I love hearing this!! Thanks so much for taking the time to share your experience! I’m sure it gives your dad enjoyment and you peace of mind. A perfect use for the cam 👍
You sold me. Just bought it. I'll just tape it off and spray paint it green and brown. Super excited to try this out. So far I've been disappointed in almost every cell cam I've tried
@@HuntingFarmerOfficial I have a Spartan go cam right now and it freezes over easily, video is not very good. Takes a good day picture but not night. Blowing grass or anything freaks it out. I'm just not that impressed for a $300 cam. That's why I was looking for other options when I found your video and glad I did 👌
My favorite videos to watch are always the ones where people are passionate about what they're doing. You obviously are passionate about trail cameras and it shows. I thought the other one you did a while back was pretty sweet, but this one is even better! That doesn't sound like a bad price to me at all considering it comes with the solar panel and battery too.

Thanks for the video! It was exactly what I was looking for. One question I didn't hear answered: can I "call" up the camera from my phone or computer and get it to show me some real time video? I'm looking for a cellular camera to use at my fishing shack to watch the wildlife and see anyone that might walk by. I'd also like to be able to check out the weather, ice & snow depth. @@HuntingFarmerOfficial I too make some videos and know how it feels to have comments and views 👍 I am sooooo looking forward to a good trail cam, with videos sent right to me!
Amazing video, just purchased! Please please please reply with a working link to the exact prepaid SD card that you're currently using. The one in the video description is no longer available! Thanks...
The original FreedomPop card mentioned in the video I can no longer recommend (they changed services etc). I now use Eiotclub data cards (but from what I see they are temporarily sold out). From what I’ve been told they will be back in stock a few days.
Late to the video here, I appreciate that I'm watching this. I was about to pull the trigger on another product. My question is: is the IR visible (red) or one of the less visible light spectrums?
That is a legitimate concern! Besides placing it high, they do lack security features such as cable lock capability etc. One good thing is you should have video of whoever messed with/stole your cam 😁
You basically sold me on this review> I will be using this to monitor my hunting land while im gone like a trail camera. How is it with getting wet? I read a few amazon reviews about it failing after a rain storm.
Thanks for watching! The camera are weatherproof and designed to be outdoors. I’ve had several of them outside 24/7 in the rain, sleet, and snow here in PA and have no issues 👍
Great video very thorough review just wondering what do you think of the field of view especially for wildlife. Again thankyou for another great video.
Just subscribed to your channel and I absolutely love it!! Your video on stripping corn from the cob is amazing!! Also love your reviews on trail cams! Thank you.
Hey! Great video and thank you really much! Probably gonna but it! But i got 2 questions about it and would really like to get an answer from an ower of the cam: 1. If the animal is lets say about 15 meters away from the cam, will the cam still detect it and send me an notification? 2. Is there an model without the solar panel (with an lithium battery or something) but with the exact same features? Thank you!
The detection range is listed at 33’ but I have found it to be better than that. 45’ is closer max range. The Reolink GO has a removable lithium battery and functions the same as the GO PT just doesn’t have the pan tilt option.
I just want to say, this was a very cool video. That camera is amazing. The way you edited this video with the various video clips, and the bucks was excellent. Really good video!
Great video. Please forgive this tech question from a 70 year old. I have a Verizon phone. Can I still buy a Freedom Sim Card (or similar) and use with my Verizon android phone? Verizon is $12/month (too much).
Thanks for watching. It makes no difference which provider your cell phone carrier is. I no longer recommend FreedomPop because they changed their services and plans. I updated the description to Eiotclub which is the carrier I now recommend for the Reolink’s.
Thanks for watching. I’m not familiar with that carrier. I’ve been pleased with Eiotclub amzn.to/3kZdnSl They work in my Reolink’s and have reasonable rates. Keep in mind their data plans are sold as the total data. In other words if you buy the 12 GB of data for 360 days, it’ll be 12gb total during the duration of 360 days, NOT 12gb per month for 360 days.
