I was diagnosed with the same just recently. Need to see Dr. again and stop drinking ! As for the neuropathy --yes, I have such a symptoms as: dizziness, sickness, muscle weakness, twitches, stomach bloating, muscle cramps, funny sensation in one leg/numbness, and a lot more. I know that I used to consume a lot of alcohol and chew nicotine gum. Now, nearly stopped that crap.Taking Vit. B1(thiamine), Vit B2, B6.
@@buffys3477 Tgey say it’s not causing mine because my ferritin is not in the high hundreds and my organs not iron loaded 🤷🏼♀️ But surely it must affect them
Hi Guy - no evidence red wine is high in iron and the anti-oxidants in red wine are thought to help reduce iron absorption - in moderation of course. No association between eggs and iron absorption we know of so neither good nor bad. Ok to include eggs in your diet..
Good for I was diagnosed 10 days ago with secondary hemochromatosis I was wondering has anyone ever had a neuropathy related to it

Do you suffer from colds and viruses often?
It’s a win win situation
So red wine is high in iron? I've read that it helps reduce iron absorbtion. Also can anyone confirm if eggs are good or bad for iron levels?

Alcohol aggravates a liver stressed by hemochromatosis.
Eggs help to block iron . Calcium is one of the best to block iron as is tea and coffee .
I read eggs cheese & dairy are low iron
Eggs are good in blocking iron.
