- Easy and comforting asparagus dish that can be made with few ingredients. We smother green asparagus in a creamy Mornay sauce (Béchamel with cheese). Try it out!
Ingredients for 4 people:
600 gr / 1.3 oz green asparagus
50 gr / 1.8 oz / 3.5 tbsp salted butter
50 gr / 1.8 oz / 6 tbsp all-purpose flour
250 ml / 8.5 fl. oz full-fat cream (~38% fat)
250 ml / 8.5 fl. oz whole milk (~3% fat)
150 gr / 5.5 oz mozzarella cheese (grated)
75 gr / 2.7 oz parmesan cheese (1/3 for the sauce + 2/3 for topping the dish)
1 clove of garlic
1 tbsp olive oil
Salt & pepper
