    I have been using the BR3400 bag, on my back seat with no sissy bar or back rest behind it since 2014. I have had no problem with space in the bag, mine on the inside does have a spot that you can slide a laptop down in snug for your travel. It comes with a small piece that goes under the seat and you can attach the straps to that. I seem to tighten it down too much at times, and have slightly collapsed the bottom of the bag around the seat. Rain cover is ok for a small drizzle but not much more. If i anticipate rain, I pack my belongings that I do not wish to get wet inside a trash bag, and then slide that in the bag. I put thousands of miles on trips with this bag and other than the eventual sagging (that i believe would not be an issue if I had a sissy bar or back rest, and fading of the color from the sun) it is a great bag.

    I've used Saddlemen seats for years now. Love the quality. Didn't know they were making luggage now. Will have to check these out.

      @Alex Eidenier no, they started as a seat company. Hence their name. "Saddle"men. They've been around for a long time. Luggage wasn't even an option on their site a few years ago. www.saddlemen.com/

    I'm having a problem finding a bag that has a pocket or straps long enough to wrap around my passenger backrest. My backrest is about 12 inches wide and 3 inch thick.(It's just a stock backrest on my 2014 Heritage Softail) I've bought a Viking that matches my saddle bags perfectly, but straps are too short. then I bought a backpack style and the pocket that goes over the back rest is too small. Not a single RUclips video will focus in on the installation around the backrest (likely because there's nothing out there that actually works?)

    Anyone have suggestions for a bike specific either duffel bag or tall and wide backpack that might be good for fitting a kevlar vest at a minimum and maybe my duty belt. Trying to commute on my h2 but it's hard come summer to wear all my duty gear. Backpacks too small and I'm paranoid about just DIY strapping a duffel.

    • @RevZilla
      @RevZilla  5 лет назад

      What are the dimensions of the vest? That'll help determine what might work best. -DrewZilla

    • @nickfitzgerald2604
      @nickfitzgerald2604 5 лет назад

      @@RevZilla Odd dimensions as it curves, but it's 17x21 inches at the biggest dimensions. Though a shallow bowl like cupping is ok to free up a little room, I'm trying to avoid like it is now where I'm having to fold the side flaps quite tight inward on the 21inch dimension which can create creases over time/bad for the armor.
      A larger backpack probably best though I'd kinda like something that fits the h2SE pillion seat that has big enough of a foot print and is quick snap on/off. Trying to tour up to Salt Lake this year too.

    • @RevZilla
      @RevZilla  5 лет назад

      Unfortunately we don't have any backpacks that big, and the pillion might be a bit too small to support a bag big enough to fit 17"x21" vest plus duty belt. You might consider strapping your vest to the outside of the Saddlemen Tunnel Bag with either a cargo net or multiple ROK Straps. -DrewZilla

    • @nspinicelli
      @nspinicelli 3 года назад +1

      @@timothywatkins I returned it. Great quality and very nice people, but:
      1) the side doesn't expand like it does on the original version
      2) It's 55 liters, but the way it uses that space is awkward because of the dropped areas that straddle the seat. It couldn't fit my backpacking-camping equipment that usually required only about 45 liters including food/water.
      3) It does look a little cruiser-ish.
      I ended up getting the SW-Motech 600 drybag. I already had the Triumph small luggage rack extension, and with that attached, this drybag fits very well. The 350 version would fit much nicer but I like having the space, for future trips, riding styles, etc (like I plan on gettign a dual sport. I could pack extra padding/spare parts in this new SW Motech drybag. The drybag looks rugged on the bike, which I like.

    • @timothywatkins
      @timothywatkins 3 года назад

      @@nspinicelli thanks for the fairly extensive review! I’m going to try the TS1620S tunnel bag (the wider one), see how that fits. I don’t have the rack on my T120, so hopefully this will allow me to throw another bag on using the D rings.

      @@timothywatkins If yo uaren't looking for a moto-camping bag, just a daily ride/storage bag for jackets, raingear, tire repair kit, etc I think that will be perfect!
      For those items, I use the free Triumph backpack that they gave me when I bought my bike, and a $10 elastic cargo net. But that tunnel bag is way nicer.
