Nice design, especially the flow gauge. Need to see how long the tracks last and how much the replacement tracks are. I have the 4 wheeled aquanot and the wheel tracks don't last long on a pebbletec surface. It's been my only issue with the cleaner. Little bits of blue 'floaties' in the pool becomes frustrating real fast.
I sure wish I could find a knowledgable comparison between this model and a 4 wheel Aquanaut. Which is better overall? The Aquanaut and ThePoolCleaner has a lot of positive reviews while this one is newer without as many comments. These things are expensive and I'm trying not to make a mistake choosing something for my pepple tec pool. Your thoughts?
are these rebuildable (parts/kit) like the navigator pro models? also, do you have any qualms with the top potion that comes off (seems that perhaps over time those two hooks on the back that clip in would have a tendency to break off?) was considering the hayward "2 wheel the poolcleaner", the hayward "navigator pro or maybe the vac xl - not sure what differences are), and this little unit? in your opinion which one is the best of the three?
This is the newest and most updated cleaner. It's solid and I have no worries about the top clips. This is the one I would get over the two other choices.
Question: does the Hayward trac vac work as well as the Polaris max ? Reason I ask is, the Polaris max click lock hoses are extremely expensive, and I have to replace hoses every 3 years . Thanks
Although a TracVac is nice cleaner mine constantly gets stuck when it comes to the wall. I haven't seen it climb a wall since it gets stuck. Trying to figure out the problem?
Is it better or worse than the MX6? My MX6 walks up the step and then lays on its side until it's rescued. It also gets stuck on the outside curved corner of the seat in the deep end. Seems I'm frequently having to free it from these places.
Very interesting cleaner, I saw this one at the pool show and it reminds me of the MX6
Similar yet different inside.
My Mx8 has been going for at least 10 years in summer time now. Changed tracks twice and cogg gears once, runs in a 6.5x3.1m fibeglass pool in Sweden.

Tracks might be better than the rubber wheels in your pool.
So NO scrubbers on the bottom like the Atlas. Scrubbers help with algae on sidewalls
The scrubbers on the MX cleaners come in handy.
The video shows this model spinning in a circle, how does the hose not get twisted?

Unless you have an antivortex main drain the 4-wheel Aquanaut is still better in my opinion.

The MAXX is better. They do sell an ATLAS version with the regular hoses. Sold at pool wholesale outlets. A pool service company can get you one.
Hey david do u think the kreepy krauly will get another redesign and is it the still your alltime favortie cleaner
It probably will not be redesigned again. A solid choice still today. Not my all time favorite.

It sounds like it just needs more suction going to the cleaner.

The gearing in this is different. It might work well in your pool.
Which one do you reckon is better the Tracvac or the Rebel 2.
I like this one better but for the top choice Polaris Atlas or MAXX cleaner.
Love the Hayward cleaner on a Jandy leaf canister 😂
Keeping it real.
Hayward! My favorite brand
Safe for vinyl or above grounds?
Yes, the tracks look safe enough.