Thanks for watching! The solar panel has kept up for the most part. I’m running several of these and only one has struggled in the winter. I’ve charged that battery with the charger one time 👍
I don’t know how I missed this one Dave but it popped up in my feed today as I was watching a video on the Tactacam Reveal cellular camera so since I can never get enough of watching you describe the many cameras you review, thought I give it a look even though it’s a year old. First off, all things considered this looks like a pretty great camera outfit . Secondly what the heck do you use for minerals on that Stump, never seen so many bucks in one frame …. they’re coming out in droves to hit that stump, what ever you use…they like it ! Good luck as the season continues
came across your videos while looking for security use cameras , have to say they are by far some of the most concise and informative that i have seen . the question i have is, can they be used without the ability to accessed via cell phone. i am looking for a camera that has the ability to store on a sim card and these seem to be perfect if that is feasible . again great video
Thanks for watching and for the compliment. Yes these cameras will stored the recorded videos onto a micro SD card. You can pull the SD card and view the files on a computer etc 👍
It's a pity that this camera doesn't have the two way audio, it would have been a the best universal surveillance camera for the price. Thank you for uploading this video!
Thanks for watching. The camera does have two way audio. You can choose to speak live via the app or you can also set up a recorded message that will be played when the camera sensor is triggered 👍
@@HuntingFarmerOfficial 😲 I looked everywhere and I couldn't find a single demo about that feature, not even on google. Thanks for telling me though! Kind regards, Dan George
Here is a video where i discuss the custom message ruclips.net/video/2M509aXYGxY/видео.html (that segment starts at 10:19 in case you want to jump directly to that spot). Like I mentioned earlier, you can also talk live through the camera. If someone is standing in front of the camera you can hold a conversation through the microphone and speaker while you could be a thousand miles away (pretty cool) 👍
Great video! I just purchased my first cellular cam and wish I had watched this video first. I have been running regular trail cams to "keep an eye" on a more expensive set up that I place in the field, and this looks like it would be the perfect cam for what I am doing. Do you know how well the Freedompop cards work off the AT&T towers for signal? Living in rural Montana, about the only thing we have for service here is Verizon and AT&T...
Thanks for watching! I believe the FreedomPop cards use ATT towers. FreedomPop prepaid cards are hard to find currently. Not sure what’s going on? There is a full list of providers that are compatible with Reolink on Reolink’s website 👍
I dang near bought a cellular trail camera a few hours before seeing this video. Sure glad I saw this prior to buying. My Reolink Go PT will be in my mailbox tomorrow. I did buy a 2gig a month sim card from T-Mobile today, the cost is $10.00 a month in my area of North Idaho. Thanks for the video.
Ha I think you may have sold me on this .. My first concern was the amount of videos you could get on 1 gig of data, but you don’t seem to be concerned about that at all due to the compression. The videos are good quality. I would like to implement this option as a trail cam and security feature at my house since it’s not feasible to hardwire cameras. Next step is to watch your video setting the other camera up. Do you have any exact specs on the amount of video time you can get on 1 gig?
Thanks for watching. I don’t know the exact data calculation but I think there may be some numbers on the Reolink’s website. Of course every situation will be slightly different but I easily get away with 1GB. Remember there are numerous things you can do to minimize data usage. Number one being the bitrate settings for the camera during setup. The camera doesn’t use hardly any data taking the video and sending you the notification. Data usage comes as you watch back the video or view the live feed. To save even more data I rarely watch the whole video via the app, as soon as I see the jest of the newest recording I stop the playback to conserve data. If I want the full videos I’ll pull the SD card out of the camera and watch them for free on my pc 👍
Based on your videos, (Thank You) I ordered my first Reolink go pt. It arrived today. My only major question / concern... theft in the woods. I have only one other trail camera, and it has a metal box with a lock and a cable lock to attach it to my tree stand. What suggestions (if any) do you have for making a more secure mounting system for the Reolink go pt out in the woods, where there are other hunters. Thanks, Mark Bohland, next door in Ohio
Have fun with your new cam!! I (and hopefully other sportsman) have suggested a way to lock or cable it! Maybe if enough people suggest it they will listen...that and the color 😁 For now, I just mount mine at 10’ high with the aid of climbing sticks. Getting it up outta normal eye level helps (the thief also needs to come back with a climbing device which improves your chances of getting good video of them stealing it) 👍
@@HuntingFarmerOfficial Thanks. I'm wondering if using "lock tight" or something else on the threads as I screw the camera to the mount would be a good idea or not????
