I had to look into Uli's top-5s minus wins in NTs/ES/Majors. The results are kinda heartbreaking: National Tour: 19 such finishes Majors: 8 such finishes Earlier DGPT events that were classified as A-tiers: 4 such finishes Notable A-Tiers at the time at venues that would go on to be DGPT stops (Vegas, DGLO, GBO/DDO, GMC, DMC, Vibram/MVP, Ledgestone, TX States): 18 such finishes So that's 31 non-win top-5s in Majors, the National Tour, and DGPT like Corey talked about. Notable A-tiers that had pretty full fields, like Corey mentioned, add at least another 18, though certainly more, as I'm sure I left out some A-tiers that were big at the time but did not become part of the current DGPT (the Memorial, others). So that's 49+ "top-tier" top-5 finishes but not wins. Probably ~55 if I had better knowledge of old A-tiers. That compares to 1 win at such events, the 2011 National Tour Brent Hambrick Memorial. Uli seems phenomenally, *impossibly* unlucky to have amassed such a record.
Love the practice round vids. Would love to see everyone who films practice round videos consult before filming to see which courses they'll be filming because Brodie and Ezra did Northwood Black and so is Ricky and now Jomez. Of course, a majority of people will only watch whoever they usually do but for people who would watch at least more than one, they'd be more enticed to watch a Eureka Temp practice round (or a different course than the others are filming on for different events in the future) since it's a two-course event.
I was playing in the Great 8 (8 courses in a day Central NC best shot doubles) When we got to the 7th course of the day our group merged with Schwebby's. He won't remember me but he gave me a couple of tips and they helped my game tremendously. He is a class act! And one of NC's finest disc golfers. Dude is a legend.
Here in our town in Minnesota, it's the first Wednesday of the month, and I've had the same thought as Jules. What would happen if there was actually bad weather at the same time as the test siren? People ignore the siren even when it's a real storm!
Bigbari is the best thing to come to Jomez. I literally watch every practice round and putting game. These guys are great, even the tournament coverage with them hosting is perfect content for a disc golfer. Thank you guys!
21 NT top 5 for Uli according to stat mando. Another 9 major top 5, not including a few wins in each of those. The other Paul has… twice as many… and 2 wins vs 54 wins. McBeth has almost twice as many wins as Uli has top 5s lol, and almost as many 2nd place finishes as Uli has top 5s
Is this event usually around the same dates every year? I live a couple hours away and want to play to go next year. Im hoping to follow James Conrad around the course.
I missed an opportunity to get one of those mythical pop top forces on Facebook, Andrew Presnell snagged it before I realized what it was. The one that got away :’(
I've never felt a comment more then "i gave myself a lot of birdy looks but they just weren't falling.. my last 3 rounds just about every par I got was a birdly look.. Most from C2 but i made a total of 5 birds in 3 rounds but had about 20 more chances at least frustrating af lol
Brain super thumber Scweberger and Brad always patent pending Hammock. Where the guys doing good at tournaments when Was happy with just cashing in mpo... 05 06 07ish nice gotta include some masters in your content!!!!!❤ it....
Good, PDGA is going to do slow play more like the PGA has for a long time. Much better to have an official do it rather than a player suddenly call it for whatever reason. Understandably, most players don't want to make calls.
If they change that rule about the debris, I'll have a small party. It felt confusing and slightly unfair before, and I play on courses with pretty mediocre upkeep (I bring clippers for thorns after I throw).
100% disagree with Jerm on calling a hole clear. Let people know you are fine with them taking their tee shots even if you are visible. Communication creates connection and comfort on the course.
Well, I tried to get chat-gpt to tell me how many top 5 placements Uli has, but it couldn’t figure it out. AI just said as of 2020 Uli has participated in over 500 tournaments and won 107.
Corey Ellis seems like the chillest dude on tour
Happy to see a Billy Strings fan win his first major.
He is for sure
That catch by the caddie at 19:55 was wayyyy too slick 😂
Good catch catching that catch! 😉
Big Bradley
the standby cut of Jerm's "stupid thought" was one of the funniest moments in the history of jomez coverage.
I love Jerm but he needs one of those every few minutes
Jomez needs to do an End-season montage of all the ones he has done during the year.
Jerm and Zoe Andyke should have a competition for who can be the most Magoo
Appreciate you asking Corey about his unique run up!
Corey Ellis is a great personality and his major takedown is a fantastic story of overcoming hardship. Super stoked for him! Great guest
Long time coming for Corey! So happy for him!
Always love to play disc golf through many trees! Many blessings to you all!
the cheque thing blew my mind, so funny
One of the funniest stories they've had on the practice round; truly legendary move to carry that check around
Hooray for the Euro champ but I got way to excited when I thought I read "The Champ." Please get a practice round with The Champ
Cory is a HIT on this stuff. Having a great time watching this.

He's the definition of good but never great.
I'm so happy for Corey! I knew he would win eventually, but I certainly didn't think his 1st win would be a major. Really proud of him!
So happy for Corey he’s a major champion not to many people have one give props to the guy
I love how Uli says "nice shot buddy" every time Jerm throws a good shot
super stoked for ellis man, great job over seas.
a stupid thought? My favorite. BEEEEEEEEEEEEP.
lol
You guys crack me up!!🤣
Love these practice rounds!!
Oh wow! Corey's wingspan is huge! Suprised it's bigger than Jerm's
I too was on a card with Uli in Gastonia and boy did i embarrass myself....great time tough!
42:02 Big Jerm in his natural habitat nervously trying to hold it together because he's got a tough shot when he's already -5 through 5 😬
Man, get a mic on Schwebby and have him walk every round with Brad and let us hear **that** conversation. OG wisdom.
I love Brad as much as anyone, but he's not Jomez approved
@@WanderingYoda Isnt he famous for farting on cam?

