- @instagram has changed the app’s UX to force you to use Threads, and one change in particular made users (including me) furious!
I think this change is on the verge of evil user experience and dark UX patterns.
It's no secret that Threads has been trying to maintain user engagement since it launched and has had a massive decline in returning users.
In this product review, I review the latest UX and UI decisions Instagram took in order for us to use Threads.
Please keep in mind these are only my opinions as a Product UX Designer. I'm one user out of millions and only express my professional yet personal opinions.
If you're a beginner UX designer, I highly encourage you to adopt critical thinking of apps, always think beyond the interface, and try to understand UX patterns and behaviors that make an app or a product good (or bad).
There are always pros and cons, and a good UX designer knows how to find inspiration even in terrible apps 😊

You don’t want 🤭
Apparently many users don’t 😅 that’s why they’re pulling all these tricks to make users open the app 🙃
not gonna happppppen
LEGIT!!!
I actually want to use Threads willingly. I'm a Twitter refugee and I'm done with Elon's nonsense. 😂
Which is fine, they don’t have to force all Instagram users to use it to 😭
@@ItsUXgirl it's easier for me to find new people to follow though 🤷♂️
That's great for you, but I truly believe the ONLY reason IG is doing it is because they've seen engagement plummet by 79%!! (that's an astronomical number) @@etnevel.naitzsirk
