I like to think of the film November Man being the unofficial Bond retirement film for Pierce Brosnan, for those that haven't seen it Pierce plays a retired CIA wet worker
I'd be up for another Brosnan Bond. I've always said that with playing a role, it's less about age than whether an actor seems like they could get away with it, and while it might be bit different than the usual Bond films, I could see Brosnan pulling it off. I would certainly be more hyped for that than whatever they've actually got planned for Bond next, which, based on what they've said they've looking to do, and what they've already done in the Craig era, I am truly dreading.
Henry Cavill is the only one on the list remotely close to Bond. Pierce when he did November Man definitely proved he could have been doing Bond all along in the more darker gritty manner which is definitely the direction he wanted the franchise to go. During the Craig Era of Bond, I was really hoping Clive Owen would have been Bond instead.
Bring back pierce brosnan, end the series. Let him ride out into the sunset. Let it be a better never say never again. They’re going to be ended the mission impossible series, why not tie up the lose ends of the original James Bond universe
Uhm actually, you should watch November Man. To me it was a very nice conclusion to Brosnon's spy genre. It could be a very cool passing the torch experience and making the 00 type of agents being phased out like they did with Top Gun Maverick.
Well.............. It would be great and different........ But, it all depends on what is being talked about behind the scenes............ everyone has their favorite Bond---- their guy........ We have to just wait.........
Do Die Another Day Redux. Where after being captured in the opening sequence. Bond spends 25 years in Jail. Robinson is now Prime Minister & M is senile. The elderly Bond goes on a vengeance mission.
Never say never again wasn't bad per se, but Connery was 50 (!) when he played that role of an ageing Bond. Brosnan at 70 is a stretch. It could be done, but with Bond in a mentor Role, or something along the lions of R.E.D.
Yeah, No. He had his time. Started strong, ended bad. The 'old Bond' was done with 'Never say Never again'. They just need to leave Bond alone for 10 years
Brosnan should come back for one last film as they search for some one who is extremely handsome like Roger Moore, but young. Some one who like Moore & Brosnan love playing Bond, because this shows in their performance. Cross Dresser Craig could never reach Brosnan's level, forget reaching the fox himself, Roger Moore. The way Moore talks, moves, acts embodies the English spy. Connery was too scottish, was better for casting as some one from Scotland Yard, not an English spy. Moore was perfect.
As much as I loved him in the role and hated the unceremonious way he was given the boot, I would have to say no he should not be brought back. He is simply far too old.
There should be a lot of inspiration to be taken from good literature which might suit the story for a one-shot Brosnan return. To date, my favorite spy drama is the BBC TV dramatization of Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy, in which Alec Guinness as George Smiley has been let go from spy work, only to get called back in to try to clean up a terrible mess, as well a deep personal betrayal. A similar character is Daniel Silva's Gabriel Allon, an allegedly retired Israeli spymaster who keeps getting sucked into new adventures. Finally, while my own political views are just about the photographic negative of those of William F. Buckley, Jr., I have to acknowledge that Buckley's fictional CIA man, Blackford Oakes, began successfully in 1952 and kept having adventures on into the 1990s. I'm not very impressed by declarations of "We still have what it takes out in the field," like the RED movies, and would feel better about a story emphasizing Bond's knowledge, experience, and cunning, while still having some action. Come to think of it, Dr. No and From Russia with Love are fairly mild action movies by modern standards, yet still classic. Brosnan in a final thoughtful and dignified interpretation of an elder Bond could be an absolute delight.
Definitely. But not just that.. bring back Bond.. they killed Bond with Daniel Craig. His age is not a problem between stunt doubles and CGI and AI they can pull it off.
Brosnan should not be used again IN ANY WAY. He was the perfect person to play Bond at his moment but he has major limitations as an actor. If he’s still playing James Bond, he needs to be some sort of Liam Neeson, assassin/ sharpshooter, and I don’t think he’s up to it. If he gets cast as M, he boxes in the potential of the character since everyone watching will expect that he is the same James Bond from Goldeneye etc.
I agree, the next Bond movie should bring Brosnan back & clean the excrement that Cross Dresser Craig left, when he went all feelins & blew up like the generation from 1985-2005, called the millennials. What a dork.
While he was fine in Casino Royale I never thought he as an actor brought any kind of unique presence or performance to Bond. I enjoy watching older Bonds just to see them act but Craig at best delivers the part. I do acknowledge though that the producers wanted him a Bond that was dull and dark so it isn't entirely his fault.
We need to go back to a cool Bond in his 30's. I'm not a massive fan of Aaron Taylor-Johnson, but with a decent director he could probably pull it off. It was also make the age-gap between Bond and obligatory Bond-girl less odd or implausible. As for Brosnan, I think there is about as much chance as him getting the keys to the DB10 to Graham Norton. But at least at his age Brosnan's beard would look more realistic than the one in Die Another Day.
