    As a lifelong social liberal I believe that handing over power to the ANC was a dreadful mistake. A huge majority of voters in 1992 agreed that negotiations to end Apartheid should go ahead. What we did not agree to - and were not asked to agree to -- was that the country should simply be handed over on a silver platter to the Oliver Tambo gang. Who then proceeded to ransack the country, condemning half the people they claimed to "liberate" tobeggars

    • @buzzyb12000
      @buzzyb12000 3 года назад +3

      Yes I agree as well. By handing over to black majority rule was like handing power over to wild horses, marxists and terrorists. Was a sad day for South Africa.

    I think Pik shares the same view of his DG in the NIS guys and including Neil of his own department, Neil Barnard went on to say that they are negotiating on the position of weakness but at the end of the day the apartheid policy is not in the state statute books. All of us accepted that it's a crime against humanity, people can even insult the state president without consequences, yes it's quite unfair

    Jy was deel van Mnr. de Klerk se onderhandelingsspan. U, julle, julle gaan 'n Nuwe Suid-Afrika skep. Waar niemand niemand gaan onderdruk nie. Julle was ons leiers en ons het julle geglo! Ons was soos skape en julle ons herders en julle het ons gelei na die SLAGPALE... Die mooi beloftes. "Jy sal nog steeds Afrikaans kan praat". Dit was JULLE verantwoordelikheid om Afrikaners NIE oor te gee aan die mag van die volksvreemde meerderheid nie.. Julle is (was) die room van die Afrikanerdom. Waar is julle kinder en kleinkinders nu? Nog in Zuid-Afrika? Julle het 'n moeilike saak gehad om te regverdig. (Soos Israel en Nrd-Ierland en ens.) Soos 'n baie ingewikkelde en ryk boedel saak wat vir etlike dekade op dekade sloer. Waarvan die prokureurs al verskeie kere herroep/ afgehaal is van die verdeling. Julle het die boedel nie afgehandel nie. Julle het dit verkwansel. En die erfgename, die Afrikaners, is WEES gelaat... Leon Schutster het 'n gepaste liedjie van julle onderhandellings(om-)vermoee daargestel, "Flat Wheel de Klerk".

SA will end up like Zimbabwe….a basket case, when I was a kid in SA it was the food capital of the world. Sadly my father passed away when I was 12 and my mother married an Italian guy and happy here in Australia, wouldn’t live anywhere else in the world under a Liberal National Party Government here.
