How come others aren’t rummaging through them?? So much useable stuff. The vacuum cleaner was fairly new! The beautiful green glass vase, etc. u didn’t even check the handbags. My friend found $50 in one once. In the side pocket.
Woah, that's a sweet reward to find in a pocket!... I did see some other people rummaging. Got chatting to a few of them, discussing what our best finds were!
@@ryan_roamsIt's good to know more people are doing it. Especially people who are clearly not homeless. It's just stupid not to! So many items could be reused.
Student leavings are gold. When my daughter was leaving halls , I found a laptop with the harddrive removed and covered in stickers in the rubbish. I took it home and plugged a flash drive in and installed linux and it worked. It took me about an hour to get all the stickers off. I used that laptop for about 3 years before I got a better one.
Wow you done so well good for you I can’t believe what people get ride of still thanks to people like you who are saving the planet thank you for sharing ❤
Love this im from london but based in leeds now after years of homelessness.still looking for bits to do up my almost naked flat so need to get to hyde park arpund this time
Unreal! I knew a lot of stuff got chucked but I didn’t realise it was being put actually in the bins, I always thought they would leave it outside for people to take.. can’t wait for this years Hyde park Xmas
Crazy time student term times , years back whilst mini cabing we would get jobs to move the students in our estate cars, then again whilst I was painting and decorating, I had jobs to paint a whole house in a day or two , no care just throw it on.
Great finds! It's a shame you didn't take the green uranium glass vase unless it was chipped or broken. The vase looked antique. I enjoyed your video. All the best. 😊
The uni's should have collection points for unwanted items end of term to pass onto charity. Such a waste, I've never binned clothes or new shoes etc. Some students obviously been spoilt by parents have more money than sense and no social awareness of waste.
Great blog. Saving from land fill donating to others and good stuff for you positive vibes! Get a bike with trailer ?save on taxis and colect more My specialty is dumpster diving Garden centers for my wife gardening addiction 😅. Ps Now inspired to read Marcus
Thanks... A bike trailer is a great idea. Awesome that you've been saving some gardening dumpster dives for your wife! Highly recommend reading Meditations, which is the private notes and ideas on Stoic philosophy of Marcus Aurelius, who was Roman Emperor from AD 161 to 180.
@@ryan_roams I’m about 15miles from Leeds across the border in North Yorkshire, our green bin is garden waste, the blue is plastic and cans, the brown cardboard and black normal rubbish.
My dogs just the same head goes automatically into any open bag .....well you never know if there might be a stray biscuit laying around I think is the logic 😂😂
Please can you go to your nierest homeless person on the street and give it to those guys and girls, they would really really appreciate it thanks, CAN WE HAVE A VOTE ON IT EVERYONE
Those handbags were gorgeous, Ryan there's a contract between the owners of the property and the rubbish collectors my advice knock their front doors and ask permission, they are still the owners until collection. I am really thinking about you,its great what you are doing.GOOD LUCK ,MERRY CHRISTMAS AND A HAPPY NEW YEAR
Not poor. Saving the planet from methanes gases from rotting food, leather, etc. Saving the ozone layer. Global warming. Melting Antarctica from methane gases. Wake up. Turn on ur alarm clock mate!! Think about ur kids future, not just ur own.
@rkizale sadly had to use them to get money for food, the best time is January and September as they throw when they go back home for holiday/end of college
Supermarkets are shocking for this type of thing the amount of food that they chuck away is unbelievable. All of the food the supermarkets take out they should be fined or they should donate it to the food banks
Well done you 😊 saving it from landfill great scores
Cheers!

Oh wow, that's great to hear! It's a bit of a goldmine if you're up for it. Just a shame people are so wasteful in the first place.
That green vase is uranium glass. Highly collectible and very expensive
I had no idea!... hope someone else found it
Yes very valuable
You're back!
yeah boy!
#1.30 the green vase, could glow in the dark
wish I took it now 😅
I'd have nabbed that vase which was definitely vintage. You are right though, they could donate so much stuff...
Had no idea about that vase. Hopefully someone else found it before the bin men came 🙏
Great video , love Hyde park , amazing what students throw away , 👍👍👍

Brilliant video, something different. Enjoyed.

