Osho was different. I am not one of those blind followers but one thing I liked about Osho was that he challenged every religion. He was blunt ,brave and unbiased . I know his life was very controversial but he didn't beat around the bush. He was quite intelligent unlike Sadhguru. The best for for defining Sadhguru is obscurantist.
But he definitely preached what was morally and socially unacceptable too ...we should always weigh in the good and bad...i definitely wouldn't go to osho's or I wouldnt be comfortable sending my children to such a cult !!

I just wanna add that yes Osho's ideology, books, quotes were great but remember how his followers were caught conspiring to poison water. In addition, Osho's long time follower on BBC interview said that he dangled enlightenment like a carrot and gathered people.

@scienceisdope Dear pranav.. I think i apply rationality to most of the stuff if not all. And with all due respect I can vouch for osho. I am from his place, I have read him for like 20 years, listened to hundreds of his discourses and watched his videos. What my understanding of osho says is that 1. He was against all magic tricks, miracles and even when his followers claim to have undergone such experiences he criticized or joked them off. 2. I have met many of his fellow villagers, childhood friends, early followers/listeners, chef etc and they have all claimed of his magnetic personality, astonishing memory and alertness/awakening that is not at all found in sathya sai, sadguru and other claiming to be Goodman. 3. He unlike sadguru or sathya sai was anti government/establishment. Took no favours..And harshly criticize them. 4. 3 out of 4 spiritual advices (common sense advices) you displayed were infact not at all associated or can be attached with osho. 5. Osho did not made use of govt resources like capturing govt land or tax incentives. He infact made his commune 6. When it comes to science he is not a scientist, he is not even a graduate in science. So he does not claims that a particular example he is giving is correct scientifically. he himself says on many ocassions that he was/could be wrong yesterday. Like buddha, mahavir or kabir he does not claims to deliver you enlightenment. 7. and last before becoming a "godman" so to say he literally has an amazing unbelivable childhood that can(could have been) be verified.

Comparing Osho, Raman Maharshi, Sri Sarda Devi with Sathya Sai Baba, Ramdev etc is so naïve of you. I used to think that you think rationally but guess what, even you didn't do your homework. Okay I know people don't understand Osho so they criticize him (that's fine), but putting Bhagwan Shri Raman Maharshi, Sri Sarada Devi along with many fake Gurus shows how less knowledge/information you have. few points regarding Osho - 1. I had a brush with the sadhguru cult myself, I got quite swept away all the way to buying the books and even writing in to Isha when the practices started to make me feel like something was wrong..what they told me when I wrote in to ask questions about the side effects of all the practices was a copy and pasted response about paying $225 for the inner ingeneering online course 🤦🏻♀️ THAT was the moment I knew I’d been had.

Have been watching few of the videos on this channel though few valid points are raised but I have few apprehensions so here it goes... while we do have to agree the Guru's are not talking about Science but for that we already have education system. And none of the Guru's are denying the importance of good education nor they are asking to kill the non believers.. Infact if I am not wrong many of the Guru's shown in the video run schools which I am sure teach science.. Glad to be proven wrong Yoga, Dhyan, Sadhana are scientific practices to help your physical as well as mental health. So any Guru who Promote Yoga, Dhyan, Sadhana are proponents of science. Generalization of all the Guru's in one basket and clubbing frauds with genuine spiritual Sadhaka is not so scientific in my opinion.

Neither among Osho and Sadhguru claims to be a Godman. Why are you putting these tags on them? While millions have benefitted from their meditations, here you are with no scientific or social accomplishments spreading lies and negativity,
I respect your views, but I lost my belief system after listening to Sadhguru and Osho and started following rationality. I used to be so invested in God, but now, I am open to anti-God statements as well. In the end, it's all subjective as to what you learn and what affects you. There's this thing "conciousness" that always baffles me. I spent a lot of time searching for specific videos and articles and even questioning myself, which ultimately lead me to create my own philosophy and I tried to remain as neutral as possible. And yeah, I'm a science student :P

You can do some charity to gain some more "good fellow aura"

I don't know about Sadhguru and others but Sri Sathya Sai Baba has done a lot of work for the people. Free nutritious meals, water, superspeciality hospital services, education etc. If you can't look at good for the ppl then what is the use of all yr science?

Plants evolved to produce chemicals so that they can pass their genes to next generation. I came across your channel just a couple of days ago and I was in agreement with you on most of the videos until I saw you have added clips of Ramana Maharishi in this video. Are you of the idea that he was also a charlatan like the others??? Have you read about Ramana Maharishi??? It is good to have scientific mind but it is also important to be able to distinguish genuine from the fake. There are people like Ramana Maharishi who lived a very different life - his main teaching was just self-inquiry and that is really relevant and sensible. Apart from him there are other teachers too - like Nisargadatta maharaj who lived very humble lives and only initiated other people to help them in their spiritual journey. To club these people in the same group as Sadhguru is sacrilege. Maybe you should read the book 'I am that' by Nisargadatta Maharaj.

