Nintendo does things smartly for their brand this time because with Xenoblade they finally have a very solid and consistent JRPG franchise just like PlayStation with Final Fantasy. Monolith Soft also helps a lot on many other Nintendo games. How fitting that the creator used to work for Square Enix long ago.

Maybe that Nin playtest has a big secret for XCX2. Maybe XCX2 will will be able to play with other players to build on Planet Mira & uncover it's secrets.
Monolith is possibly the best Nintendo owned studio. They got all the Xenoblade series out on one console and also provided dev support for Zelda, Animal Crossing, and Splatoon
Buying Monolithsoft was quite possibly their best business decision since them deciding to throw their hat into the gaming industry in the first place. It's at the very least in the top 5.
I cannot wait to sink like 100+ hrs into this game. Also the music is soooooo PEAK I can listen to THEMEX for DAYS I have a feeling they will tine it into the main trilogy somehow someway IT IS HAPPENING

I played this forever ago, my FIRST Xenoblade game and my favorite. Nothing beats the power trip you get when you get the really cool thing by chapter 7-9 (haven’t played in a while and am avoiding spoiling it)
I've been asking for this in almost every direct i've seen up until a year or 2 ago. By far the port / remaster / enhance that i wanted the most and now it's finally happening.
i remember hearing so much about the xenoblade games long ago and i only started getting into them after pyra and mythra were added to smash ultimate... once i got into XBC1 definitive edition, i could see why they were so loved. i became obsessed and poured over a hundred or so hours into that game, followed by XBC2, then i got XBC3 and all DLC. i am excited to finally see what XBCX is like, especially the mechs. :D
Many tned to say how XCX soundtrack is the worse part of this game, but not for me! I alway consider xcx actually having better soundtrack than the og Xenoblade trilogy lol.

I guarantee you the only criticisms anyone has with the soundtrack is it often drowns out the dialogue in cutscenes and stuff like the Skell flight theme is so poorly coded in the game that it loops over and over whenever you go from flight mode to ground mode. The soundtrack itself is universally loved.
Yeah, "1, 2, 3, 4..." crap - really peak, especially the sound mixing where you can't understand a word and need subtitles. I hope they fix and give us an option to mute it while in NLA...

I bought Wii U 10 years ago on the first day that this game came out and I only had 2 Wii U games (Xenoblade X and Tokyo Mirage Session). Now.......I can transform my Wii U to a paperweight. When I saw this game get Remake I'm glad but I also feel like I waste a lot of money buying Wii U. 😭
HMK words can not begin to describe how excited i am to finally see Xenoblade Chronicles X come to the Switch. It's like being freed from a prison finally. This game was the ONLY reason I kept my WiiU. I had the Special Edition of it when it came out. I'll always treasure. Here's hoping for a small scale replica of the White Whale or the Habitat. 😉
It was the last relatively easy thing they could release quickly before the next new entry in the Xenoblade franchise. Monolith Soft keeps releasing banger game after banger game to get our attention. That's how you build a legacy and soon Xenoblade will be regarded as a giant in the JRPG landscape.

The Gamepad on the Wii U made it possible to display map and items without pausing. The new Nintendo system will have two screens I heard. So we will see. I've played this for years and my copy is clean af. Old hat for Wii U owners. The price will fall off for WII U version I'm sure. I paid 50 for used copy years back. Map is huge so good luck y'all.
I wanted a port of.this game. Its even better vecause we are getting a Def Edition!! XC1 Def Ed is imho one of the best (if not THE best) remakes in gaming history, so I am totally hyped to finally be able to play this one

Also all the Baten Kaitos games too. So we got all the Xenoblade and Baten Kaitos on Switch. This is just too much if you are fans of Monolith's work.
