Just got this heat press yesterday and let me tell you!!! Your video helped me so much! Love all the information and tips you provided. So happy I stumbled across your channel when I was searching heat press videos.
This was my question! I did not see many people addressing the issue, I saw a few tutorials and wondered how the other people making shirts did not get theirs snagged somehow. Thanks for the tip
Lol this is amazing I also got a promo heat press machine I've had it for 5 years a 12×15 and it won't die I'm looking to get another one 15x15 semi-auto soon 😂

Hello Charlotte and welcome! I have not had that experience or had heard of it. I’m curious to see exactly what other metal piece they’re referring to. My issue was specifically with the springs. I do show in my videos exactly how this happens. Ever since we corrected the problem with the board, I have not had anymore issues. So far thankfully, it’s working like a charm now. 😊. Thanks for watching!
Oh no! I’m so sorry to hear that. Mine have not fallen since. I wonder if there’s a difference in the strength. I would definitely send them back. I’ll look and see if I can find others.
Thanks so much for your review! It was super helpful! I found your link in the review section on HPN's website for this particular press. How are you liking the press a couple months later? Also that little wooden cover solution your husband came up with is genius! thanks for sharing!
Hi Marta! So glad to hear it was helpful. I’ll have to go look for the review on HPN. So far, the heat press has worked really well for me. I have no complaints. The only thing I found at first was a problem were the springs I spoke about but thanks to that wooden piece, it solved the issue. It’s been great ever since. Thanks for taking the time to watch! 😊
Amazing video! I just purchased one and the silver plate at the bottom is scratched. I’m thinking about sending it back. I also need that wooden piece your husband made, bc I know that maybe a problem if I keep it. I wish I was more handy, bc I don’t know who I could get to make that for me 😩😩. Anyway, your video was awesome. I appreciate you.
Welcome, Danielle! I would definitely take a pic and call them. I bet any handy man in your area will do it for you. Thanks for watching and good luck!
Hi there, I loved your video it was the best of all the videos I watched. Very clear and detail explanation. My heat press did not come with the bottom cushion, I bought it for my daughter a year ago, but we barely removed the zip tie today, and that is how I noticed it. We don’t know anything about heat press I just bought it for my 10 year old so she can express herself through her crafting. Any recommendations about the cushion mat, will be appreciated, I could not find the cushion anywhere.
Hello! I’m so glad to hear it helped. When you say cushion are you referring to the black mat that sits directly on the metal piece? If you are, I would call the vendor to see if they can send you one. I also did a search on Amazon, and found this one amzn.to/41ReKFO. However, If you are referring to the different size cushions, those are an accessory you would need to buy separately. I should have a link in the description section. If not, they also sell them on Amazon. Hope this helps!
Hi Rose, thank you so much for taking the time to answer my comment. Yes, I was referring to the black mat that is on the bottom of your heat press, by watching your video I noticed that my 15 x 15 heat press did not come with the mat. I thought I was supposed to buy it separately. Thank you so much for your advice. I will reach out to the company and hope they will send me the bottom piece. in reality, I bought this machine for my 10-year-old so she can express herself through art.🥰
Great video! Could you use this press for sweatshirts and crewnecks as well? Seems like it's too small for that but just curious if you've tried. Thanks!
Hello Rose!! Just have a quick question about your Heat Press from Heat Press Nation. I heard it takes about 15 minutes to heat up. Is this true with yours? Thank you so much for all the great videos!
Great review on the HPN 15x15!! Just wondering the depth on your lagpenten IKEA table top? Is it 23 1/4? Just wondering the name brand of your first heat press? Thank you!! Grace
Hi Grace! As soon as I get back on Sunday, I will measure it for you and post it. The older heat press is no longer made. I do have a link in my video’s description on another less expensive one that’s seems to be popular.

@@RoseOatley I can't seem to find it I'm sorry. I appreciate you im looking for the magnets and the Teflon sheets please. Thank you so much for the measurements to the spring cover. 🙂
Hi Rose, have you had any issues with it being hard to open the press once the timer goes off? I bought this exact heat press in 2019 and I have always struggled to get it back open when it's done pressing. I panic thinking I am going to burn the shirt because I struggle with it.
So I tried my very first dtf press on a used shirt for practice and nothing transferred onto the shirt. I tried everything. Is it bc its an old shirt? Must the shirt be brand new?
I would try it on a new unwashed shirt or even test it out on a small piece of fabric first. Make sure your heat press is coming to the right temp and you don’t have a faulty heat press. You can use a heat gun thermometer. You will need to also check your pressure. A good rule of thumb is to press for 10-15 seconds at 350-380 degrees Fahrenheit and medium-to-high pressure. If you use a light transfer, you may need to reduce the pressing time slightly. They are also cool peels so make sure you wait for it to cool off before removing your transfer.
Hello Rose, I purchased the exact same press as yours recently. I'm getting square lines from the top platen, is it because of the pressure? I followed their instructions on the 'paper' test, but still...Your input please. Thanks.
Hi Linda! It definitely shouldn’t make any lines. Try loosening the pressure a little. What kind of material are you using? I have seen heat presses sometimes make marks on certain type of polo shirts due to material. You can also try testing it on a regular cotton T-shirt to see if the same lines appear.
As the heat press is nearing the target temperature, does the heat light and heat turn off and on every 3 seconds? Mine does that and I'm not sure if that's normal or not. Thanks!
Hi Rachel! I haven’t seen anyone bolt a heat press, yet. I would recommend you contact the manufacturer to make sure and be safe. Of course the easiest thing would be to put it on its own separate sturdy table. If you shop Ikea, you can find reasonably priced tables. Thanks for watching!
Hi Cheryl! The measurements for the board are as follows. You will just need to place it again your machine and mark where you have to make the small cuts. We are currently going through a stressful kitchen renovation. As soon as it’s done, I will see if my husband is willing to cut a few of these I can offer everyone. Hoping to finish this renovation in the next 2-3 weeks. Thanks! Board measurements: Length 7” Width: 2.5” Thickness: 1/4”
Aside from that one issue, everything else has worked great and I’m really enjoying it. Of course I would have preferred a machine with no issues at all but it was an easy fix for me so I’m ok with it for the price.
Hi Gina! I mostly work with HTV. When you say one, do you mean just a number one? I used to do tshirts, cups, decals, etc. but had to stop due to my severe carpal tunnel. I need to get surgery so I can get back to doing more stuff I love. Just trying to hold off until my daughter graduates in another year. Lol. I’m just doing small projects my hand can tolerate for now.
