    I tried that a few days ago. Built a really nice temple with no traps, countless hours designing it to be super cool, marked and created paths to all the tombs (also not trapped) and then I placed just enough corrosive cubes in the design and in the open as a sacrifice pit to meet the minimum trap requirement. I got 1 sacrifice out of 10 rushes of people just running in, grabbing the Genmat and running out. I turned it into a deathtrap after the timer expired and it hasn't been successfully raided since then. Some times you should just stop and appreciate what people try to do for you lol.

      problem is that deaths makes you to lose rank, so after certain time the main goal is to never die

      ​@@Dalvagvr thats right, but you need to Die something like 7 Times, to actualy lose points in Ranking. At least thats what I experienced😅 So dying 1 or 2 times Stil ranks you up 🤷‍♂️

      You can't really be mad at them for rushing and not wanting to die since that's the literal goal of a raid. Making a death-trap is also the goal for building.

    Love the base. I not only hope to find it but also hope they expand the dungeon pool to include community highlights or just a search bar. Also hope they add a save feature for bases you find and really enjoyed.

      what about an abo system? so you can play the maps (put on social) in your abo box by your favourite builders

      you can actually search for maps. It's called social riding in menu

    Sounds like a neat idea, but those that rush bases to farm rank points will most likely choose not to sacrifice themselves.

      games about fun and raiding bases not feeding you trashcans kills for free you’re just wasting my time when you make free bases so of course youre not going get kills or accolades

    I saw a similar idea that did utilize traps. The dungeon was 'normal', you went through it with guards and traps here to stop you before reaching the GenMat. Nothing crazy, I liked it. The best bit came after the GenMat was grabbed, which they did something similar to you. The Tomb was located after the GenMat, so if you decided to push deeper into the dungeon you would get the tomb PLUS a block would disappear revealing the exit.
    I like those designs. So many people grab the material and just run back the other way. Sometimes its nice to poke your head deeper in.

      I did that with a base, but instead of it being behind the genmat, the sign trail goes across the room to a drop that takes you outside. If I added any more traps, including 2nd wave, it'd go from Normal to Dangerous, so I simply put all my eggs in wave 1 and gave them a free out. Most take the drop from sheer curiosity.

    I was surprised to see players doing almost exactly what I was doing.
    I never had the idea of exploding traps, so this was helpful.

    I ran into a base like this but it was made of a different material. Really enjoyed the aesthetic choices and especially the chain reaction explosion. It was literally this map. Jumped into the end corrosion box to give the maker some kills for the lightshow.

    I build a fun base that’s mastered now. It’s called heaven or hell in big text in the front with 2 entrances. Half is white and the other red. The robot follows the red path with clearly says hell but it’s up to the player to think if I’m deceiving them or being honest. The white entrances leads to the genmat with no traps. The red is filled with traps all the way to the end. Both paths meet only when they collide with the totems in my map so you have a chance to switch paths if you choose.

    I found a base with “FREE” written on it, perfect paths to all the vaults and no visible traps to be seen. Except 1 lone corrosive cube hidden under a corner. I was in co op and gave my mans a few kills for the niceness

    I made such map for brutal pool. It has "tilt cure resort" sign outside, red cross as if hospital, huge open space inside with visible genmat, words "farm" and "tip deaths" with arrows and section with traps and guards (specially faced to walls) to kill/farm. It is my way to diverse killbox meta and give an ability to rest and get easy time. You can avoid traps and guards completely if you want or you can farm tombs and traps.
    Funny enough nobody tip deaths in corrosives so far BUT they die just because willingly try to fight guards and get accidental shots xD one duo died 21 times there before they decided to take genmat and left. I didn't get enough prestige points but it's even better, my map will be longer in play lol xD I really want to get one for each difficulty now.

    I think it'd be fun to have a base like this that's just super easy and straightforward, but the experiment is for the replays. Watching people try and sneak around and be super paranoid that something is gonna happen.

    Didn't save the info but I stumbled across one where all enemies in a reduced space with a trap that you cana ctivate to kill them and all swag together, thought it was fun to stumble upon that, the gift label was "flying"

    I've come across something similar called a "loot chute". Basicly just a tall tunnel to fall in with marauder on top on bolt traps all over the wall. When you fall in the middle all the trap activates and kill the marauder, then all the part and synth drop down with you. Pretty nice too.

