Every time I watch one of your videos I learn a bit more, or get a recap on something I've experienced or 'learned' from elsewhere. They are very much appreciated here 😊.

Beautiful and scary at the same time.
    Very enjoyable.
Drove the TT 1987 on a Ducati.
What an experience. Now more than happy to follow you.
Many thanks for sharing mate 👍

Hiya I was a fellow biker in my younger days as well though I never got to race or even ride the TT. My grand father had a Manx Norton in the day and I believe it is on show somewhere in the IOM but I’m not sure where. Biking and boating we have a lot in common mike

I love the experience of night sailing, and the pleasure of reaching your destination and getting a good rest. On the downside, your senses can be on edge, especially as you are generally the only pleasure boat out there, and the slightest mishap can make you freak out. I have seen incredible night shots with Huawei phones, but I don’t think it has anything to do with the lense, but rather with very clever in camera AI enhancement! Love these videos, simple, honest tutorials! And thanks for the namesake anchor shot 😎

Hi Bruce, what you say about night sailing rings true to me as to any other sailor I'm sure. The well exposed image I got was an iPhone which surprised me as it was much better than my camera. Think I need a new camera really. Next time you comment I expect to see a Bruce anchor in your thumb nail and not the letter B. mike

Have you ever sailed to Porthmadog? I'm welsh but I worked in Aberdyfi for a bit. It got me interested in sailing but I will never be able to afford a yaught. With Aberdyfi I was surprised how few boats actually sailed out.
BTW when I was 16 in 1993 I caught a "ship" from Llandudno pier to Douglas. 4 hours. You can see the IOM from the summit of the great orme which you properly know.
    Nice explanations, thankyou.

Hi Tony thanks for the story. Yes I’ve a video on Porthmadog if you go back some. I seen IOM from the Orme on a clear day many a time. I’m sure you could afford a yacht if you really wanted one. Take a look at eBay you will be surprised at what little some go for mike

Very informative Mike thanks. We are hoping to do the same journey on the 27th, of May all being well, but it looks like I’ll be under Genoa only as I have a problem with my in mast furling system and can’t get it fixed till after that week.
Keep the good work up thoroughly enjoy your vlogs. Roy

No we never steer the boat at sea just let one of the auto systems do the work. I find it hard to manually steer at night if it’s all black and I can’t look at the compass for too long without getting sleepy. Only ever hand steer in close quarters but Lisa did have a go of steering with the wheel in the Menai the other day. She says it’s not as easy as a tiller
