This never gets old... Wow.. One of the best drummers ever.. He's so groovy, tight and tasteful.. He's indeed one of the best. Thank you for this video @RcKDrUmm3R
his style is pretty unique the way he writes his drum parts. he always has the perfect groove and accents to make the song very musical if thats the right way to describe it lol. his accent work is just so amazing and works so well with the music
Been a drummer for 14 years. Huge fan of Chad, and a huge fan of Carey. I dont think there is a song i listened to more than breath in my entire life.... and yet.... i never thought of tool when i listened to Breath. Never once. My mind is blown.
Absolutely unbelievable. This guy has excellent taste in everything he does. He uses more when its perfect and backs off to less at exactly the right places.
I love the simple sound of the snare without stringer gives it a rock hip hop sound without sounding like like hip hop if that makes sense and the little ascents sounds like a splash symbol very cool
Well said. Cobus is a great drummer, and he is actually the person who inspired me to begin playing in the first place, but I will admit he's just a tad overrated. Chad, on the other had, is sorely underrated. He has some of the best taste and groove out of almost any drummer alive.
It just goes to show how rotten Ben's persoanlity is if a great person such as Chad couldn't take it anymore and left him. "Creative differences" my ass. If you take the time and notice, Ben always wanted to take credit for everything in the band, even the drumming. A drummer's personality is always more humble and honest than a Lead singer, ALWAYS
Cool he implements other artist aspects. He might say he stole it..but this is a original masterpiece. Idk if he improvised..but this is diff than the album version
I promise it’s not as hard as it looks, what I do is I listen 2 times and then play on the 3rd. I learned it in 4 practice sessions. It just takes determination and the willingness to make mistakes the first few run throughs.
Chad do more of this but with closer camera better drum sound etc lije in a studio type environment look at cobus matt Maguire luke holland etc one thing u have on those type fuys is u have legit hits in an awesome band that people including myself would love to see....do it bro!!!
@eminemnotlilwayne Cobus isn't just as good. Cobus himself would say that. He even said when he covered this in the video description it was intimidating covering a drummer that has THAT much feel (meaning Chad) Cobus is a really good drummer and very creative, but no where near Chad. Very few drummers out there are.
love this drummer! He is skilled way beyond anything he plays with breakin ben. was a lil disapointed he didnt play it exactly like the album< thats kinda why is was watching so i could learn to play it but hey its his song i guess hes alowed to do that. anyway i love the parts he writes..cymbal accents are always nasty. Yaaaaay chad!

Im not sure if anyone has better fills than Chad. Hes just awesome,

N SAL my favorite song of all time and I would've never thought of Tool either. Pretty cool!
Exactly the same here! Drummer and listens a lot to Breaking benjamin and used to listen a lot to tool. Didn’t think of it
Same here i never realized it lol
You're amazing! Fills inside of fills. You make it look so effortless, and natural. You weren't made for drums, drums were made for you!
Absolutely unbelievable. This guy has excellent taste in everything he does. He uses more when its perfect and backs off to less at exactly the right places.
4:02, that sequence is amazing
This guy is definitely an inspiration and influence to me as a drummer
I love the simple sound of the snare without stringer gives it a rock hip hop sound without sounding like like hip hop if that makes sense and the little ascents sounds like a splash symbol very cool
The fill at 3:26 OMG! Chad is a master!
One of the underrated and overlooked IMHO. Much love to the Black Label Society days as well Chad 🤘
wow that is really beautiful first rate drumming.
The changes/improv he does in the second verse! JAW DROPPING!!!
The audio quality is surprisingly good
Thank you I used the Zoom camera and it has condenser microphones on it 🤘
They couldn't handle the awesomeness

I LOVE his drumming style...holy fuck, so much inspiration in my drumming
Disappointed he is no longer in BB
Yeah, he really has the best composition of any drummer. His drumming fit PERFECTLY with Breaking Benjamin's music.
Yea me too. Guess we'll see what this new drummer will be like
Yeah. I'm anxious.
It just goes to show how rotten Ben's persoanlity is if a great person such as Chad couldn't take it anymore and left him. "Creative differences" my ass. If you take the time and notice, Ben always wanted to take credit for everything in the band, even the drumming.

don't get me wrong. dark before dawn is a fantastic album.
but BB is just not the same without this man!!!!
Song starts at 2:05
he's the drummer in breaking benjamin...
That was dope 🔥
Awesome groove!!
That's Buddy Rich and John Bonham came back to see Chad Szeliga playing drums.
Cool he implements other artist aspects. He might say he stole it..but this is a original masterpiece. Idk if he improvised..but this is diff than the album version
Me: *Hears the song* Hmm.. I bet I could play this! *Watches this* Oh, nevermind..
Rain W its not that hard bro give it a try just feel it more than trying to play along might take a few trys but ud be surprised....good luck

I’ve learned with Chad’s drumming you’ve gotta feel it out more than think about it.
Chad do more of this but with closer camera better drum sound etc lije in a studio type environment look at cobus matt Maguire luke holland etc one thing u have on those type fuys is u have legit hits in an awesome band that people including myself would love to see....do it bro!!!
this is somebody filming on their phone at a drum clinic in New Jersey. He has other videos that he has made out there
never thought the thing came from Sober lol
I had a difficult time hearing what you were saying, but awesome with the drums! As always! keep it up :)
Mind blowing ☆☆☆☆☆
Anyone know what Joe Walsh/Eagles song he’s talking about?
03:25 nice!
i love druming i have a tama drum set
Why the hell are there empty chairs? Yikes!
02:06
why did he quit BB, he was really good :((
BB was on hiatus for 5 years. He needed to work with a stable band.
@@brettsepulveda2994 ahh, thx dude
I much prefer Chad in BB over the “new” drummer of the past 10 years, Shaun Foist.
Is Chad running open handed playing but with his snares on the left side ??? I swear he was a cross over player
you usally play open on your left snare because its just not practical playing cross then
What’s up with him swing his arms around his body? Is that just for show?

At least he openly admits he stole the rythm concept lol
DJ WIKID Yeah, adapt and modify. Everything is like that. It's just like sampling, yeah?
BLS along with Zakk Wylde!
@brtl1000s yeah hes great but cobus is just as good !!!!
rohan parrett lol youre a funny person
rohan parrett who the fuck is Cobus 😂 any music he created? Hope u like them covers
I applaud and enjoy his style, but not his showman ship for how he plays haha a little weird in my opinion. but different!
I sure hope you are kidding.
@ 1.08 the guy in a cap yawned! HOW RUDE!!! >:(