Well done, keep up the good work. 🥰🐾🐾🌷
Thanks ☺️
They are called 'wheelie bins', not dumpsters.
Cheers mate
Well done on your finds 🙂 it’s crazy the things people throw away 😬

I love doing hpc. Ive done it every year without fail for the last 6 years 😊

Quite a lot of stuff is left on the street, but there was even more in the bins… hope you have a great time Xmas shopping!
@@ryan_roams it was a bountiful christmas indeed
Why not make use of these items, a great idea to walk around n see what's out there. Who knows what you'll find! ❤❤❤😊😊😊
Exactly!!

Cheers mate 🙏
Im so glad if i got that things 🎉🎉🎉 from dumpster
me too haha
Proper mad but most of the uni students are foreign so it doesnt surprise me at all.dumster diving in london was crazy back in the day
Exactly, many of the foreign students leave some of their possessions as they can’t take it all with them
It's insane the amount of waste. Items you can totally use or eat.
I know right... Crazy that people throw this stuff away
Thank you for saving all that from landfill! I’ve just subscribed.
Nice one - thanks for subbing!
🎉 Big ups like to see someone doing this in Leeds! I want to know when the day is that the students drop off all their stuff outside
Cheers mate! It's on 30th June
Great finds! It's a shame you didn't take the green uranium glass vase unless it was chipped or broken. The vase looked antique. I enjoyed your video. All the best. 😊
Cheers!.. I wish I took the uranium glass too, but had no idea what it was at the time. Glad to hear you enjoyed.
Well done. That would be a good idea. It's such a waste and it could be going to help people in need.
great finds. Just subscribed from Poland
cheers!
You are an inspiration. I try hard to recycle and buy second.
Thanks... love to hear that
What’s ya vinted? Crazy what they throw out madness 😮😮😮
U could easily open a shop and pay others a little for donating what they find to u.
Not a bad idea
The uni's should have collection points for unwanted items end of term to pass onto charity. Such a waste, I've never binned clothes or new shoes etc. Some students obviously been spoilt by parents have more money than sense and no social awareness of waste.
Totally agree
That green wase looked like uranium glass, could be worth some money. People collect them. They glow neon green when you shine a UV light on them.
Wish I knew this at the time! Hopefully someone else found it...
You got some great items! I have just found you and subbed. 👍👍👍👍👍
Thanks!
This really does work i do it once a week and get loads of new items 😂
That's the way to do it!
@@ryan_roams i only do it with large shops though.

It really is!
Love the pic of you diving into a green bin.. what did you get? Grass cuttings? 😂
In Leeds the green bins are recycling. Brown bins are garden waste.

I know right!
Well done top lad!
cheers mate
Well Done ..Maybe my next career move😄
Cheers... haha
FYI, food banks can’t go dumpster diving for health reasons. There needs to be a “chain of custody” so to speak.
Where the location.?
Hyde Park, Leeds
They won't go there health and safety charity... No chance I am afraid.. but good score you need a car bud will help you get the stock..🎉
Good point. Cheers mate!

And ex junkie, I know alot of homeless people don't have a phone or anoth credit to watch you tube,
Absolutely agree
Where is your Christmas Spirit Newman and your heart

Let us know your experience reading the dream journal, I’m pretty sure that was my housemates, should be some interesting stories in there😅
Don't think this one was your housemates as it was blank inside. I wouldn't have taken it if it had someone else's writing inside 😅

dumpster diving.. how low can you go
What a boring very short 9 minute video supposed to be about dumpster diving but it was mainly on you i nearly fell asleep 🤬😴👎🛌

It’s an admirable quality in a person that wants to cut down on landfill.
It stops all that stuff from being wasted, its a great idea!
I live not far from hyde Park, the best area is burley ( my area) the bins behind the student accommodations can be good
I’ve never thought to look behind the student halls. That’s a really good idea!
