Itokiri - as a step to start a Sashiko Journey (and to complete the Sashiko stitching) - is an important process in Sashiko Stitching. It isn’t always necessary. However, I want everyone to be able to do so with proper understanding. Here, I share the whole process with filtering some uncomfortable noise & focusing on the clear snipping sound. I hope you enjoy the process with “Sashiko Sound”.

*I used Audio Software to enhance the sound & filter the unnecessary noise. Please let me know if you find uncomfortable noise in the video.

So ASMR. Beautiful to watch, and how satisfying to see such a work on the very last finishing touches. Not that your cultural insights or tutorials would be less. All of this is very calming, interesting, and worth delving into.

I really like this video. It’s fun to watch and hear each thread tail be clipped. It’s also wonderful to enjoy the stitches and colors of this beautiful piece while it is spread flat on the work table.
