  • The Saddlemen BR3400 Tactical Bag delivers great style with a tactical, sleek look. Style is not the only concern - function is paramount in the design of this sissy bar bag. A perfect blend of rugged materials make this luggage tough, weather-resistant and long lasting. The unique combination of features and tactical look set this bag apart from all others.

    I have this exact bag, it's great. Only major flaw I have found: The rain cover is mostly absolutely worthless and will let any water it gets into contact with penetrate into the bags surface. So it's basically not waterproofing but just another contact point that gets between the bag and the elements. Everything that's inside compartments directly on the surface of the bag (so everything except the two big main compartments in the middle) will get moist. If you decide to get this bag, do upgrade the rain cover for something that's actually waterproof.

    Hands down, your video is far and away the best on this bag - thank you for making the time to give such a thorough review! I just ordered the bag a few days ago (before discovering your video), and I feel all the more assured after your review. I've got a '21 Street Bob with a Saddlemen Step-Up seat and an 18" sissy bar. Based on how you mounted to your Bolt (GREAT bike, btw - love Yamaha!), in addition to the slide-over sissy bar mount, I think I'll have to go underneath the seat with that fender pad you showed. May also investigate MOLLE attachments to use the seat pad on that side. Weird that they got it backwards. For the life of me, I don't know how anyone is supposed to make proper use out of that pad other than to attach to the webbing lol. Thanks again, safe riding and Merry Christmas.

      Thank you so much for your comment. Glad the video helped you. I should have a couple of Biltwell reviews coming during the Christmas break. Thanks again.

    Thank you for the comprehensive video. You have convinced me that I need this bag to replace on "old school" product that frustrated me to the point of trashing it. You covered every question that I had. I really appreciate the time that you put into this work. Gotta go, bro, and order it for the long September ride. Kenny

    The backrest pad will indeed fit in that front pocket so you can use it regardless of which way you mount it, but you lose that as storage space

    That was good,like the fact you did measurements of the inside of the storage areas. As well as idea of weight.

    Are you able to secure this to your bike somehow to prevent theft?

    • @lahalmediagroup5668
      @lahalmediagroup5668  2 года назад +1

      No, nothing built-in to help with that. I have seen people use a corded bike lock, to secure it to a sissy bar. But I would highly recommend bringing it into a hotel room at the end of the day.

      @@lahalmediagroup5668 awesome thank you. Do you also happen to know if a 16” MacBook Pro would fit in the laptop compartment?

    • @lahalmediagroup5668
      @lahalmediagroup5668  2 года назад

      So i quickly checked on the Apple website the dimensions of a 16" MBP. About 14"x10"x0.75". I have laptop that is 15"x10.5"x1". And it doesn't fit, not in the horizontal or vertical position. BUT it does fit in the diagonal position across the entire opening of that bag, kind of splitting the interior compartment into 2 triangles. Hope that makes sense. I can probably make a quick video if you want a visual. Let me know, hope this helps. Thanks

      @@lahalmediagroup5668 That would help greatly if you wouldn't mind doing that. I never received a response from Saddlemen so I gave them a call yesterday and they said they BR3400 should have no issue fitting a 16" laptop in the laptop compartment that the bag has so being able to see what you are talking about would be a HUGE help.
