simply put, Dizaster rapped better, Caustic punched better. Caustic's shit is what hits today, this style of writing Dizaster is using here was what hit far harder back then. It's still great writing but it doesn't have the same impact to today's fans.
Exactly. This was back when Diz was still trying to convince people he was freestyling. So basically the way he worked his material is as follows:
He'd write anywhere from 12 to 40 bars on a rhyme scheme with a loose topic, then when he switched schemes he'd throw a quick freestyle bar or 2 to link them together.
Diz's biggest improvement since that era, was improving his setups. Getting rid of stuff like medical noose and metal dispenser, and stopping rhyming just to rhyme. It made his multis weaker since he went from like 12 syllables to 3-8.
All that said, diz is a 🐐 now and caustic was way ahead of his time.

Dominus Ghaul to be fair, we never got to see Eyedea really grow like Eminem. And Eyedea coulda beat Em in the 90s. Doesn’t mean Eyedea would beat Em as an artist, though I feel Eyedea’s music I’ve heard more
What I can say definitively is that Eyedea was and still is a far better freestyler. Juice is nasty off the top too. As for Em, his freestyles come off more like his First Word freestyle(though he does have better ones and free verses).
