I've put color matching hootchies on most of my spinners so far. Still haven't decided if that makes a difference in strikes at this point in time 😂 cause I can't land any apparently haha. The video is very relaxing in the rain some of the most peaceful times are out in the rain.
Hey Ryan, thanks!🙏 I think it is a really good rod as far as it’s shape and size and capability. I don’t know that I am as much of a fan of the handle as I am of cork.
Make sure if you buy some Durasnares from the website that you use the discount code. I’m having the owner track how many people and who use the code I’m going to do a giveaway after 20 different people buy from him.
@AutomagicFishing will do for sure. I usually use the crab hawks but a lot of my friends use the snares. I've used them and even made them, but usually prefer the crab hawk. I'm going to try one of the Durasnares though, and I'll have to get a jet diver too.
Thanks 😊 Curtis It’s ok not to catch!! It was something to just stand ankles deep in tidal waters cranking spinners in the rain staying warm and dry wearing hoodies and quality rain gear!!!
Brandie, that’s a good point. Yes bigger wings might be needed. So far the theory is only tried with no bait and no crab. 🦀 I’ll have to try it out in real time action!
Pretty cool idea for the snare. I'm curious to know if it will have any effect on the landing ratio or if dragging the crab across the surface like that may knock them off. Also, wonder how it will work with the weight of 3 fullsize dungies on there. That will definitly help prevent snagging on the retrive though.
Liquid sunshine! Or is that Oregon Mist? When its pouring here in Washington, I call it Oregon Mist, as in "It missed Oregon and hit us." Hoochie on the spinner, nice touch. Whatcha using for mainline on that spinning reel? Just curious. 65 pound braid, I heard. What brand? It sure casts nice. I've only ever used sand shrimp for springers and steelhead. You've caught coho on sand shrimp? Hey, I'm out of zeal for that spot, too. Genius idea with the Jet Diver. Interesting Live earlier with the individual cameras. Shoot, I'd of trimmed up my beard if I knew people were gunna see me. Talk to you soon. Yeah, I'll call Mr. Morgan tomorrow morning. Thanks for the video!
Thank you, William, that was awesome having you join us on the live! I have mixed feelings about that format, but it’s probably fun to do once in a while like that. As always 1000% appreciated on such a great comment
This is a meaningful comment, lots of thought and effort went into this comment, I had to stop watching on my TV and switch to my cell phone so I could leave such a heartfelt and thoughtful comment. Hope my meaningful and very thoughtful comment does not go unnoticed.. LMAO....😅
Oh dang Kev you must really want that rod if you went to all that trouble!!! lol 😂 If you really wanted it, get Nita to start committing on everything!! She’s always lucky 🍀
Ive noticed you said you used 65 pound test on your reel for bobber fishing but if I did that on my reel I would only be able to drift my bobber to the next guy beside me 😂 would 30lb work?

That really seems to be true. In the elements and dressing appropriately to stay comfortable makes the difference
Yeah, that concept would work perfectly around jetties and such. That's a really good idea.
JJ
I think it’s sound even if it’s baited and a few crab tangled in it!!
Thats cool!
I’m going to have to try it on some deep troughs!!
The weather turned nice for you.
Yeah, crazy how that weather system change so quick
Glad to have found this channel.
Glad that you and your husband have become part of the family
I like the look of your new rod

Good idea on that diver. Gonna take my daughter to the river Wednesday. Hoping for a nice chrome winter steelhead or four 😂
Go get em
Awesome idea. Now I'll have to try that for sure

@ the jet diver is typically not necessary. I just ran into a trouble spot because I was being aggressive and fishing down into a deep hole.
Fish on bro
Yessir!!
glad that worked for you
It’s not complete until I prove it with a catch.
Sorry you didn't catch a salmon. But that's one hell of a great a idea Brian way to use your thinking cap on that one. 💡💡💡💡
Thanks 😊 Curtis

@AutomagicFishing it's definitely nice when you have good rain gear, so you don't get soaking wet to the bone. It's no fun when you're cold and wet.
Automagic, what about demonstration on raising the crabs. May need larger wings.

What sz diver are you using
The package says that it’s a 3 1/2 inch clear

No, I wouldn’t risk it
How will act with the weight of the crab.???? Will it still surface
That’s a good question that I haven’t tested yet. I’m definitely thinking it’s going to improve its chances of surfacing though.
I know what river you are on. 😮
The Nooka Walka Locha in southern Oregon!!
Only 80 left!
It’s the final countdown!
