There's something about this trailer, like many many years after i first saw it, i still seek it out form time to time, and i don't quite understand why.
Because how well the trailer was made, how the fact everything was, plus the divine hate and devils never cry remix within the trailer. Everything with this trailer was executed perfectly for the style of game dmc3 was
It shows equal gameplay and cutscenes. The music kicks ass, it basically hits all the marks of how you do a video game trailer to interest people in your game. It seems hard to understand at first considering then and now but nowadays they can show you a glossy trailer with no gameplay and get people losing their shit, but something like this is almost unheard of.
- has the best personification of enemies as the seven sins -portrays the evil of every human nature (ladys father) - has the best amount of drama but doesnt fall in soup opera (like DmC) - has the best depiction of hell limbo and heaven(for me at least) - the best motherfucking chess game ever. - the best kind of weapon diversity, doesnt feel like its just , fast but weak or slow but powerful, they are actually different. - best motherfucking cry of anger, ever. the list goes on and on.

The common enemies with the skeleton-like body, the robes and the scythe are Prides for example. The fast ones with the red clothing are Lust. The teleporting tall ones with the gray clothing are Sloths. The ones carrying bombs are Wrath etc.

Recently picked up the Devil May Cry HD collection and the only Devil May Cry I’ve played before was 4 and holy shit 3 is kicking my ass so far but damn am I loving the game even though some bosses have nearly caused me to throw my controller

Nahh, Beowulf is the best weapon to use against him in the final encounter. I recommend Beowulf and Nevan personally, since Nevan grants enhanced healing in DT and it has Air Raid

DMC 5 is only about the gameplay. The level design, artstyle, nothing is really done well, you go from samey looking city to samey looking insect hive only killing with no puzzles or interesting designs or views, then you unlock bloodypalace which means there is 0 reason to play through the singleplayer again. DMC 3 had good drama and story, memorable levels, mind blowing 3d graphics, gimmicky but still engaging puzzles, FAN FUCKING TASTIC cutscenes and mocap all back in 2005, nothing comes close, I can say with 100% confidence DMC 3 is as close to perfection as the medium of gaming has reached, and when I pre ordered it back then I wondered about the future of gaming, how fantastic would it be in 10 years? It never reached that peak again for me.
Actual facts. DMC 3 is one of the few games I’ve played that nailed EVERYTHING. Dmc 5 was good, but the first thing I think about that game is the gameplay and soundtrack and not the story.

Actuly "Hideki Kamiya" confirmed that Nero is infact the son of Vergil, In the 5th DMC game it was supposed to be about Vergil trying to take over Nero's body thru his devil arm Bcuz his devil arm is actualy Vergil trying come back to life from hell to get revenge on Dante for killing him. Then the 6th game was supposed to be about Dante's son Natias who's born with devil wings for better gameplay. "Hideki Kamiya" wrote the whole DMC story from games 1-8 before they were even made yet.
Let me say this first... DMC 3 was the best of the trilogy, always has been and always will be my fave. Now, as far as ninja theory DMC, they have it right by the lore, and yes, there is lore for devil may cry. Dante wasn't always white headed, and he didn't always like that he was part demon, hence why he became a demon hunter. NT is rebooting the series, and I'm glad they do it in their own style, rather than add a character who has nothing to do with the series and muck it up...-.-

Now they are bringing the games back for PS3 soon! Thumbs up if you want this as part of the PS3 re-release of the DMC collections!
Its alright the haters over exaggerate. Be thankful that we have another DmC to play its been at least 3-4 yrs since the last installment of DmC was new. It probably has changed a lot but that's the idea the new one is DmC in Ninja theory's perspective so its based on a new DmC. Man, I was like 7 or 8. I went to the GameStop up the block from my Papa Alberto’s apartment in Brooklyn with my mom’s ex-girlfriend. She said I can have the Wii or a new game. I spent a good while looking around and I was gonna settle for the Wii, even though I surprisingly wasn’t interested. But as I was making a final sweep I found this gem. White hair on the cover, big ass sword, the moonlight shining down, and that title. Devil May Cry 3: Dante’s Awakening: Special Edition. Then I read the back and saw it said prequel. Asked what it meant and she told me it means it takes place before the events of the games that came out prior. I was even happier so I didn’t have to put that back and play the first two. Even better, it’s made by Capcom, who also does Resident Evil. I grew up on those so it was already bought in my opinion. She was so salty when I chose DMC3 over the Wii 😂😂😂 but I went home and made some good ass memories. Probably about to do another playthrough.
