    How do I get the headphone jack of the SL 32r to work? I need a full crash course on routing for monitoring. Have you already done a video on it? I'd love to watch it, multiple times, plz. Thank you, brother.

    Hi Joe, I love your videos, but have a question that I cannot seem to find the answer to. How can I run pipeline with studiolive series 3 mixer? Thank you, George

    Hi Joe, great video and easy to follow. I have also seen the video about the cue mix in presonus studio one daw. please could you perhaps make make a video how you can connect the cue mix to the studiolive, I work with midi tracks and have the cue mix to the vocal booth but the pc is on one track and i would really like to know if the CUE functionality in DAW studion one can be fed through the mixer without compromising the midi mix . I do make the midi tracks into audio once they are finalized but this is sometimes after an acoustic guitar or the vocals are recorded.
    Thanks ever so much for the videos i often refer to them when i am stuck and they have helped me out on lot's of occasions. Dont ever stop :)
    Thanks ....from Tia -the Netherlands

    Can you use same system for church language translation? Instead of giving headphones to musicians, give to congregants to listen, preaching another language?

    Joe nice video. How do you link 15 and 16 and make them stereo? I wanna send a stereo mix to a camera and need to send a mix to it. How do I do that?

    I can't get this to work properly
    Are you feeding the headphone amp from the xlr aux outs? I'm trying to get different headphone mixes but they're all just the same levels

    Man how do you do this?? All i get is the full mix going through one fader in the aux mixes. I'm ready to lose it

    Could you show how to connect the cables on the back of the mixer to route each head phone setup?
    for example... i have an 8 channel headphone amp... how many wires and where should they be connected on the S/L III? (XLR to 1/4 inch?) and also, what needs to be turned on to enable the outputs on the back of the mixer to feed the correct output mix that you've explained in this video?

    • @HomeStudioCorner

      Totally depends on the headphone amp itself.

      If i'm not mistaken, i'll need two separate cables for each headphone setup (left and right). I own the Presonus Studio live 32 which has 16 outputs, 13-16 are quarter inch and 1-12 are XLR... To route 8 separate headphones (stereo) I'll have to use all 1-16 outputs... right? not sure...

    How do you set it up in stereo though? If I bring up the DAW in the stereo headphone mix, eg, channel 15 and 16 linked, the daw sends a stereo mix to BOTH 15 and 16. It doesn't send the left channel to 15 and the right channel to 16. How do I set it up to do this please?

      What specifically do you want to know? You just plug it in via the USB cable, and it acts like an audio interface.

    Hi Joe, great video. I have a studiolive 32 in the mixer room and a 16r in the live room and an earwax 16m in a sound booth (via ABV) I need 4 separate headphone mixers, can you help?

    • @soundbproductions2018
      @soundbproductions2018 3 года назад

      U should buy a analogue headphone amps and controll the mixes via wifi. More expensive options is the avb monitor mixers.

    Hi Joe. Your videos are most informative. Keep it up. I have a presonus studiolive 32 series iii. Beautiful piece of equipment. I have a live show c9ming up in a couple of months that requires mixing a full orchestra with a band. We need 58 inputs. Question is, can we daisychain 2 studiolive 32s? I have read and seen 24s and 16s being cascaded but never 32s.

    Hi Joe, firstly than you for sharing your knowledge on these desks. I have just purchased a studio live 16 series 3.
    This is my first ever digital desk and I'm struggling to get a level that is not hot.
    I tried to set up a vocal mic and I can't really get any decent volume on it before it goes into the red.
    I have connected the studio mixer up to EV ETX 12p's tops and ETV ETX 15'sp subs.
    My old analogue desk, my volume was very good, without having to turn up the speakers from 0 db' s.
    What am I doing wrong?
    Cheers
    Gerry

      Why not just record the sound with all the FX you want and get it right at the source?

    I have the SLiii 16 and have been blown away by its capabilities. I decided to unbox it with a chainsaw, which Presonus seemed to enjoy lol. I really enjoy your channel and greatly appreciate how information, yet direct you are. I’m really looking forward to your coming vlogs, as well.
    My question is: Have you found a way to record a vocal with the fx in the track OR track the dry vocal plus the fx on a second track at the same time? I’m not sure if routing fx to the DAW is possible while recording the track as well. Also, when routing analog via USB to the DAW, am I correct in seeing that the only gain/leveling option is the preamp gain or boosting a comp/EQ gain? I’d like a little bit more hotter signal than what I’m seeing now.
    Thanks a lot for your hard work. Take care!

    • @HomeStudioCorner
      @HomeStudioCorner  7 лет назад

      You have to route the FX through a subgroup or aux and then set that as an input in your DAW

    • @StenosisMusic

      Thank you for the reply. I'm making the transfer from analog over to digital, as far as mixing boards, and the SL3 was literally my only interest. I haven't been disappointed with it at all since I've received it and, although tedious, I'm enjoying the process of learning the flexibility within it. Your videos have been a welcome part of that journey. Thank you.

    Joe, on your User layer, you only need to assign one of the stereo channels. The other will blindly follow. This saves space on your user layer and simplifies mixing stereo channels.

    • @HomeStudioCorner
      @HomeStudioCorner  6 лет назад

      Totally. Except if I want to adjust the preamp of one of the stereo channels independently, I'll need access to that channel too.

    • @DH4Hobbies

      I hear you, I have never had to do that on a stereo channel, but I hear folks talking about having to do it all the time. Not sure why.

    Hi Joe,
    First of all, great content, and very well explained, simply and useful.
    I wanna know, for example, after having being recording the drummer, if i want the guitarist to hear my drums record via the studiolive console ( i use the 16.4.2 ) using auxs,( and nor via the DAW) how can i do this ? i use a HP 60 as a headphone amp.
    Thanks for all your helps for us
    Cheers from France

      If you're trying to play back tracks from your daw through the mixer, I vote don't bother. It's doable, but you have to route every track to a different USB output to do it. I don't think it's worth it.