Another excellent video Dave. I think you figured a good niche with all that trail camera stuff. And your trail cam highlights videos fit nicely. Good luck buddy!
Good review, im intrigued, couple questions, roughly how many videos are you getting on a single charge? Second, how many video will a 32gb sd card hold? Third, whats the largest sd card that the reolink will accept? Thanks, look forward to hearing from you.
Thanks for watching! I change out my sd cards approximately once a month. I usually range from 200-500 videos in that time. I use 32gb cards and don’t think I’ve ever used even half the space on the card. The Reolink GO PT will accept up to a 64gb card. I have the solar panel (it comes with the GO PT) connected to my camera. I have never had to charge the battery. The panel keeps it fully charged 👍
5:00 The Skypoint Link-S is $199 and is cellular with built-in solar and lithium battery. So there is at least one competitor in that price range. But, that is an incredible option with pan and tilt and the annual data cost... Nice video!
Thanks for watching! Some of the other things that really make these cameras unique and unlike any other is it’s smart sensor. It begins recording when it sees motion and continues to record until the object (animal, person, etc) leaves. Also this camera sends a notification within a few seconds which allows you (if you want) to log into the camera’s live feed and watch whatever your cameras is seeing live! I don’t know of any other trail camera in the world that can do the two above mentioned things 👍
Great video. I am seriously considering this camera option, and I am also very interested in the phone plan you mentioend. However, when using the link provided, I only see it available for $55+ per year. I believe you mentioned getting it for $43? Also, I noticed they have a free option for 200Mb/month. Would you consider that a viable option for this camera? Thanks for putting out such great content.
I think FreedomPop saw my video and upped the price 😂 Seems the price does vary from time to time. Good news is when you find a good price card ($39.99-43.99) you can stock up and then activate them as needed 👍
I have never tried the free option but 200mb wouldn’t be enough for me. I have however used the 3 month (1GB a month) option when I didn’t want to commit to the 12 month plan 👍
@@algengler9737 it depends on which cellular carrier you use. I use the FreedomPop prepaid data cards. When the prepaid time is over (either 3 months or 12 months depending on which amount I purchased) I do discard that SIM card and put in a new one. Hope this helps 👍
I'm a little confused, is the phone plan to provide the LTE (instead of wi-fi)? I'm a little technically challenged. I do have internet via an ethernet cable, but would prefer not to use that. Thanks.
Just found these videos on the cameras. I’ve been using bushnells for years and they have many quirks and I would not rate them very high. They take many still photos of nothing but the shadows moving across the ground. Do the reo’s take a lot of false videos? That wasn’t really mentioned in the video. I’m very interested in these ptz’s as my next trail cams. Looking forward to hearing back. And what SIM cards are you using now? Looking at the options.
Thanks for watching. The Reolink can false triggers if there is movement in front of it (blowing trees, leaves, branches etc) but you do have complete adjustment of the pir sensor sensitivity in the settings. I personally get virtually zero false triggers. I use the EIOTCLUB sims in most of my Reolink’s. It works well. 👍
Ok awesome system👍,but my question is whats the motion range (distance)it can pickup to send a message to your phone if someone or any movement in front of it?
