You have to remember how dominant Chelsea were that year. They only lost 3 games in all competitions, and this was the only game they lost at home. All year.
Scrivo Cagate as well as bradford in the cup, they lost to newcastle, spurs and west brom in the league, although they’d already won the title by the time they lost to wba
This has to go down as one of the greatest shocks ever seen, for a number of reasons. For Bradford to come from 2-0 down, against a full-strength Chelsea, at Stamford Bridge, was an incredible achievement. Hope to see Bradford back up there again some day.
This is why the FA cup is so amazing. No other sport has a tournament like this, with the opportunity for amazing games and upsets like this. Brilliant from Bradford, and congratulations, hope they go on further.
I've been going to Bradford City since I could walk in 93, I've seen it all relegation, standing up, promotion, happy times sad times but this by far tops the Liverpool game, it was unbelievable I still watch it now! Closest I've come to crying in 15 years
amapolishplummer naah mate stop it with the ridiculous excuses they started cahill, azpili, oscar, remy, drogba, salah First team players then when it was 2-1 to chelsea on 70 mins jose bought on willian, fabregas, hazard but still lost 4-2 to LEAGUE 1 team at HOME shame on them hahahhahahaha
I’m a Chelsea fan but this is still awesome to see, to this day. I really don’t mind a loss like this every now and then. Especially considering how much it means to each club. For us a win at this stage has become numb and almost meaningless, but for most it means everything. It’s a joy to see and bittersweet
Agreed. I’m a Chelsea fan but I love coming back and watching this game. Yeah, we lost but we’ve had more than our fair share of wins over the years. Every now and then, it’s nice to pat the underdog on the back and say well done.
I was there. For me as a Chelsea fan this was a horrible result, especially after being 2-0 up - but still I love the fact that results like this can and do happen. I think most Chelsea fans were left numb by the end of it - but some of us, myself included, applauded Bradford at full time. It must be one of the biggest "giant killing" results ever - we went on to win the Premier League at the end of the season.
Still gives me goosebumps. I'm not even a supporter of either team, but I appreciate great play, and Bradford City played some exquisite football at times. Their forth goal was sublime stuff. I've been back almost every year, come FA Cup time to view this at least once.
I was arguing with another chelsea fan and he said tht we fielded a strong team against mk dons compared to chelsea..lol and we were playing with likes of janko whilst they played with ramires and co lol
Amazing team, once reached a League Cup final as a league TWO club and then in the FA cup beat 2 premiershipclubs: Chelsea and Sunderland- they deserve to be in the premier league
The first game i ever got taken to as a kid was Bradford v Chelsea 2-2 draw that city had dominated for much of the 90 minutes in the old division 2. That game taught me the disappointment of football, this game taught me the elation.
Just saw this. It was a heck of an upset. As a Chelsea fan, I feel sad obviously because on paper, Chelsea can easily send Bradford home, but that's the beauty of football, anything can happen. Bradford played splendid football. Congratulations to them! One of the greatest upsets indeed in English football history :)
I love watching this match, but I also love Charlie Austin scoring against a team he supported 4 1 match only ( a 1 off) that same season with a back heel
Brilliant still cant believe what we did, couldent of wished for a better result. Great support yet again from them City fans. Everywere we go its the bradford boys making all the noise.

Alright sternumagnum yeah Arsenal doesn't have a Champions League trophy but is Arsenal considered a nice, adorable team from London if they have more league titles and FA Cup titles. It may not be by a large margin but this nice, adorable team from London has their own recognition that plastic bandwagoners like you can't accept. Talking about winning a Champions League is irrelevant especially if you can't get out of an easy group *ahem 2013* a year after winning. It may seem like I'm recognizing the past when I'm not. Arsenal are decent this year, not "Invincible", but alright. They won the FA Cup last year and they're on track to repeat as champions again this year. You guys lost to a League 1 team like Bradford City, DEAL WITH IT. Speaking of "Invincibles", think of something better to say once you go undefeated for 49 games. If I can remember, this nice, adorable team from London got a gold BPL trophy in 2004. Just remember man, I'm a fan of a nice, adorable team from London called Arsenal and I stand by it
Chelsea didn't suck! Sometimes the underdogs find inspiration that lifts them to an unbeatable level even against world best competition. That 4th Bradford goal was one of the cheekiest and subtlest goals I've EVER seen! Pure confidence and pure quality! No wonder Bradford won ……Hᴜɢʜ….ツ
Congrats Bradford from a rangers Chelsea fan, strong team we had out and it was a fellow scot who put final nail in coffin, uz wanted it more, all the best.
This was a great game. Some defensive errors on the Chelsea side but overall Bradford simply played very well. This coming from a Chelsea fan. Bradford in that form could defeat any club, but it was a 1 game performance. Chelsea will still win the Premier League though.
Chelsea were top of the league and undefeated at home when we beat them, arsenal were a mess before Wenger left and anyone could beat them. Also forest are mid/high level championship team we are a league 1 team
We did this then like 2 years after we played league 1 playoffs against millwall all are players disappeared to other clubs manger went. Now we are 2nd of league 2 table we came down so bad

I am an American who only started watching English football for about ten years, I come back to this highlight at least 6 times a year. Incredible!!
That commentator does not sound like he was at the game, sounds like an overdub of the highlights. He doesn't even sound that shocked.
It is
Very true and, sometimes,MOTC highlights are done the same way.
You can, usually, tell because often those overdub commentators become " Mystic Meg " !
BBC Highlights for this game are better, watch them.
