Marvel comics had to use the DC publisher so their paper is a lower quality than DC the other books from Dell, Gold Key used their original art as rugs during winter so the staff did not track in snow ice and grim. No one suspected by 1970 that these books would have the value they had by 1978 let alone now.
Thanks for answering! See nothing wrong with keeping books pristine! I will get around to reading on line one day!! I agree with you about SIKTC by the way! I missed 8 billion genies, but I'm getting Lucky Devils by the same writing/art team! Mainly because I got offered a low print variant cover at cover price, believe it's going to be signed?
I think I snagged that same digest in VF shape for about $10-15 several years back because no one cared about it. I didn’t know about the Scooby app at the time. I just loved that it had a ton of HB characters on the cover
Golden Comics Digest for $5 was a fantastic deal. Since variant covers are a common topic on the livestreams, how often do you hunt for variants? Do you go out of your way to buy variants or attempt to get all of them if possible? Thanks again as always, those were some great books.
Hi Allan. Thank you for answering all my questions 😊 Is it true that Superman will be public domain within the next decade? If so, how would this positively or negatively affect the investment value of golden age Action Comics & Superman..... and the integrity of the character? Once in public domain will Superman star in a porno or try to sell us car insurance?🤣🤷 Thank you. Troy.

GOLDEN COMICS DIGEST 7 is one I actively hunt and will pick up in any grade, but dang...never seen one that nice! Wow!!
It is really rare.