Thanks for watching. The sensor detects motion out to 35-40’ in my experience. Yes, when the camera senses movement it will immediately send you a notification no matter where you are. Here is another video I did on the sensor distance ruclips.net/video/2M509aXYGxY/видео.html
They are made for outdoors and mine have help up well in hot and cold. The sensor will false trigger if there is lots of wind but you can adjust the sensor sensitivity to help reduce false triggers
Would you still say this is the best cellular trail camera today? I have both a bushnell and tactacam and must say both have cons. This still seams like a great option but want to hear your thoughts if there’s something better in this price range.
Thanks for watching. There are many options now compared to when they first came out. Here is a recent comparison I did. ruclips.net/video/Woru6GQrmeg/видео.html I still like the Reolink/Keen cameras (although no camera is perfect)
Thanks for watching! It is possible to get false triggers but you have the ability to change the sensitivity setting from 1-100% which allows you to fine tune your camera to eliminate false triggers. With that said, you still want to point your camera in a direction that won’t have many moving objects 👍
You made an exhaustive review.Thank you. There is only a question i still have. Are infrared leds for night vision really invisible ? or they make the typical dim red light in the dark. Thank you
Thanks for watching my video. The IR on this camera could be seen as a dim red light if you look directly at it. It’s by no means obvious but at the same time not invisible to the human eye. 👍
Great videos keep them coming. You pay more up front with this setup But I have 3 cell deer cams and it cost more for just photos. AND not that great of photos I must say. Yes I had to buy battery's solar panels and ever thing to make them work. Where I'm at we have Version and AT&T mostly. I use version on my phone. Do you know if your cell card will work with Version carrier ? Should not matter right. I could not find a card even close to the card you are using. Price wise.
Just a update. Version card wont work. My cell cams use Version and have a great signal. Problem is I know cell towers carry other carriers. I am still looking into it. Would love to put some of these cam on my land. I know carriers carry sub carriers. It is hard to to figure out who. Still looking into it. Trying to find out if AT&T is a carrier for your type of card. would like to know before spending that kind of money. It comes down to trying to find out if that card will work here in North East Alabama.
I 99% sure FreedomPop uses ATT towers 👍 I recently had someone contact me to say they got their Reolink Go PT camera to operate on their Verizon SIM card. I have not personally tried it.
@@HuntingFarmerOfficial That is what I found. The FreedomPop is the cheapest way to go that I can find also. I'm not looking for it to work on a Version card but the cheapest card that will work in this area. Think you found it. Thanks. I was just checking to see if it would work for me here. Looks like it will. Again great videos.
@@basilkey2949 thanks for the encouragement! I have numerous Reolink cams running on FreedomPop. Definitely the cheapest route I have found. Couldn’t be happier 👍
Thanks for watching! Yes the GO PT operates with cellular data and you must install a cellular SIM card and have a data plan while the Argus PT operates with WiFi and the camera must be mounted in proximity of your WiFi router. 👍
Thanks for watching! The videos can be downloaded. You can also share the camera’s footage with friends and family. The videos can be uploaded to RUclips 👍
Hi again Dave. Explain what you mean when you you refer to watching saved videos thru the app in the "compressed dumbed down version". Are they shorter version videos vs what's saved on the card or poorer video quality? Thanks
The camera records videos and saves two files for each video. One high quality, one lower quality. The lower quality file is the one you will view via the app. This keeps the data consumption lower. You can set up the exact quality of the above mentioned videos in the cameras settings. Go to “display” and then select “quality “ to see the available options for the videos. 👍
Very cool video! The thought of using a security camera is a great idea by the sound of it! The data plan on that is awesome! I wish the couple cell cams I picked up this year had plans anywhere close to that. Definitely something to think about!
@@HuntingFarmerOfficial Thanks! I've had a whole bunch of stuff going on here lately that it's difficult to find the time. I try to watch whenever I can though.
I looked up the Reolink go pt an the only problem I see in it is the triggering range. I states only 33 feet. That is not very far compared to the game cameras on the market. I'm on the fence.....
