    I just ordered mine . Mine is the next one up . But looking at the heating element that's very important. Sometime heat transfer paper if u dont use the right heat it will crack . For example FM expressions u have to have the heat right and the pressure or else it will crack . Oh and I got 4 years warranty on it that's always a plus

    Got mine Nov. didn't use it till the beginning of july , new to this been using it. But just recently I bought a heat temp gun and realized the temp is way off.

    • @BluelightGaming1
      @BluelightGaming1 4 года назад +1

      It's not necessarily off. Those type of thermometer guns measure ambient temp also so the farther away you are the wider the area is that it measures and it averages.
      Just cause you have the laser dot on a spot doesn't mean that spot is exactly that temp. You'll see if you move further back the temp will go down.

    i just ordered and received my 15x15 black series, and got scortch marks the first few runs, but i was also using it without the silicone pad.

    • @ColorChangeCustoms
      @ColorChangeCustoms  Год назад +2

      Oh no! Be sure to use the pad on the bottom plate, and maybe parchment paper or teflon sheet on the top, if needed. Also, be sure to use the correct temperature and not go too hot and scorch the vinyl and material. Each vinyl manufacturer lists their recommended temperatures.

    Is there a button on it used to clamp it down. For some reason mine is not clamping down I literally have to hold it down the entire duration of the press.

    • @ColorChangeCustoms
      @ColorChangeCustoms  3 года назад

      No, it should “clamp” down and stay once you get past a certain point. You might need to adjust your spring tension if it’s not staying. Check your user’s manual on adjusting the tension.

    • @ColorChangeCustoms
      @ColorChangeCustoms  3 года назад

      I was double checking on this and I think you might not be going past the “clampdown” point. Basically you can bring the clamshell all the way down just with a minimal amount of force and it will stop, but if you let go, It will pop back up. Once you get to that stop point, you have to pull down with a little bit more force and it should go down just a little bit more. You will feel a spring resisting against you and The handle will go down another inch maybe and then you will hear and feel it lock in place. Then it will stay down on its own. To lift it back up, you have to give it a quick tug upwards to unlock it, and then the spring assist will bring it up the rest of the way.

    has this heat press still worked good for you and would you suggest it for a beginner looking to start a small business selling shirts and hoodies or should i invest in something different

    • @ColorChangeCustoms
      @ColorChangeCustoms  Год назад

      It's worked great for me! I actually just made a shirt yesterday using it. As far as for a business, I'm not sure since I don't do high volume. According to my counter on the heat press, I've done just over 300 presses and I've had the press for 3 years I think, so about 100 presses per year. It's worked perfectly each time for me though. If you think you'd be doing much higher volumes, it may be worth it for you to look into an industrial heat press designed for high volume use.

      @HeLoveHerm Год назад

      @@ColorChangeCustoms thanks man I think that could probably work as I might do 200 a year ish maybe it’s not a big scale I’m a teenager just doing it for the enjoyment of designing the stuff and to be able to actually print my design for friends and even sell some

    • @ColorChangeCustoms
      @ColorChangeCustoms  Год назад

      You may have to push it down a little harder. Mine will get down to a certain point and then it's one last push that kind of clicks into place, if that makes sense. You may also have to adjust the spring tension as well. Maybe double check the owner's manual to see if there's anything in there about it.

      That I am not sure of. You’d have to check the heat press nation website to see if the hat attachment is offered for this model. But off the top of my head, I do not think so.

    You can get away with using that press for htv pressing because you adjust the shirt around the cold spots, which sucks but you gotta improvise. The probleml though is with sublimation. Cold spots and inconsistencies will ruin all your projects because once you open the press and peel, there's no going back.
    I have an Amazon cheapie and now I see that even the American more expressive presses have the same heating issues. These heat press companies are killing us with these cheaply made presses. I guess you have to spend thousands for a decent press

  • @danbarb9728
    @danbarb9728 4 года назад

    holy shit, i think 400 is way to much for this. I mean this exact design is like offered under 20 different names at ebay and amazon. I think the cheapest is like 150 Euro here. They all look the same with little differences in the display. To be hones ti dont like the design because it has the inferior design because that pressure knob is at the top. To be honest with you, for 400 dollar you can get semi auto presses with a slide and laser cut metal frame, of course from chinese brands as well but those are one of the better chinese presses, not the 150-200 dollar ones. I see that alot of american and european online shops just put their name on and sell them for 100% more.