Both Roger Moore & I tap Henry Cavill as the new Bond. They should bring Brosnan back with Cavill as his protege. After Craig's cross dressing disaster where he felt his womanly feelings so intensely, he blew himself up, this film should clean up the excrement Craig left behind. Brosnan should point out how lame Craig was & make fun of him through out the movie. Brosnan should point out how Craig was born between 1985-2005. Cavill should then take over as 007, at the end, as Brosnan retires from service, after one last bang. But Brosnan must survive, coz Brosnan is not lame, he is a legend.
I like the idea…beed something to get people to the movie theaters… Could have it where someones trying to get him after hes been out of that world kinda like Daniel Craig
There was a 70s John Wayne western, Big Jake, where the recurring line from the various bad guys was... I thought you were dead. Something like that might work better than talking about how old he is. Also killing off the hero was used in Logan, Avengers, Star Wars etc. The Craig run of movies were as derivative as anything seen in the Moore era. But much less fun.
Which Bond did get a great swansong movie? Connery in Diamonds Are Forever.... one of the worst Bond movies imo, or was it Never Say Never Again, an okayish remake of Thunderball. Lazenby only ended up making one movie, which had too much cheese in it considering the serious nature of the story. Moore in A View To A Kill..... decent but certainly not his best. I remember Dalton's License To Kill to be very good, but at the time he was going to make more Bond movies which sadly never happened. Brosnan's Die Another Day, I liked parts of it, like the North Korean chase scene, and disliked other parts, especially the bad over the top cgi scenes. Haven't been up to date with Craig's latest Bond job though, must still watch that one.
I liked Brosnan as 007, but he's too old now. I actually thought that Daniel Craig did a fantastic job as Bond, his portrayal was the most realistic and closest to Sean Connery's than any of the other actors. It's time to bring in a younger actor that can carry on the role for multiple films. With that said, I truly hope that the next Bond is not some woke DEI version as some people have been hoping for. Otherwise it would be better to just let Bond die as per the last movie, and have the franchise end there.
Craig is dead, MI6 brings back the previous 007 because nobody does it better. James Bond is a cover name for 007s. Brosnan is teamed with new Bond candidates. It ends with Brosnan choosing the new Bond
Brosnan could be a Bond at the tail end of his career, maybe even retired. There could be someone from his past who threatens Mi6 secrets and they bring him back as a consultant, but he could end up going rogue one last time to solve the case using modern Mi6 equipment... that he doesn't bring back in 'perfect working order' like the old Q always asked him to do 🤷♂️

Great takes, sir!
Old man bond - (as a one-off or a trilogy. Can't be as bad as the Craig era)
Hell yeah! 👍😎
NEVER SAY NEVER AGAIN TO PIERCE BROSNAN . YES TO THE RETURN
They just need to leave Bond alone for 10 years
Clooney as the bad guy 😻
Brosnan was The right Bond at The right time.
Absolutely Cold War James Bond outnif retirement a Casino Royale tuoe movie without a reboot 😮
Cold war is back, unfortunately. I never liked this female M anyway.
As much as I loved him in the role and hated the unceremonious way he was given the boot, I would have to say no he should not be brought back. He is simply far too old.
Bringing back...one more!
I would be there opening day if Brosnan came back, but I doubt they will gamble with him.
Though James Bond loves to gamble, the producers at EON do not sadly.
Did we learn nothing from Roger Moore?
How about a remake of never say never again....... And a remake of live and let die.........
YES! The sooner the better. He will blast boring Craig off the screen.
YES!!!!!
If this was 2014 I'd say yes..now is a big no
An older Bond is very cool. Connery was great in NSNA. Brosnan was a victim of weak, cheesy scripts.
I don't know. I'm not in favoring of looking back. Perhaps we should just look forward and get a new actor.
I disagree, Brosnan is better than Cross Dresser Craig. Feel more. It amuses us.
No. He was good aa bond. My third favourite. Leave his bond films as good memories.
I agree, the next Bond movie should bring Brosnan back & clean the excrement that Cross Dresser Craig left, when he went all feelins & blew up like the generation from 1985-2005, called the millennials. What a dork.
Unpopular opinion, but Daniel Craig was awful as Bond.
Definitely unlikely he is accurate to the book character like Dalton closet
No he's in his 70s. doesn't need a ten minute video
I like the idea…beed something to get people to the movie theaters…
Could have it where someones trying to get him after hes been out of that world kinda like Daniel Craig
Very true, and that's a great idea!
Old man Bond would be sick
yes. the alpha bond. the fucker bond. not the daddy bond
Oh yeah, I want Ricky Gervais to be the next Bond!
As James Bond? No. As M? Maybe.
Agree🙏🏻
Thanks for the feedback!
Craig is dead, MI6 brings back the previous 007 because nobody does it better. James Bond is a cover name for 007s. Brosnan is teamed with new Bond candidates. It ends with Brosnan choosing the new Bond
Yes
Brosnan could be a Bond at the tail end of his career, maybe even retired. There could be someone from his past who threatens Mi6 secrets and they bring him back as a consultant, but he could end up going rogue one last time to solve the case using modern Mi6 equipment... that he doesn't bring back in 'perfect working order' like the old Q always asked him to do 🤷♂️
Love this!