I highly respect your channel bro, i have watched all your videos but I have listened to Osho really well and he never claimed to be a Godman nor he have said anything pseudo scientific, he didn't even tell people that he would solve their problems. He was a professor of philosophy before becoming osho, he was really a learned man and he too respected science, he even claimed that without science India would never become fully spiritual. His fancy lifestyle and his name bhagwan rajnish is what i too didn't like much but his philosophy and teachings are really something to be studies if you're into philosophy. Thanks!

Comparing Ramana Maharshi to the the likes of Osho or Sad-guru is really sad. Ramana never proclaimed him self a guru nor accepted any money from anyone. He just lived his own life but inspite of that gained a large following.

Ever heard of a subject named Philosophy? I mean the people you are demeaning as Godmen, their philosophy is studied in Universities. The philosophy of Osho is studied. Have you ever even listened to what Osho says? You are talking as if people should not think unless they are thinking science. Hello brother, It's really good to see your videos. Have you ever heard about "sanatham varuthal" ( word as in Tamil) or " sami aduthal" ( word as in Tamil). They say it's like God possessing a person for some time to deliver a message that God wants to convey (don't believe) . I've seen peoples going into that state at many temples in villages. Some act (obviously) but for some their beliefs systems make something to their brain and they enter into some mental state ( they do not act). It's purely a mental phenomenon. It seems like split personality. You know what, the cities of our nation are controlled by godmen but the villages of our nation are controlled by " god in man". Sri Sarada Devi lived a life of poverty and did not market herself . She extolled service to women. Read her sayings. She shouldn’t be mentioned in the same breadth as the other “ gurus”’shown here. The same applies to Anandamayi Ma.
You forgot to mention one important information. Paying huge money to the latest stars in the cinema industry and getting them to interview the guru. I am not a blind sheep for any human / culture / religion , but dont you think putting Osho ( Rajneesh guy) in the same box as so called sadguru and other fake gurus is right ? I mean osho did say great things , he actually showed a right path to people. Godmen and Godwomen abound among Sufis, Sunnis, Shias, Christians, and Catholics alike. But of course the scorn, abuse, and humor is directed only or mainly toward the Hindu gurus. The problem with this term is that it is exoticized and rendered exclusive to Hinduism, when we know of so many godmen and godwomen in Islam and Christianity too-- some of the most mainstream Catholics are godmen but are never called that. And the less said about the charismatic faith-healers and televangelists among the Protestants, the better. Regrettably such scoundrels have a vast and growing following in India and of course in many parts of America too (bible belt areas). So, it's not about Hinduism, though the concepts of guru-shishya parampara probably abets fake gurus. It's a human psychological condition, and at least in Hinduism, there is also the remedy. One is asked to choose ones guru but to always ask questions, and never stop asking questions. A real guru will welcome this.

Osho was different. I am not one of those blind followers but one thing I liked about Osho was that he challenged every religion. He was blunt ,brave and unbiased . I know his life was very controversial but he didn't beat around the bush. He was quite intelligent unlike Sadhguru. The best for for defining Sadhguru is obscurantist.
But he definitely preached what was morally and socially unacceptable too ...we should always weigh in the good and bad...i definitely wouldn't go to osho's or I wouldnt be comfortable sending my children to such a cult !!

@scienceisdope Dear pranav.. I think i apply rationality to most of the stuff if not all. And with all due respect I can vouch for osho. I am from his place, I have read him for like 20 years, listened to hundreds of his discourses and watched his videos.
What my understanding of osho says is that
1. He was against all magic tricks, miracles and even when his followers claim to have undergone such experiences he criticized or joked them off.
2. I have met many of his fellow villagers, childhood friends, early followers/listeners, chef etc and they have all claimed of his magnetic personality, astonishing memory and alertness/awakening that is not at all found in sathya sai, sadguru and other claiming to be Goodman.
3. He unlike sadguru or sathya sai was anti government/establishment. Took no favours..And harshly criticize them.
4. 3 out of 4 spiritual advices (common sense advices) you displayed were infact not at all associated or can be attached with osho.
5. Osho did not made use of govt resources like capturing govt land or tax incentives. He infact made his commune
6. When it comes to science he is not a scientist, he is not even a graduate in science. So he does not claims that a particular example he is giving is correct scientifically. he himself says on many ocassions that he was/could be wrong yesterday. Like buddha, mahavir or kabir he does not claims to deliver you enlightenment.
7. and last before becoming a "godman" so to say he literally has an amazing unbelivable childhood that can(could have been) be verified.

I had a brush with the sadhguru cult myself, I got quite swept away all the way to buying the books and even writing in to Isha when the practices started to make me feel like something was wrong..what they told me when I wrote in to ask questions about the side effects of all the practices was a copy and pasted response about paying $225 for the inner ingeneering online course 🤦🏻♀️ THAT was the moment I knew I’d been had.

