You see this is one of the many reasons why we loved George so much; he never got weird or disrespectful like some of these Superstars become. Not a surprise to me why Aretha finally teamed up with George.
Bro stevie n mj r both real nice ppl, idk bout stevie but michael was just a really REALLY shy person, he’s not rude he’s the exact opposite! But def an introvert
MICHAEL WASNT RUDE OML
Michael wasn't weird or disrespectful, just introverted and needed some time to warm up to people, it could come off a bit standoffish but that wasn't the intention. I know George wasn't like his persona but he is open when approached, he was probably used to flamboyant and bubbly personalities when speaking to his peers and stars, so the MJ meetup was a shock to him. Sometimes years after rejection (human nature), you can often exaggerate how bad the meeting or situation was based on how you were feeling (at the time) but it wasn't, happened to the Beatles before and many artists until they look back at footage or any documentation which shows otherwise.
Yall he wasn’t rude MJ was just really teally fkn shy especially around ppl he doesn’t know at all
I disagree. He knew who George Michael was because they were on the same label. I'm pretty sure MJ didn't really like George Michael that's what my intuition says, because he saw him as a serious threat. Sure Michael Jackson was really popular and sure he'd been in the music business longer but here comes this honey tanned Adonis with good looks great voice and great music and he's appealing to the black community which was strange for a white guy to be attracting black fans, in such a quick matter of time but also a lot of white fans as well. He appealed to mainstream America like no other. I'm not saying Michael Jackson didn't respect him probably did in secret but why in anything George says about Michael it's negative when he's gotten along well with other black musicians. Anyways it's ok if they didn't like each other why should they have? They were both legends in their own right. Michael Jackson was super famous George Michael was also famous but either way you knew who each was when you heard their songs.
@@gregcosta6965 i believe he liked him there was a quote from george saying michael was gracious to him wen he won all these awards for faith
@@riverdean7 Yeah i suppose you could be right, but i never heard any public or media scrutiny about Michael Jackson liking him. Maybe they kept it in secret.
@@gregcosta6965 Mike came from Joe Jackson and Gary Indiana, MJ showed much respect to George Michael . Michael was a strict business man he was a powerhouse, MJ did his own siblings the same ,even with Scream video with Janet. George moved on and Stevie and all Motow artists loved George Michael
This guy has so much common sense!
There’s a video of Michael Jackson meeting princess Diana for the first time and he was obviously nervous because early in the video he exhaled and his face kind of shook when he exhaled, but when the moment came for him to meet her he acted perfectly calm and played it off for a long time even though he must’ve been very nervous in that moment, standing in front of a bunch of cameras that he would’ve known realized were zooming in on his face
The voice 😍😍😍
Always a beautiful voice...He speaks to my soul.... love George always and Forever 💖💖🌈
It’s interesting, all three of those people were legends by that time and had been in the music industry for decades at that point and I wonder if they just considered George Michael to be a newcomer kid still even though he had had huge success for three years at that point, and if that’s why they were so demeaning of him. I’ve seen lots of videos of Michael Jackson interacting very respectfully and politely with other big stars
You are so right, Oh that voice! ❤
❤❤❤❤❤George Michael❤❤❤❤for everrrrr❤❤❤❤
Actually, Bruce Swedien( Michaels mixin engineer) said that he would stand in the corner quietly even in the recording studio. Another technical engineer of his said that when new people came into the studio Michael would become quiet and he needed to warm up to new people. It is true Michael was shy and many many people said the same thing I think the beginning of vitiligo had its effect. I don't think that he did it on purpose to George.
Do you know specifically what he was like around other people in 1986? Because when you see home movies of him like after the 1984 award shows with Brooke Shields and Emmanuel Lewis and camera crews he doesn’t seem shy at all. I was actually surprised at how outgoing he was even with all those people around and cameras.
I have tried to figure out if there’s anyone famous who has definitely said when his skin condition really definitely started. Have you heard a definite answer to that question before? And how bad did it get and how quickly? I wonder if it started during thriller or before thriller.
I’ve wondered if it didn start until thriller and if that accounts for why he suddenly seemed a lot more introverted in public than in the period between 1978 and 81.
Also I wanted to find out if he actually did have a neurological disorder because I remember hearing that he had jerky and shaking movements in his deposition and that people at the time thought he might have a neurological disorder. But that was just random people I would talk to in person and I never heard anybody talk about it on TV. I Remember people also wondered if it could also be side effects from drugs. Or If he was taking drugs for a neurological disorder and it had side effects of making him out of it. Neurologiss give some people beta blocker medication for neurological disorders and it can make you very cognitively fussy and disoriented.
@@jr9249Freddie Mercury stated in an interview that MJ stopped going out and started being introverted. Could be because he wanted to get away from all the cameras. Who knows.
@@jr9249his skin condition started after Thriller. They said it was probably 1984 when he first noticed it. Hard to tell since he tried so hard to cover it with makeup until it got worse.
He fancied him 😅😊😂
Interesting encounters
As a fan of MJ, I m not too proud of that story that I do believe, since GM never used to lie..
I m glad he did with Aretha. That sounded fantastic in the end.
