If you ever served as I have you will understand why these are more practical for combat. I do not wish to go into much detail but let us just say in a defensive situation where piercing is important this blade works well. I own several Benchmades and my favorites are actually autos. Unfortunately when you decide to play in a sandbox with powder that gets into everything autos require much more cleaning to operate. Also with it being washers over bearings the turret seemed to work well in the hellish conditions.
Excellent review! I like this particular knife so much I bought 3 Turrets, two in plain edge and one with serrations. I changed the deep pocket clip to the standard Benchmade three hole clip after bending the deep clips twice when it caught on my seat belt while existing my vehicle. Benchmade has excellent customer service and gave me replacement clips free. Keep the reviews coming brother!
Great review and you have some awesome knives. I've been dying for a review of the dpx hest leggaro which is the titanium flipper version, if you ever have a chance. Thanks
