Wow. Just wow. I love amps that have so much range. Fender cleans, Plexi crunch, JCM and EVH overdrive, Soldano and Bogner distortion. It’s all there. A classic vintage tube amp with modern features built in. Perfection. I need one.

the perfect solution for me te get the soldano sound without spending 20 years of pocket money on just one amp is the syn-30 head with the soldano slo module.you have spend much less money on it and you are also much more flexible this way. but if a soldano is just your lifelong dreamamp, go for it, the slo 30 is the best choice imo . thanks man 💪

In stock at Andertons and big, big Thomann needs 11-14 weeks to get it. Well...
I stick with Tube amp with Cab and a DI Box inbetween, so I can put any IR on the signal, using any amp I want.
Jeeez. It's kind of a budget for soldano but still a boutique price. Let's fast forward some years to get one used - if anyone would ever put that fir sale at all, because it seems to be THE AMP imho. Might have to sell some gear for this little bad boy 😢

oh there is a new contender for the bogner 3534 and slo 30 apparently, i was just waiting for a new mini version of the hot rod or avenger amps, a hot rod 20 would have been amazing, too. price is a bit overboard but soldanos are a save investment since they will keep their value and the trademark sound s something you will not find in any other amp even its a quality clone. cheers🎸

Limpio es muy limpio, está pensado para usar lo con algún pedal de tipo texas ora hacerlo crujir levemente, lo mejor está en el canal azul y el rojo es toda la distinción que te puedas imaginar, el Soldano es un ampli blusero.

Spec-wise this appears to be in the ballpark of the Engl 606 Ironball 20 SE, which is about half the price ... would be interesting to hear a side-by-side comparison.
Soldano's have never exactly been cheap, NOT saying it justifies the price tag. But compared to his other models + the features it's appealing. To the rest of the hi gain market price? Not so much.
I dunno I'm looking at the fireball 25 or this. At least with the fireball I can get a cab with it for the same price as the astro head.
I think it depends on your needs/wants. I got the Astro this week from a local shop and it'll do a grindy thrash/death metal tone with my TS (Carcass, Death, Allegaeon, Megadeth) and it also has all the clean/mid/rock gain sounds in it too. I have a nice cab already, so the head features for me are what was appealing and the really clever implementation of presets to allow more use out of the 3 channels. Tonally it has an insane amount of string clarity with high gain. Boosted, it punches like my 6505 but has way more clarity on the bottom for my 7 string. Because it checks so many boxes, I can sell 2 amps and my 2 notes cabM. The combination of channel volume and master volume means it's very forgiving at my home without attenuation

@@Nowo78 Unfortunately no. The shop carries some high end stuff (Benson, Two Rock, Friedman) but no Engl. I also feel like you can't go wrong with an Engl too if it does the sound you want with the features you require. We're just talking about different flavors of awesome
A killer amp.......will at least definitely kill my economy 😅 what about the affordable heads like the Bugera G series and HB? How would an upgrade from a Tube5 combo amp look from your perspective? I notice the love for the Bugera G series is somewhat lacking 🤔 is there a reason for this?

Not calling you out, because a few others on youtube state it has a load box, but pete thorn says it bypasses the poweramp and uses emulation and that it is NOT a load box. Which is it? The clean has more character through the cabinet in this video as if the poweramp is a differentiator.
Hi, having a load box and possibly a power amp emulation don't speak against each other. Even if the DI uses an emulation, the power amp needs a load box to stay protected. We didn't have the full technical details on how the DI out gets the signal so an emulated power amp is definitely a possibility. Especially if Pete says so. :) Just think about the Friedman IR-X preamp pedal. That has a full tube preamp, the same type of software for IR's and an emulated power amp. I'm pretty sure they used a very similar technology in the Astro 20. Cheers //Kris

Cool amp...but sorry, I never will understand why such an amps fx loop isn't switchable!
Turn The low to 50%
Turn the mids to 75%
Turn the treble to 100%
Then crank that thing!!!!
Is it loud enough for band practice with a loud drummer?
It's a very loud 20w amp so yes, it is powerful enough. But only distorted. If you have to crank the clean channel that much I'm sure it starts to break up (which is an awesome sound but not fully clean anymore). Cheers //Kris
