thx for watching

It looks like the city is going to work things out with the owner, might be staying. Thx for watching, please subscribe.
@@PalmBeachesPaul ok, hopefully they fix it up. Was there recently and it was a bit ratchet for my liking.
Are they tearing the Mizner architecture down?

It’s not looking good for Benny’s unfortunately but thank you for watching, and please subscribe to my channel
Our representatives do not care what we want. They want money. End of story.
Thank goodness they are shutting this place down, the food is bland and boring and service is horrible! They not good thing this place has is a view.
Thanks for watching Jeremy and leaving a comment. Only the location at the pier is closing. The location in the casino will remain.

Highland Beach in the 70s and now. Sad when the condo people take over.
Old Florida needs to stay...