Schwebby!
We need, NEED, a Schwebby mic'd up practice round!
Thought that was him!

The first time I ever watched disc golf on RUclips was the 2014 Buckhorn Open. Schwebby and Terry Gallops were on the card. I'll never forget that.
BRO THE CAMERA GIY STILL DIDNT LOOK BACK AT THAT GAP COREY PUTTED THROUGH!!
Sup guys!! Love the practice rounds.
Jerm really out there playing the world's hardest most technical course without a stable putter😂
1st Tuesday of the month for the sirens, not every Tuesday, Jerm lol
Oh! That's much more reasonable
@@bigjermdg Midwesterners would lose their dang minds if it was every Tuesday 😂
Here in our town in Minnesota, it's the first Wednesday of the month, and I've had the same thought as Jules. What would happen if there was actually bad weather at the same time as the test siren? People ignore the siren even when it's a real storm!
Hey, for all those who still didn't know, Corey Ellis is really, really good at Disc Golf.
Bigbari is the best thing to come to Jomez. I literally watch every practice round and putting game. These guys are great, even the tournament coverage with them hosting is perfect content for a disc golfer. Thank you guys!
Also very nice seing Uli learning some individual putting things from Cory!!
Entertaining! Thanks!
Great course!
The wait is over, wohooooo!
Now, get need to get THE champ on a practice around somehow
Big Jerm accidentally politely releasing all the lurkers out there 😂😂😂😂
Now I wanna hear Big jirms question!
Jerm - "What are you made of?"
Uli - "All of it."
Respect!
Northwoods!
There's a quick clip of Calvin talking about working on that wrist pop for distances and how he practices for it.
Absolutely love these practice rounds. So much fun to watch. Would love to see more FPO players though. The episode with the Geese was great.....Honk
Drummond shout out! Played with that cat WAY back in the day in Mad-Town
I sneezed at hot exact same time Uli sneezed at 23:00 and someone said bless you and I thought they were talking to me
Thanks for listening to the community’s feedback and having Corey on the Practice Round!
Uli beat me by 1 at said flex start. Also was wondering WHY ON EARTH HE WAS THERE.
Our tornado siren testing is every Saturday at noon.
Corey Ellis being too nice to Uli 😅 cute
fun stuff
Secret to good long distance putting is to remember to open your hand at the end of your stroke
Didn't think it would be this soon but the way Corey was playing, it was just a matter of time before he won a pro-tournament.
Where can i watch the European Open? I thought Jomez would cover all season?
How many courses are in Gastonia?
James condrad would be screwed in West Virginia lol😂 love you James
Is this event usually around the same dates every year? I live a couple hours away and want to play to go next year. Im hoping to follow James Conrad around the course.
Who dat? James Conrad
@modestmealsandmore yes, my phone autocorrected Conrad to Connor. What the haystacks? LoL
I missed an opportunity to get one of those mythical pop top forces on Facebook, Andrew Presnell snagged it before I realized what it was. The one that got away :’(
"It was..." lol
Billie Strings fastest flatpicker in da west...used my only phone call to contact my daddy, I got 20 long years for some dust in a baggie
practice round and putting lessons, nice.
Its not every tuesday at 10 am, its just the first Tuesday of the month at 10 am for the horn tests.
I've never felt a comment more then "i gave myself a lot of birdy looks but they just weren't falling.. my last 3 rounds just about every par I got was a birdly look.. Most from C2 but i made a total of 5 birds in 3 rounds but had about 20 more chances at least frustrating af lol
Who was that beatboxing at 32:16?
I think the guy that designed Corey's logo saw the video game Crying Suns and took inspiration from that.
“Tuesday at 10am” is actually the first Tuesday of the month at 10am
Where is Jonathan? In the ol' days he was always present, excited to be on a cam. Miss those times.
Jerm went insane
22:40 Bless you.
When we getting 4k????
Good vibes with Cory and shwebby
Smooth operator BigJerm
Look at the views across discgolf 😮😮😮😮😮😮😮it's falling hard
I can't wait to not watch disc golf all weekend... again
Somewhere in Gastonia... Lmfao, you snuck out to Bradley Center!
Is this Jerm’s best practice round 9? He’s on fire
I want the noise on the star frame...

Was that Kelso on No.1?
Sirens are the EBS test system, goes off first Tue of every month and Morton has like 5 of em that go off in succession. lol
All I can look at now are Corey Ellis's monster hands
"Hole 1 450. Some people will throw mid ranges" I can't barely throw half that with a driver. -ME
I need to know what jerms stupid thought was that they cut out 😂😂
*Lying awake wondering what Jerm said 8-L
brad just catching a disc one handed with a disc already in his catching hand...
I noticed that. WTF? Too good.

Having my earbuds out at 40:53 was almost upsetting
MORE COURSES LIKE NORTHWOOD BLACK
why blur him out in the thumbnail??
☺️😊

*PSA* First Tuesday of every month the alarm sounds.
Tristen tanner has a short run up like Corey as well
Corey ellis's ape index must be nuts

Not me sitting here rooting for Jerm to go 18 down on Northwoods lmao
Those fingers are freakishly long... Good God!
Schwebby! Wuz up? 🙋♂️
