That Daylight mallet conversion is pretty neat, Mr. Corey! With the extra heavy passenger trains during WWII, the concept may have possibly been considered by the SP, can only speculate on that. I do like your creativity with ,"what if" scenarios! I also like the can motor with flywheel, makes for smoother operation.