If you don't mind, can you please tell me, can multiple cameras be interconnected, what I mean: is one sim card sufficient for 2-3 cameras? Kind regards, Dan
Thanks for watching. You will need a separate SIM card for each camera. You may be able to put those sims on one cell plan but again each cam needs it’s own sim. 👍
Can you use 2 cameras on like a shared planned bc myself & my buddy have a couple hunting spots & are curious about using these? Also will both cameras send the pics to both of our phones
Hi,my friend. We are looking for reviewers to test trail cameras on Amazon. If you are interested in it, Please tell us, we will guide you to place an order and get this product for free.Thank you!
Thanks for watching! It’s doesn’t come in any other color at this point but maybe if we all complain enough that’ll change 😁 Here is a custom camo I did on mine... ruclips.net/video/v8xWqi1grc4/видео.html
@@HuntingFarmerOfficial Thank you for taking the time to reply, I think the camera is awesome, all the features you pointed out separates itself from other cameras. A little Pricey but you made some valid points. On the white nothing a little paint can't take care of. I will drop a note to the manufacturer requesting color options. Very informative video great job thank you.
If there obstacles in front of the sensor there is the good possibility you will get false triggers. You do have the option of adjusting the sensor’s sensitivity at anytime via the app. I suggest you still try to avoid blowing branches, grass etc
Can you hook up a signal booster with this camera. The area where I would install this camera has poor cell service. The neighbors said AT&T signal works well in the neighborhood. I'm wondering if you can hook up a we boost antenna to the unit. Thanks such a through review. I learned a lot.
Thanks for watching my video! That is a great question! I have been considering the same thing. I would like to have a better antenna or a remote antenna (maybe place the antenna 20’ away from the cam to achieve better reception) for places in the woods without great signal. I’m sure it possible with the correct connections. 👍
@@HuntingFarmerOfficial I also wanted to ask you about how cell phone service is connected to the camera. Can you use any cell phone service to supply the signal and data to the camera or how do you get a data plan to connect up with camera?
You can select a cellular carrier of your choice. There is a list of compatible carriers on Reolink’s website. The carrier you choose must have reception in the area the camera is placed. You will need a data plan from the cellular carrier you choose. You must also get a SIM card from the cellular carrier. The SIM card will be inserted into the camera and that’s where your camera will get it’s signal/data from. Much like a cell phone 👍
@@HuntingFarmerOfficial I purchased the camera and cannot get the camera to work with the Freedom POP card. I keep getting a verbal message from the camera saying that I need to update the APN. Do you know anything about that? The other question I have is do I have to use a micro SD card of 16 or 32 GB? I ended up purchasing the Reolink GO instead of the PT. Thanks and I will await your reply.
Oh wow. Love the scanning feature on it. Great price as well for it. Always great to move the camera view, the pan and tilt feature is awesome. Not sure why it’s a white colour, kind of stands out and visible. Great overview of it, I’m very impressed.
Hi, are you still very high on these cameras over conventional cellulars? I also might have missed it but didn't see much about the battery life and are they Verizon only?
I am still impressed with them. I’ve had several of them out 24/7 for about 1 1/2 yrs now. I don’t believe any other camera comes close. I have the Reolink solar panels with each camera and that is what keeps them charged and operating year around. They do not operate with Verizon. They work with any carrier that uses Att/T Mobile towers. I use Eiotclub SIM cards (link in the description) 👍
I was able to setup the email alerts today and it sends an email with a picture thumbnail of the video it took. Feel free to reach out through my email if you need further information. My email is in the description of the video 👍
The Reolink GO PT comes with a built in lithium ion battery. The camera also comes with a solar panel. You can choose to charge the battery periodically with a supplied charger or keep it continually charged with the solar panel. They do not recommend using any other type of charger/power supply. I have no trouble with the battery staying fully charged with the supplied solar panel (but it will obviously depend on how much sunlight your location receives and how many videos the camera takes each day)
One year later, is this still the best cellular trail cam that you have? I have one and I've had one issue with the software and spent 2 hours on the phone correcting the issue. I had to remove the sim card and install it in my computer and recreate a directory and I'm not the most technically advanced guy on the planet! lol
Thanks for watching. They are advertised as 30 or 33’ if I remember correctly. I’ve found they are slightly better than that. Here is a video I did on the detection range: ruclips.net/video/2M509aXYGxY/видео.html
Thanks for watching! It is still working. I’ve had it out 24/7 since I got it and and have had no problems. FreedomPop cellular has changed its plans and services since the filming of that video but there are numerous other carriers still available. As far as distance, mine seems to work well out to approximately 40’ Here is another video I did on the distance: ruclips.net/video/2M509aXYGxY/видео.html
What cell network does it use? What is signal like compared to cell phones in your area? I use Verizon and where I hunt it's low signal and my cell camera i have was about the same. Cool idea though
It works with various carriers of your choice. I run prepaid data SIM cards from FreedomPop. I believe FreedomPop may use ATT towers?? Generally the Reolink camera gets slightly better service than my phone. The Reolink GO PT does has slightly better service vs the Reolink GO (the PT has an antenna and that must make a difference) 👍

Very nice setup. My issue is, it may not last very long if it's on public land.
