In my opinion, Super Mario 3d World has the best ghost houses. I especially love the post-game ghost house where it resembles a ghost house in world 3 but it uses that to completely mess with the player
As someone who normally hates Ghost Houses, Big Boo's Haunt from Mario64, it's not only my fav Ghost House, but my fav Mario World of all time (out of the regular games). I always look forward to this world. I think one reason I started liking it so much was it was the first game I could get ride of all of the ghosts. And it was a fun world to explore with all of its secrets. It was my go to level if I wanted to get some lives because it's the level where you can get the most coins (I think you can get 200 coins, and that's 4 lives right there). I felt like an idiot for my brother had to be the one to tell me to use those peppers on King Boo in Super Mario Sunshine lol. I have a love/hate relationship with the Ghost Galaxy in Mario Galaxy for I either love a challenge or hate it lol. I hate the race against the clock ones *glares at the 100 purple coin challenge*, but the boss of this level is one of my fav boss battles, heck I normally hate Daredevil comet challenges and I loved this one lol.
Great video! Boo has been my favourite character for many years now and while I hate having to defeat him in some situations to complete the level I definitely enjoy seeing them in the ghost house levels!

For me, those levels were really annoying. They were autoscrollers, you could only see half the screen, and they're just not that fun.

Yeah, I don’t think Super Mario Odyssey has any “Spooky-themed” levels. I think the closest we have would be the Ruined Kingdom or the Cap Kingdom.
