Yeah that damn 4R 16 year. Knee buckling. Friend lent me a sample and it was my sip of the year. I know they are very limited single barrels butbthe one I tried had it's luxurious flavors of fruit and oak unfurl all across the tongue and never gets overwhelmed by the proof point. Master class stuff.
I don't believe it is double oaked. The Bowman American Oak is part of their oak series to see how the wood impacts the flavor keeping all other elements equal (mash, location in warehouse, aging, etc). They previously released a French Oak earlier in 2024. They were both aged 12 years in their respective wood barrels to show the difference those types of wood add to the final product. I go into more detail in my review of it: ruclips.net/video/Mg2Kp-p55Rk/видео.html
I don’t understand how it tastes so wildly different then from their other CS releases. I know the French oak used charred and uncharred barrels, but this one couldn’t have done that because it’s still labeled bourbon. I’m just confused by it.
@ I agree it taste off profile compared to the A. Smith Bowman’s. I’ll send you a picture of the letter. Maybe there is something in there you can catch that I missed.
The way I smiled and said “Damn Cam” many times while watching this episode…so bad*ss! Stoked to have subscribed just a few weeks ago!
Jesus Cam, HEADSHOT

The power of the scarves baby, awesome video today Cam.
Maybe you got a tainted sample of glass 1 🤔. Like EHTBPR 🤔
I am not a fan of toasted and double oaked products! I get this old crappy popsicle stick note! I just cannot do it!