That is a legitimate concern! Besides placing it high, they do lack security features such as cable lock capability etc. One good thing is you should have video of whoever messed with/stole your cam 😁

@@HuntingFarmerOfficial You kidding me! it takes a lot of time to put one of these things and produce high quality videos so Big Thanks you man
Great video very thorough review just wondering what do you think of the field of view especially for wildlife.
Again thankyou for another great video.
Here is a video I did that might elaborate on that a bit more

Wow Dave. I just saw your Discount Code and I will be calling Amazon to ensure you get credit for showing the Reolink camera. Thanks.
Got it. Thanks Don! I really do appreciate the support to my channel and as a friend 👍
im glad you posted this -- i currently use spartan - i also want to put one of these up at the hunt camp
I certainly enjoy the Reolink’s! Thanks for watching. It’s appreciated 👍
Just subscribed to your channel and I absolutely love it!! Your video on stripping corn from the cob is amazing!! Also love your reviews on trail cams! Thank you.
Thank you for the encouragement. I appreciate your support 👍
Hey! Great video and thank you really much! Probably gonna but it!
But i got 2 questions about it and would really like to get an answer from an ower of the cam:
Thanks for taking the time to watch and comment! I appreciate your encouragement 👍
Any idea if it works on a Visible simm card? Great video, thanks for posting
Thanks for watching. I’m not familiar with that carrier. I’ve been pleased with Eiotclub amzn.to/3kZdnSl
They work in my Reolink’s and have reasonable rates. Keep in mind their data plans are sold as the total data. In other words if you buy the 12 GB of data for 360 days, it’ll be 12gb total during the duration of 360 days, NOT 12gb per month for 360 days.
Great review, thank you. Has the solar panel consistantly recharged the camera?
Thanks for watching Don. Redmond mineral….cows love it too 😁👍
Really enjoyed this review. This is like therapy for weeks where I can’t get out in the woods. That bear was crazy!!!
I appreciate the encouragement! Thanks for watching 👍
came across your videos while looking for security use cameras , have to say they are by far some of the most concise and informative that i have seen . the question i have is, can they be used without the ability to accessed via cell phone. i am looking for a camera that has the ability to store on a sim card and these seem to be perfect if that is feasible . again great video
Thanks for watching and for the compliment. Yes these cameras will stored the recorded videos onto a micro SD card. You can pull the SD card and view the files on a computer etc 👍
Another great video! What deer attractant did you place on the stump?
Thanks for watching. The stump had a salt block on it years ago. 👍
Great review!! I love the idea of video trail cam! Especially unlimited length vids! Seems like a great value! Very nice! 💯🔥
Thanks for watching Dustin! I appreciate your support and encouragement 👍
Thanks,
Mark Bohland, next door in Ohio
Have fun with your new cam!! I (and hopefully other sportsman) have suggested a way to lock or cable it! Maybe if enough people suggest it they will listen...that and the color 😁 For now, I just mount mine at 10’ high with the aid of climbing sticks. Getting it up outta normal eye level helps (the thief also needs to come back with a climbing device which improves your chances of getting good video of them stealing it) 👍
@@HuntingFarmerOfficial
Thanks.