Well GM did lie about not being gay 😂😂. Jk anyways I always had a feeling that those two didn't get along for some reason as they were rivals during the late 80s with Faith vs Bad but you never saw an interview with either one of them talking about each other.
@@itshiho George was bi. He never lied about it, he just wasn't super open about it.
@@jeffcole1293 He came out as gay in 1998. Like I said was just kidding about the lie but you missed that apparently 🤷♂
MJ was really really shy and they didnt know each other, keep that in mind
They weren’t rivals 🤣 damn yall believe everybody rivals just cuz they both do some type of music, ppl said the same bout Price and MJ all throut their careers when actually they were friends and reapected each other, MJ was just really REALLY shy and they (MJ and George) didnt know each other
Great clip. I guess MJ saw GM as a direct rival. Where does this interview come from? I've never heard it before.
Nah bruh what 😂 MJ was just really really shy, especially around ppl he never met before
@@erikaandrada9716 have you ever heard of him doing that with someone else, not looking at a person he was supposed to be talking to? There was a journalist who said he did an interview with MJ in 1979 and they made him ask Janet all the questions and then Janet would rephrase them and ask her brother the questions and then Michael would answer the questions while looking at Janet.
Look for "George Michael Full BBC interview rare" on RUclips
Michael jackson very shy person
All these established stars were insecure around the new competition - Boy George explains it well in interviews. He said their egos get in the way and all end up being friends years later. GM was young, sexy and TALENTED. It’s just rivalry.
Poor George Michael
Michael Jackson was probably shy.
Lol
Exactly!!
Yes
Wheres this audio/interview from?
Hi Gus, where has this interview been extracted from? Nice to hear.
❤
is george michael talking about the trojan souls project here that he ended up abandoning
That’s interesting I’ve always wondered why I’ve never seen Michael Jackson mention George Michael. Does anybody know of MJ ever mentioning George? I vaguely remember George Michael briefly mentioning Michael Jackson a few times in interviews in the 80s and 90s and George always seeming very awkward when he does, like there was some issue there
He referenced George briefly during a rant against Sony and Tommy Motolla.
@@mmurph617 What specific video?
@@Bradley_Brodin it's looming around on RUclips. Look for it.

How sad, the fact that MJ was so socially akward...Very disrespectful, indeed...Could have been one the best duets ever...
Shut up that aint Michaels fault
@@anneliesejackson507You seem to bé one of the so-called fans who idolize an artist as if it was a cu lt. You need help.
When was this ?
Guess between 1987-1989
Michael Jackson did the same with Lionel Richie. Not nice. Obviously he did´t like other very talented sexy guys!
what💀 MJ and Lionel were close friends. MJ was just painfully shy, thats all. It's true it could've been handled better but MJ never intended to be rude
Thank u GM for this piece of yog I'm glad he never dealt with Michael Jackson my idol is too fantastic and loyal to his fans he is a precious box and is a good nature soul to be with he had patience and what a gorgeous man the older he got the better he looked I wished he never cut the cords to the arms of the angels he's been loved and he's with his mum she he adored very much thank u from earth to heaven still miss and mourn u babes my no 1 idol never forget u and your smile and two twinkling eyes 😥😥😥😙😙😙

Learn how to structure a sentence.
dont you dare talk bad about Michael or comprar him And George. If anything Michael is better stfu
So this was George before his Faith period? Interesting...
No after faith.
Actually just before Faith period.
@@Cummley TRUE!. 1987
I can see how that would irritate somebody. How are you going to "talk" to me without addressing me directly? MJ was a weird man.
No the hell he was not.
@@anneliesejackson507 he was, but that's okay. He was the best at what he did, but it's the truth. 🤷🏿♂️
@@anneliesejackson507 He was indeed, and a pedo
maybe it does seem odd but as someone who is introverted i totally get him. it takes me weeks to warm up to someone and his producer said that whenever new people came into the studio MJ would go quiet. i guess he was just really shy and had trouble interacting with people he doesnt know
@@Samoljubav59203 that doesn't explain why he's talking about him while sitting next to him.
Of course Jacko didn't do a duet with George Michael. He felt threatened by his rising stardom. There really can be no other explanation. I don't think George Michael would lie about this. It doesn't matter because George Michael was in a league of his own. No one could doubt his superior talent. My favorite artist of all time RIP.
RACIST WHAT IS YOUR FUCKING PROBLEM IT'S JACKSON.
thriller era mj felt threatened by george michael😂? please.
@@Samoljubav59203 It wasn't thriller era moron. Thriller era was 1982-1984. George Michael dominated the later half of the 1980s and Jacko knew it.
@@Samoljubav59203 It wasn't Thriller era. Get your facts right. The later years of the 1980s didn't belong to Jacko and he knew it. GM and Rick Astley were killing it in the late 80s.
@@gregcosta6965 what💀 BAD was literally killing it on the charts. it became one of the biggest selling albums of all time in just a year and it set the record of having five no.1 on chart. not to mention the BAD tour which became the biggest selling tour in history. bad was released in 1987 and the bad tour was going until 1989. saying the later years didnt belong to mj is crazy💀 the whole 80s belong to mj