    All of my bases take you to all of the tombs before putting you in a nearly impossible death trap around the genmat

    Saw a base with gift out front, each tunnel leading to a vault had impalers in the floor all the way there, easy mats, I was waiting for a curve ball all the way to the end thinking I was being lulled but they were all obvious traps and the map was idd a gift, dropped 2 accolades as I left as a thankyou.

    Back in the beta I made a base with a 'FREE' sign and just made it an open field with a large square of bomb traps on the ground, the player just needs to run through the center of them nonstop to get massive amounts of xp from self destruction, a few of that and they'll cap out easily. If they desire to farm it it's in their best interest to die to reset them, which also helps the builder.

      I feel like you're missing the point, which is essentially: When offered free "stat padding" at absolutely no cost, will the raiders reciprocate and die on purpose?
      We can also look at various data that arise from these experiments, such as how often players will suicide, in what quantity per run, and whether or not the number of tombs makes a difference, etc.

    I really hate just Uber deadly bases. I understand it's the end game way to play, but I'd like some variety. It's why I go for Dangerous. Because I feel like it has a nice middle ground

      Dude, there are plenty of brutal bases that I can beat with only a week of experience. Whenever I get a crack at a champion base I always go after a Brutal for that sweet sweet 1k exp per advisor. Don't care how hard it is, I go till I get it.

    I did designed a flying saucer and placed some guards looking into the distance. Got it to 10 and now it's a social raid with only 10kills and 60accolades

    You only can get the xp cubes from traps and treasure cubes once per run, it doesn't stack. Please update your stats when you feel you have enough data. I would run 5 versions of the same base for bigger testing pool. Thanks for content!

    That arrow trap killed the vault. Don't do that. If the raider is killed after the vault is broken but before they get the resources, it despawns. Trapping around the vault is okay, but don't kill the raider/break the vault while the resources are on the ground.

      @@grimes138 There’s a clear issue with the amount of maps vs active map players. Everyone wants to have a successful map but less people want to actually play maps. My advise would be to try and keep your map on “Normal” whenever you can. People usually avoid “Moderate” maps and “Brutal” is played considerably less than Normal. So focus on keeping it normal if you can to maximise attempts.

    Neat idea, ill be sure to leave a "gift" if I run into it lol... another note, I wish they had a champion option on being able to run retired bases that have made it to prestige 10 instead of letting them sit there and rot

    I've made a very similar mpa with a big XP Logo at the beginning, some people give me like 24 kills and it was so fun to watch, others just pick the gen and go away, sadly the game is so dead that some days they don't get even 500 players...

    Heads up on the self-destruct mod, It won't give raiders exp if the traps blow up other traps. you would be better off using bolt shots down a long hallway the player can run by.
    Also the game has anti farming mechanics. So if a players keeps on playing a farm map, they will gain less exp and drops.

    My very first outpost was a grand corridor that presented each trap and enemy in the game I had available at the time with their range of activation.
    It still is my least levelup base that I had to abandon :/

    Do you mind if I join you in this experiment? I wanna make a friendly base for people who aren't familiar with this game or even games like this, starting out can be rough when you start a new game, it can be intimidating and to some very stressful, so a map where people can kinda just free stuff to help level up a bit and get some much needed upgrades to take on harder bases would be a boon to noobies.

    All my maps are like this. I focus on rewarding the player by guiding them to the loot and giving them multiple ways to the prize, as well as at least 1 quick in and out, with no enemies or traps, for anyone willing to explore the map and find the hidden entrance.

    Gamers like this are ruining the game. I did 5 maps in a row like this last night. It feels like I'm cheating if I don't abandon maps like this. Maps like this feel like pitty runs for the designer and runner. This is a kill maze game, if you want to build something artistic, there are literately hundreds of other building games for that.

      @@DeejGaming I get what your saying about the impossible ones, but then by the time I'm done with my build, I think its impossible. They really should of had the feature, where the builder has to be able to beat their own maze. I will abandon a map, that i feel is a cheap impossible build, like the 20 disco balls shooting at you.