I'm wondering if using "lock tight" or something else on the threads as I screw the camera to the mount would be a good idea or not????
I’d be afraid to do that. You might need to get the threads apart for yourself and it could give you problems??
Another excellent video Dave. I think you figured a good niche with all that trail camera stuff. And your trail cam highlights videos fit nicely. Good luck buddy!
Thanks for watching! I really enjoy trail cameras and all the possibilities they open up!! 👍
I like how big the solar panel is. Far bigger than on the Link-S that I mentioned. Would probably do much better keeping the unit charged.
@@HuntingFarmerOfficial Activate as needed? If I only have one camera, does that mean I have to put in a new card when the data is used up?
You sold me. Jim Fisher in Missouri thank you
Thanks for watching! I believe you’ll enjoy your new cam 👍
You could take it apart and hydro dip the case and back of panel in any camo pattern or just sponge dab camo on it..
Thanks for watching and for the suggestion 👍
Ok awesome system👍,but my question is whats the motion range (distance)it can pickup to send a message to your phone if someone or any movement in front of it?
Thanks for watching. The sensor detects motion out to 35-40’ in my experience. Yes, when the camera senses movement it will immediately send you a notification no matter where you are. Here is another video I did on the sensor distance
ruclips.net/video/2M509aXYGxY/видео.html
how does it hold up with weather? does it trigger with wind? moving grass/ branches
They are made for outdoors and mine have help up well in hot and cold. The sensor will false trigger if there is lots of wind but you can adjust the sensor sensitivity to help reduce false triggers
@@HuntingFarmerOfficial thanks
Awesome, thanks, I have been looking for something like this for the cabin.
It would work great for a cabin and you and remotely pan around the property to cover more area 👍
very good . never dull moment and easy to listen.
Thanks for watching! I appreciate your encouragement 👍
Would you still say this is the best cellular trail camera today? I have both a bushnell and tactacam and must say both have cons. This still seams like a great option but want to hear your thoughts if there’s something better in this price range.
Thanks for watching. There are many options now compared to when they first came out. Here is a recent comparison I did. ruclips.net/video/Woru6GQrmeg/видео.html
I still like the Reolink/Keen cameras (although no camera is perfect)
Added some mossy oak camo. Makes it even a better security/trail cam.
Great idea! Was it adhesive type camo?
Great video. Does the camera activate the recording of video when the wind blows leaves and grass and so forth? Same question for snow falling.
Thanks for watching! It is possible to get false triggers but you have the ability to change the sensitivity setting from 1-100% which allows you to fine tune your camera to eliminate false triggers. With that said, you still want to point your camera in a direction that won’t have many moving objects 👍
Never heard of this camera does about everything. Very cool camera
I really enjoy how well they work! Thanks for watching. It’s appreciated 👍
@@HuntingFarmerOfficial It would be nice to see the night time video. Night time video is usually very low quality because of the light limitations.
@@davidshore6630 I’m uploading a new video later today that will have many nighttime footage examples 👍
Yes, it is the best out there.
Thanks for watching! I appreciate it. It sounds like you may have one? 😁
I 99% sure FreedomPop uses ATT towers 👍
I recently had someone contact me to say they got their Reolink Go PT camera to operate on their Verizon SIM card.
Great video. Do you know what the difference between the reolink go pt and the argus pt is? Thanks
Thanks for watching! Yes the GO PT operates with cellular data and you must install a cellular SIM card and have a data plan while the Argus PT operates with WiFi and the camera must be mounted in proximity of your WiFi router. 👍
@@HuntingFarmerOfficial thanks for the reply enjoy your videos 👍🏻
Im gonna really look into these! Id paint it or use camo tape but dang those are great images

Thanks for watching! The videos can be downloaded. You can also share the camera’s footage with friends and family. The videos can be uploaded to RUclips 👍
I have 2 Reolink Go. I would love to add the PT linked to the Go. Is this possible? BTW Great info!
