I decided to use her as a banker on our club layout because she's the most powerful, being brass, dual motor, and having bullfrog snot on all drivers (electrical pickups in tender and both lead and trailing trucks). The lead locomotives didn't have enough power to keep ahead and she folded that train like an accordion.

I’ve had some spectacular G scale crashes. Nothing like several thousand dollars worth of engines falling onto rocks or in the water or plowing into several thousand dollars worth of cars. The sound of plastic crunching and always when you’re not watching it there to stop it.
Oh this hobby can drive a person nuts sometimes. There are days everything runs just great and it’s enjoyable. Then for absolutely NO reason at all, nothing seems to go right. How can there be derailments the following day when nothing has been tampered with? I just don’t get it. I learned to just walk away from it and ‘maybe’ tomorrow will be better. Sometimes I’m tempted to sell it all! 👽
Not quite the violence of a Gomez Addams Dynamite explosions of his model trains and bridges in his train room upstairs in the mansion, but it's close. For the non-baby boomer generations, you will have to look up the original television series with John Astin as Gomez Addams.
Oh what a shock, Athearn items constantly having issues. I’m trying to figure out how these things keep derailing on you. The simple uncouples could be the material of the couplers warping, but was the track laid poorly or are the trucks on the cars too tight? One of those shots just looked like a Norfolk Southern moment of wrong placement of weight.
That's the thing, nothing in this video was deliberate lol. All happened while trying to film for older videos on here. The premise has always been to use footage that's normally thrown away when making something else. Thanks for watching!

Engineer Bob sez always check your switches ahead of your train. If you also have a questionable section of track, keep a track gauge handy
So do people send in their derailment shots, or do you go to train museums with layouts?

The only thing I’m going to say is, this video shows I’m not the only one with derailment issues on their layouts.