Have been watching few of the videos on this channel though few valid points are raised but I have few apprehensions so here it goes... while we do have to agree the Guru's are not talking about Science but for that we already have education system. And none of the Guru's are denying the importance of good education nor they are asking to kill the non believers.. Infact if I am not wrong many of the Guru's shown in the video run schools which I am sure teach science.. Glad to be proven wrong
Yoga, Dhyan, Sadhana are scientific practices to help your physical as well as mental health. So any Guru who Promote Yoga, Dhyan, Sadhana are proponents of science.
Generalization of all the Guru's in one basket and clubbing frauds with genuine spiritual Sadhaka is not so scientific in my opinion.

I respect your views, but I lost my belief system after listening to Sadhguru and Osho and started following rationality. I used to be so invested in God, but now, I am open to anti-God statements as well. In the end, it's all subjective as to what you learn and what affects you. There's this thing "conciousness" that always baffles me. I spent a lot of time searching for specific videos and articles and even questioning myself, which ultimately lead me to create my own philosophy and I tried to remain as neutral as possible.
And yeah, I'm a science student :P

5 politicians are by your side, because you have control on many people.
6 you have lot of money. You can do some charity to gain some more "good fellow aura"

I used to like Jaggi aka SG but soon when he starts to have answer about everything including rocket science and when a woman called him jaggiji he was irritated and told her to call him as SG i knew that he is part of the issue here not the solution

I don't know about Sadhguru and others but Sri Sathya Sai Baba has done a lot of work for the people. Free nutritious meals, water, superspeciality hospital services, education etc. If you can't look at good for the ppl then what is the use of all yr science?

Are you of the idea that he was also a charlatan like the others??? Have you read about Ramana Maharishi??? It is good to have scientific mind but it is also important to be able to distinguish genuine from the fake. There are people like Ramana Maharishi who lived a very different life - his main teaching was just self-inquiry and that is really relevant and sensible. Apart from him there are other teachers too - like Nisargadatta maharaj who lived very humble lives and only initiated other people to help them in their spiritual journey. To club these people in the same group as Sadhguru is sacrilege. Maybe you should read the book 'I am that' by Nisargadatta Maharaj.

I highly respect your channel bro, i have watched all your videos but I have listened to Osho really well and he never claimed to be a Godman nor he have said anything pseudo scientific, he didn't even tell people that he would solve their problems. He was a professor of philosophy before becoming osho, he was really a learned man and he too respected science, he even claimed that without science India would never become fully spiritual. His fancy lifestyle and his name bhagwan rajnish is what i too didn't like much but his philosophy and teachings are really something to be studies if you're into philosophy. Thanks!

Comparing Ramana Maharshi to the the likes of Osho or Sad-guru is really sad. Ramana never proclaimed him self a guru nor accepted any money from anyone. He just lived his own life but inspite of that gained a large following.

It's really good to see your videos. Have you ever heard about "sanatham varuthal" ( word as in Tamil) or " sami aduthal" ( word as in Tamil). They say it's like God possessing a person for some time to deliver a message that God wants to convey (don't believe) . I've seen peoples going into that state at many temples in villages. Some act (obviously) but for some their beliefs systems make something to their brain and they enter into some mental state ( they do not act). It's purely a mental phenomenon. It seems like split personality. You know what, the cities of our nation are controlled by godmen but the villages of our nation are controlled by " god in man". If you have any views about that please share it with us.

I have made some small monetary contribution for your channel, I know its not that much big, but I promise in near future I will contribute more. Promoting science and rationality will be my main motto for rest of my life. I know its not going to be so easy, because from last few months people around me have started avoiding me and in some cases I even faced back fire due to my rational perspective on religious beliefs and traditions. I am not a blind sheep for any human / culture / religion , but dont you think putting Osho ( Rajneesh guy) in the same box as so called sadguru and other fake gurus is right ? I mean osho did say great things , he actually showed a right path to people. I am not saying osho was 100% right in all all the things, he might have said many BS but in general he was a very wise human who actually knew a lot about human nature , and deep psychology. Everything you said is right but Ramdev baba is never considered a spiritual guru. He is a yoga guru and he also helped many people mostly old people.

What true experience?
Godmen and Godwomen abound among Sufis, Sunnis, Shias, Christians, and Catholics alike. But of course the scorn, abuse, and humor is directed only or mainly toward the Hindu gurus.
The problem with this term is that it is exoticized and rendered exclusive to Hinduism, when we know of so many godmen and godwomen in Islam and Christianity too-- some of the most mainstream Catholics are godmen but are never called that. And the less said about the charismatic faith-healers and televangelists among the Protestants, the better.
Regrettably such scoundrels have a vast and growing following in India and of course in many parts of America too (bible belt areas).
So, it's not about Hinduism, though the concepts of guru-shishya parampara probably abets fake gurus. It's a human psychological condition, and at least in Hinduism, there is also the remedy. One is asked to choose ones guru but to always ask questions, and never stop asking questions. A real guru will welcome this.