Thanks for watching. Yes you can add GO PT. Both models work on the same app. I also have GO’s and GO PT’s 👍
One ☝️ Helluva good honest review & presentation. Thank You 🙏. 🍻 👊 🇺🇸
Thanks for watching and for the encouragement 👍
Thanks for watching Chip! I sure do appreciate it! I hope all is well...I miss your content 👍

Thanks for watching. You will need a separate SIM card for each camera. You may be able to put those sims on one cell plan but again each cam needs it’s own sim. 👍

How does the motion sensor get on with branches and other obstacles.
If there obstacles in front of the sensor there is the good possibility you will get false triggers. You do have the option of adjusting the sensor’s sensitivity at anytime via the app. I suggest you still try to avoid blowing branches, grass etc
This is brilliant..nice job 👍
Thank you. I appreciate you watching 👍
I may have missed it in the video but do you know about how far the detection range is?
My cams seem to detect movement out to 50-75’ Of course because they have a wide angle lens, the closer the camera is to the action, the better 👍
Awesome trail cam review bud!!! Amazing video as usual ! Thanks for sharing !!
Thanks Wyatt! I appreciate your support and encouragement 👍
Thanks for that information. 😀
Great review Dave. The video footage looks great. You got a good buck in there.
Thanks Titus! Have a great day!! 👍
Oh wow. Love the scanning feature on it. Great price as well for it. Always great to move the camera view, the pan and tilt feature is awesome. Not sure why it’s a white colour, kind of stands out and visible. Great overview of it, I’m very impressed.

Awesome review wish I had seen this before I ordered mine. Going to use it with my Hogg boss gate 👍
Thanks for watching! I appreciate it! Sounds like you’ll have a good setup 👍
Did you succeed in getting email alerts of motion triggered video? If so, an explanation would be useful on the .process and how to access the video.
I did not. I'll have to check into that...
I was able to setup the email alerts today and it sends an email with a picture thumbnail of the video it took. Feel free to reach out through my email if you need further information. My email is in the description of the video 👍
What is the battery life? Can it be connected to a large 12 volt external battery?Maybe I missed it in the video.
The Reolink GO PT comes with a built in lithium ion battery. The camera also comes with a solar panel. You can choose to charge the battery periodically with a supplied charger or keep it continually charged with the solar panel. They do not recommend using any other type of charger/power supply. I have no trouble with the battery staying fully charged with the supplied solar panel (but it will obviously depend on how much sunlight your location receives and how many videos the camera takes each day)
Is there an app included to remote from cell phone ?
One year later, is this still the best cellular trail cam that you have? I have one and I've had one issue with the software and spent 2 hours on the phone correcting the issue. I had to remove the sim card and install it in my computer and recreate a directory and I'm not the most technically advanced guy on the planet! lol
Yes. Over a year later and still my favorite! I’ll be doing an update video soon! 😁👍
Good review. How far away can this direct motion?
Thanks for watching. They are advertised as 30 or 33’ if I remember correctly. I’ve found they are slightly better than that. Here is a video I did on the detection range:
ruclips.net/video/2M509aXYGxY/видео.html
Can you talk through these cams from your phone to scare people away?thanks
Yes, you can do that
Is it still working?? And what is the maximum distance for motion detect to trigger it on ???
Pretty cool. Im gonna get it when I grow up.
Haha!! Keep waiting....it’ll happen 😂
Thanks for watching Matt 👍
Dave how is the signal pickup with this camera? I use a WingHome 4G camera right now, but it is giving me issues.
The Reolink GO PT pick up cell signal better than my cell phone does 👍
How well dose it hold up in extreme weather. Lots of rain?
Thanks for watching. The cameras are built to be used outdoors. Mine have held up perfectly and they have been out 24/7 for well over a year now 👍
