Man im glad i found this video. Me and my 11 year old son just got our first bass boat at the beginning of bass spawn and weve been struggling so bad with catching anything. My son finally got lucky last week and caught a bass under ome pound after probably 11-15 trips out. I have been feeling alot of guilt not beimg able to teach him better. Which im learning myself. Ive been out 20+ times and ive caught a total 9 bass just recently from the same lake different days. Weve been to 6 different lakes total. But im going to try this method. I sure hope it works because hes losing interest.

I wish you and your son good luck! Fishing has a high learning curve, but stay a student of the sport and you will become more and more consistent out on the water!

@@LoadtheBoatwithZach I've watched thousands of RUclips videos on fishing. Ive watched a few your videos so far. The way that you show Hands-On and at the end where you explain the lures and little bits of information These have become my favorite already I'm in the process of watching every single one multiple times thank you for taking the time to make these videos

Don't give up. It's hot right now and the bass aren't hitting as hard. Most have gone deep and/or layed up in tall grass. Texas rigs with various creature baits and frogs work well for me on lakes. You should have your boat on the water before 5:30 a.m.

how did you determine throwing a top water lure was the go to ?

I noticed cicadas getting blown up on as they were falling in the water due to car traffic on the bridge. Topwater always gets a chance eventually but seeing that made me rotate it in quicker.
